Do you try so many things to lose weight? Do you attempt to run as much you can? Do you controll your emotions over delicious food? Do you gym? Swim? crash course diet? intermittent fasting? and what not. 

Despite all that Do you struggle to lose weight?


Even though you witnessed initial days of success; Does your weight loss graph reaches a plateau. Do you start to gain weight from that point?

I have a similar problem; thankfully I got a course correction.

Our weight loss journey hits roadblock, in form of bad health condition due to lower immunity, or too much stress in professional life which demands all our time and energy. Sometimes we reach an emotional phase where all our weight loss resolutions go on toss or we follow the path of poor lifestyle by consuming alcohol, fast foods; just to get some temporary relief from. 

Square One – Weight loss journey comes to a halt

Sometimes we feel this belly fat will never disappear. 


We feel, this belly is going to sustain even if we survive on air.


We are just jealous of those people who eat way too much, but they are leaner and fitter. 


Why? What is wrong with us? 


Having said that; Do you also observe following symptoms in you?

1. Some darkness around the juncture of neck and shoulder? 

2. Eating way too much?

3.  A never satisfying thirst?

4. Muscle and bone pain after workouts?

Well, there must be some chemical imbalance in your body which prevents you to lose weight.  


You must get a full body checkup done. Following tests are crucial to investigate what type of chemical imbalance in your body is responsible for increased weight 


1. Vitamin D and Vitamin B12

2. Blood Sugar level after fasting – give sample in morning empty stomach

3. Serum Insulin level

4. Lipid Profile 


Consult these test reports with a general physician or specialist. You might find yourself at deficit or excess of these chemicals. Are they outside the prescribed range?

One day I realized that I have become a news junkie. I was into a habit of reading news all the time. And my smartphone ensured that I will have a good supply of news updates on the topics I have shown interest in past.   But, one day I reached the tipping point. I had enough of latest news updates. I uninstalled some of those news applications which were there on my phone. I deactivated the news feed on my Android's home page. Yes, that news feed which is just a right swipe away on the phone's home page.  Watch this video on my observations how smartphones and digital technology influence or physical behavior and its potential to effect us mentally.

This decade of internet penetration into our lives has also made us warriors of a digital rat race. This is the rat race of happiness! That’s what we do on social media. We scroll down timelines to see so many happenings and happiness. Why there is a constant pressure to make outside world know that I am somebody and “My life is happening”? Why we want a celebrated life? Why social media is the HUB of our emotions? Why different states of our mind establish a direct link with these websites and mobile applications?  Have you wondered How these platforms have become such a prominent mode of self-expression.  To manage the cost of hosting and maintaining these websites, mobile applications, employing brilliant software programmers they feed us some targeted advertisements. Sounds reasonable, right?  This generation of social media platforms successfully count your time spent on their website or mobile application as the profit you have generated for them. They mint money whenever you sneak through these applications.   You think it is leisure, and you are off work. But, reality is that every single moment you use these applications you work for them. Every single bit of data generated by you is the digital asset they own. This asset is commonly referred as “The Big Data”.  We work for them, and most of us get paid in kind not in cash. We trade off our time to get a dose of dopamine released by our hormones through the likes, comments, followers, statistics, comparisons, jealousy, depression and an addictive motivation to remain in that web loop.   They have secret promotions for diverse types of affiliations which you should build. You aspire to achieve them. You work hard to acquire them.   These aspirations are not BURNING DESIRES. This is a wish list of never-ending materialistic possessions. You acquire one, you have the next one ready in queue.   In short, we work for their profit.   We fulfill their dream.  Nothing is free. If you are not paying for the product; then you are the product. You are being sold. You are the revenue.  Remember, It is not a computer program; In Fact, you are being programmed.  Your aspiration is list is not a natural tendency of human desire, it is targeted marketing. With political parties harnessing the social media to their benefits, propaganda and biased consensus building; the future looks more appalling  They have profiled each of us into categories of influencers and influences. We all are their marketing agents. Some of them paid in cash, most of us PAID through the fake addictive happiness we experience through some released dopamine somewhere in our body.  You are constantly being programmed through these marketing platforms to work harder, earn more than before, and then ‘blow up your increased earnings for the Wishlist you built IN THAT CONSTANT MARKETING RADIATION.  Let’s call “Enough is Enough” and find more productive ways to lead your life.
