Old Enough to Know Better

Old Enough to Know Better

By Jennifer Welch
Most of us are old enough to know better. Better than to heed bad advice, make bad decisions, buy ketchup popsicles while wearing white clothes...sometimes we do it anyway. Sometimes we don't.

It's not about lecturing, being old or even just making mistakes. Its more about perceptions and lessons learned or reinforced in life from that perspective.

Soft Crabs and Yucky Pools
I've been so productive lately. I've burned the candle at both ends though and I'm not certain it's worth the trade off. I'm going to think about it. Also, my pool is a scary place.  Hope you enjoy the podcast, and if you do, don't forget to rate, subscribe and share! My Husband and I Lost 100 Pounds!
Not each, but together, my husband and I have lost one hundred pounds in just under 5 months. The secret is...there is no secret! We just did a little dieting and made a lot of changes. Neither of us works out. Just sharing our methods and experiences. If you are watching your weight or dieting, I hope you can gain something from this.  We're both officially old enough to know better than to try crash dieting. Afraid of the Dark
I have a guest this episode, Bree from Nightmare Fuel, she's also my adult daughter.  I always think I'm old enough that I'm not or should not be afraid of the dark...until something goes bump in the night. Accents and Ways of Speaking
We all have those words we use a little too frequently, ok, um, really, literally, like. Mine is apparently uh or um. Silence is in a conversation is ok, but I feel the need to fill it; Do you? I haven't exactly traveled the globe, but I have come across some interesting regional saying or accents in my travels. I've been told I have one of my own, but don't notice it at all. I've adopted a way of speaking that reflects where I'm from and my experiences in life. Not everyone gets it.        Hope you enjoy the podcast, and if you do, don't forget to rate, subscribe and share! Feedback? Ep1 Old Enough to Know Better Intro
When I’d ask an older person how old they were, they’d say something along the lines of “Old enough to know better, too young to care!” Instead of “56, kid, I’m 56!” It used to irk me; I sincerely thought this was just some dumb thing old people said. Maybe it is. Unfortunately, I’m at a point in my life where this seems to be a mission statement. Sorry...It's a bit choppy, I said "uh" and "um" a dozen times and I annoyed myself, audio editing is new to me; in the future I'll just avoid the uhs and ums!  Feedback? - OldEnoughtoKnoBetter@gmail.com Edit* I flaked and said Raani Stark near the end...her name is most certainly Raani Starnes! Oops! My bad. =(
