Natalie, originally from Austin, Texas, grew up as the yoga movement was taking off and it inspired a lifetime passion. When her and Max, from a long line of entrepreneurs, went on a sabbatical in Southeast Asia they realized that they wanted a little more from their practice. Ankle weights hadn’t been updated since the ‘80s, and while everyone loves a pop of neon, they thought they could bring it a little more up to date. Cut to a sketch on a napkin, which led to a prototype, which turned into the Bala Bangle.
Fast forward to last year, Natalie brought her sister Erica Holloway on as Bala’s Brand Director - Bala’s first hire!
Today, Bala is carried in over 1000 retail locations worldwide.

Lindsey Carter is the Founder of Set Active, an activewear and lifestyle apparel brand. She is 28 but always knew she wanted to be her own boss. Growing up in Beverly Hills, she remembers feeling like an outsider in her family when her mom passed away at a young age. She knew that feeling a sense of community would be the motivation behind building her own business. The first company she started was a social media marketing agency, but quickly realized she didn’t want to hand her creative ideas over to others. That’s when she decided to launch her own line and market her own product.
Being a girl on the go she is always running from meetings to networking lunches to going out with friends with no time to stop at home to change. This is what inspired her activewear line, Set Active which launched in May of 2018. Choosing to focus on the versatility of activewear is what sets her brand apart. This is displayed within the market and on social media, and has earned her over 118K followers on Instagram. She credits her success to surrounding herself with a strong support system and fantastic team. And, as cliché as it sounds, never giving up— even on the toughest days.
