1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Philippians 2: 14 "Do everything without complaining and arguing. "

Philippians 3:1 “Finally my brothers, rejoice in the Lord!” and also This is the day the Lord has made."

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

Ephesians 4:29 "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

Ephesians 6: 5-8  "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free."

Today is a different type of episode. I'm going WAY personal and sharing the things God taught me as a 31 year old that I'm so thankful already knowing as I step into 32. Some of these lessons are just fun and some can totally be helpful for your work life.

2. Two powerful things that FINALLY helped me have mild periods (GOOD-BYE nasty period cramps! You will NOT be missed)

3. How God is helping me not fear aging anymore

Bible verses mentioned:

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Proverbs 16:31 "Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life."

Luke 9:12-17

12 Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

13 He replied, “You give them something to eat.”

They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” 14 (About five thousand men were there.)

But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” 15 The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. 16 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. 17 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

23. Hustle & Hurry Aren’t Holy (my story of living this popular but dangerous lifestyle) PART 1

23. Hustle & Hurry Aren’t Holy (my story of living this popular but dangerous lifestyle) PART 1

Hey friends! Today I’m diving into my personal testimony of engaging in hustle culture and why doing that is so toxic to what God calls us to do as Christians. I’m also sharing my history with hurry and why I’m now working hard with God to rid myself of this unpeaceful pace of life that I’ve been dealing with for decades.

In this episode I chat about:

  1. Why I originally thought hustle COULD be holy and was harmless

  2. How I knew God was leading me to bring back this podcast

  3. What moment inspired me to change the name of this podcast

  4. Why hustle and hurry prevent us from being godly people and obeying God

  5. The difference between hustle and hurry

  6. What two things made me finally experience breakthrough in greatly reducing hurry in my life

  7. The benefits I’ve noticed of pursuing an unhurried life (think better periods!)

  8. How hustle and hurry robbed me of living a  joyful and abundant life (the kind of life John 10:10 talks about)

  9. Why it’s okay to be imperfect in your journey to change bad habits and how Romans 8:1 can be a great comfort to you as you try to change your ways with work

  10. How working fast and working with hurry are different

Now, on to today's show notes!

The topic of today's podcast episode? How to Have Healthy Social Media Usage.

I'm sharing things God revealed to me in 2021 that have helped me feel more in control with my social media usage, especially Instagram. I share tips that are applicable and helpful in changing any unwanted habit though, not necessary just changing social media habits.

Remember, you can always go back to what you were doing before! Remind yourself that when trying out new routines and habits. Test out the waters. It's less daunting when you don't have to think about doing a new thing for thirty days or a year. Just try it for ONE DAY.

See how you like the new way of doing things! Notice how you feel after! Remind yourself of those good feelings when you are tempted to do the old habit again.

Hi Friend! Welcome back to another bonus epi!

Intuitive Eating mindsets have helped me have a healthier business mindset too. Today, I'm sharing how the food freedom principles I teach my faith based 1:1 clients to heal their relationship with food, have also helped me ditch hurry in running my own virtual coaching business, Nutrition with Nyla. Intuitive Eating has made my life 8000 times more enjoyable, in so many areas, business being one of them.

I'll also be sharing some of my own journey healing body image and how I finally feel "normal" around food.

Love how I talk about food in this episode? Do you have a Intuitive Eating Coach? I'd love to be yours! Let someone who has learned the ropes, show YOU the ropes.

Areas I focus on with my clients include:

1. Feeling CALM instead of OUT OF CONTROL around food.

2. Feeling confident in your current body size (yes, it's possible).

3. Ditching miserable food rules.

4. Enjoying a happy relationship with exercise.

  • Bible Verses Mentioned:

Philippians 3:13-14 "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (NIV)."

Psalm 18:29 "In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall (NLT)."
