Miriam Lieberman_ In Our Imagination

Miriam Lieberman_ In Our Imagination

Miriam caught up with Steph Papas on OneSpaceLove, sharing about her journey, and how she came to birth her latest album and new release "Infinite We Are " a celebration of our own imagination.

“A thing of intoxicating beauty.” Rhythms magazine

(Miriam) has a knack for giving her songs a feeling of significance, even while they float with effervescent pop pleasure.“ The Music

“Her songs are beautifully melodic, richly textured but can have pointed themes…. Simply brilliant" 4.5  stars, Jeff Glorfeld, The Age

African influences blend seamlessly with blues-infused melodies and soaring vocal harmonies in the music by Sydney singer song-writer Miriam Lieberman. Her albums are soulful collections of stories, beautifully told through strings, African kora and Lieberman’s unmistakable voice. The stories speak of Lieberman’s musical journey, which has taken her from Guinea and Mali, where she studied the kora – a west-African harp with a beautiful, evocative tone – to central India, Indonesia, Mexico and South America. These places have left an imprint on Lieberman’s musical style as well as a catchiness and contemporary tone that is entirely her own.

The Miriam Lieberman Trio is a combination of players, adding luscious vocal harmonies and soaring string arrangements. Regular members of the trio are Lara Goodridge (Baby et Lulu, FourPlay) on violin and harmonies, Susie Bishop (an opera singer and member of Chaika and guest for other bands) also on violin and harmonies, Carl St Jacques (Miami Symphony) on viola. Earliest member of the trio with Miriam was Kate Adams on cello.

Miriam is a multiple awardee of grants such as the John Butler Seed grant, Australia Council, Create NSW, APRA, Music NSW and the Australian Songwriters Association Award. She has regularaly featured at festivals around Australia including Woodford, The National Folk Festival (as the NSW showcase act), Fairbridge (WA), Yungaburra Folk Festival (QLD), Shir Madness, Blue Mountains Music Festival, Four Winds Festival, The Multicultual Festival (Canberra), Paramasala (Parramatta), Cygnet (TAS), Denmark Festival Of Voices (WA) and many more. Internationally, she has featured at The Guinean Jazz Festival, Hakodate World Music Festival (Japan), Voix des Femmes (Mali) and The Bali Spirit Festival.

“Something of a renaissance woman ……Somehow she achieves the almost impossible in blending patterned western-ed pop writing with the earthy mystique of African rhythms and freaky world instruments.” - Sydney City News

Garrett Kato - Music Is A Beautiful Bookmark

Garrett Kato - Music Is A Beautiful Bookmark

Garrett went from busking and living out of a backpack to tallying over 63 million worldwide streams and performing sold-out shows alongside Damien Rice and Ziggy Alberts.

Garrett has over a million monthly listeners on Spotify, following the release of his sophomore album “hemispheres” in December 2020 and his 2021 offerings, singles “Be” and “Firestarter”. He landed a sync in Hollywood blockbuster ‘Bad Moms’ and his single ‘Take It Slowly’ has over 14 million Spotify streams. He hasearned the endorsement of triple j, Rolling Stone and Beatroute Magazine.

At the same time, he has cemented himself as an in-demand, platinum-award winning producer. triple j has dubbed him as the “Producer and musician behind some of the most prominent sounds coming out the Byron Bay's booming buskers scene”.

Garrett produced Ziggy Albert’s EP “Four Feet in the Forest” and album “Laps Around the Sun” (both certified Platinum in Australia) and has also worked with Julia Stone, Pete Murray, Tones and I, Kyle Lionhart, Riley Pearce, Pierce Brothers, Jack Botts and more.

Garrett will play Byron Bay Bluesfest in March and plans to tour Europe/UK with Pierce Brothers.

“I most definitely look at these songs as paintings,” he affirms. “It’s totally a mad scientist situation. I blend sounds together in order to aesthetically serve the song. The writing, engineering, and producing are all married. I’ll tinker with a track for two months. I look at it, walk away, and come back as if I were leaving a painting on a canvas. The chords, melodies, and moods are like images to me. I don’t use instruments for genre, but rather for frequencies, tones, and cadences. Getting the chance to see different parts of the world and hear so many stories inspired some of the insights and colours I wanted to use.”

Aine Tyrrell - Born To Do This

Aine Tyrrell - Born To Do This

Áine Tyrrell adds her voice to the cry of women everywhere, declaring “We Were Born To Do This!”

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Irish singer-songwriter, Áine Tyrrell, based in Australia, releases a new film clip for her feminist anthem, Born To Do This.

Written and recorded in Ireland in 2018 for the Return To The Sea album, a project Áine states is all about not being afraid to be in her own skin and reconnecting with who she is and where she comes from; this release couldn’t come at a more opportune time.

