Student Wellness
We recognize that your student's wellness is likely among your top concerns as they transition to Laker Life. These are real concerns and we want to give you the tools and information to help your student (and yourself) through this big life event. We'll be addressing common concerns and how you can support student success. In the second half of the episode, we will be joined by Dr. Casey Phillips, Assistant Vice President - Students, and the Big Boss of Student Development & Services, to discuss the university's role in supporting learners and how you play an important role in ensuring your Laker gets the support they might need along the way.
A Unique Learning Environment
You've seen the ads, maybe you've visited the campus, but in this episode, we will uncover the Nipissing University experience in a new way. Whether your student is new to North Bay or was born and raised in town, this is an opportunity for you to learn about this community hub from the student perspective. In the second half of the episode, we'll be joined by Scott Robertson, B.Ed. class of 2011 alumnus and North Bay City Councillor, for an in depth discussion into why he moved to North Bay and how his experience at NU shaped his reasons for staying and giving back to the community.
