In this episode we continue our celebration of the 40th Anniversary of 1982s Blade Runner with part 2 of our discussion on the Blade Runner franchise. Today we’re going to talk about the 3 2049 prequel shorts Blade Runner Black Out 2022, Blade Runner 2036: Nexus Dawn and Blade Runner 2048: Nowhere to Run. And of course Blade Runner 2049 itself and the 13 episode Japanese-American anime CGI series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

In this first of a two part episode Mike and Steve talk about the 1982 cyberpunk/noir classic Blade Runner in celebration of the original film's 40th anniversary. We talk about the making of Blade Runner, the many versions of the film (including missing and added scenes) and of course our fan theories about the story itself and all it implies. But we didn't stop there. We also talked about the 1997 Blade Runner video game.

There are a lot of differences between the Thor most people know from the comics and MCU films and the mythological figure from Norse mythology. We talk about those differences as well as Thor's history in Marvel Comics and the 2011 Thor Film.

On today's Indie Comics Creator Spotlight Mike and Steve talk with Robert Smothers III about founding Red22 Studios and his 56 page graphic novel called Broken Planet that he wrote, did the art and lettering for and everything. We talk about his creative process and what his inspirations are.

You may not be aware of this but Omen Comics declared June 22nd "Karate Kid Day" on social media back in 2020 in honor of the release of the first film back in 1984. Like most franchises that have a day we celebrate by watching the Karate Kid trilogy and Cobra Kai and talk about it with a friend and mutual fan - in this case, ORP hosts Michael Nunneley and Steve Sellers. We are a few days late with this due to our release schedule, but we celebrated the heck out of the Karate Kid franchise and even dig into the deeper, more spiritual and philosophical side of both the films and martial arts.
