#7 The importance of Zero Waste in Portugal – an Interview with Andre Goncalves from Zero Desperdício
André is a volunteer for the non-profit organization Zero Desperdício (which means “zero waste” in Portuguese) which is an NGO focused on preventing and reducing the generation of waste in all areas of industry, commerce, and consumption. He is an alumnus from the NOVA SBE with a broad background in consulting, and lots of experience in the areas of Strategy & Innovation, Project Management and Information Technology, in sectors such as Services, Energy, Retail, Fashion and Industry.
In this interview, you will discover what Zero Desperdício does to prevent waste. André also speaks about the responsibility each individual, governments and businesses have to promote the concept of a circular economy as the ultimate goal would be to understand waste as a resource.
