Shanley Simpson, CEO of You Go Girl Co., has spent most of her career owning and operating Opportune Independent Publishing Co. and authoring several books. Her career in writing made for an easy transition to writing and designing greeting cards. Once she realized there was a gap in the greeting card industry, she decided to fill it with underrepresented features and profiles of black and brown people.

Shanley decided to use her newfound spare time, due to the COVID pandemic, to start You Go Girl Co. to do her part as it relates to the long-standing social gaps. Her dream is to help fill in those spaces, one card at a time.