Women all over the world are taking steps to stand in their power and speak their truths. In the last few weeks in Australia look no further than Parliament House. In Ireland, the female experiences are still being silenced, with ongoing decisions by church and state like the recent sealing of documents that give testimony to these misogynistic structures.

“We are speaking up now, but our power structures are inherently misogynistic and continue to silence us. This song is our battle cry, it comes deeply from our mothers and grandmothers who did not have the freedom to speak their truth. We WERE born to do this and we will hold all those to account that stand in the way of truth and equality”

Inspired by conversations with both men and women about the patterns of the patriarchy that define us in gendered roles that are hard to shake and dangerous and detrimental to us all; Áine was searching for a way for us to remember who we were, before the patriarchy told us who they wanted us to be. “The words “You Were Born To Do This” fell out of my mouth whilst playing guitar and became the bones of the anthem call that this song is”.

Born To Do This has always been inextricably linked to Irish women for Áine. The final recording session of the album was held just after she was invited to sing at an event in Melbourne, raising funds and awareness for Repealing the 8th Amendment in Ireland, a cry for Irish women to finally have autonomy over their reproductive rights after decades of archaic and dangerous legislation. This fundraising event happened on the same weekend Áine, a survivor of domestic violence, was reporting to the police the 78th breaches of an intervention order by her perpetrator.

“The FUCK YOU came out of me directly from THOSE experiences and I feel as female artists there is a side of the truth about what we put up with that is never out there in public... I gave myself permission to say it loudly, proudly and in my power. So often as women and female singers we are told to be quieter, prettier, slimmer, and more palatable, but this chorus is the antithesis of that”.

Sunny Smith_ Musing of the Future

Sunny Smith_ Musing of the Future

Sunny Smith is the solo project of Sydney-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chris Smithson (The Kava Kings, Caravana Sun). Chris released his debut track, Ziggy, under the moniker in November 2020 with a five-track EP slated for release in early 2021.

A debut eight years in the making, Chris first knew music was for him when he skipped out on a year 10 trial exam to go on tour with his band, The Kava Kings and hasn’t looked back from massive international festival stages across Germany to a disorganised show at a public pool in Italy.

Chris isn’t new to the scene with three European tours under his belt with The Kava Kings and Caravana Sun supporting follow big acts, The Skatalites (Jamaica) and Ozomatli (USA) . As well as wearing a track around Australia having supported John Butler, Lime Cordiale, Birds of Tokyo, Ocean Alley and The Beautiful Girls.

Inspired by Tame Impala, Gorillaz and Neil Young with a slice of Andy Shauf, Blake Mills, Ethan Gruska and Whitney thrown in the mix inspired Chris to create the sound that is Sunny Smith.

The dreamy three minute thirty track lives up to the Sunny Smith name transporting you to beachside scenes with musing of the future. Ziggy explores the feeling of anemoia, that nostalgic feeling for a time you’ve never known, and is inspired by the many stages of life, the different goals we all aspire to big and small culminating at that moment where you crossover from person to parent.

Written during a self-described songwriting drought, Ziggy was the muse to allow Sunny Smith to pour his heart into “the most honest writing I’ve ever done”. This underpinned honesty coupled with inspiration from the likes of Andy Shauf, Blake Mills and The Police create a dreamy track perfectly timed for you to walk to and create your own sense of anemoia.

Sunny Smith jumped into the studio with Sydney drummer and producer legend, Declan Kelly (Bernard Fanning, Katie Noonan, Kasey Chambers) to bring Ziggy to life. “The morning we started on Ziggy, Declan thought we should lay down a guide drum track to create a good foundation for the song. We both loved that take so much we kept it, and the song grew from that point on. The beat doesn't change for the whole song. It's just so nice when something unplanned becomes such an integral part of a song.” Chris Smithson, SunnySmith.

Akova - Travel From Your Head To Your Heart

Akova - Travel From Your Head To Your Heart

Dubbed the ‘Rhythm King’ Akova is an artist you never saw coming.  This Triplej Unearthed genre defying multi-instrumentalist is a compelling storyteller.

Music is more than a way of life for Akova it is the air he breathes as it pumps through his veins. He is unafraid to break open his heart and share with you his journey of the soul.

“Music has the ability to do so much more than entertain. I feel that I am more than a musician right now. I’ve played music my whole life, but that’s not all that I am anymore. I have been on a challenging sometimes epic journey learning to let go of the attachment of thinking with my head to feeling with my heart. We all think with our heads but its our heart that has all the answers. They say it’s the longest journey you will ever take, and yet you only travel around 18 inches. My goal is to empower you and to inspire you to be the best you that you can be through my personal experiences. My lyrics are conscious yet not overwhelming as I still have a bit of the rocker from West Sydney in me. I am enjoying music more than I ever have as I have found myself and my purpose.” – Akova

“I put AKoVA’s album on and realised I had my album of the year. That’s were my love affair for his music began. Listening to AKoVA’s music is like sitting with a spiritual guide. The world needs to hear his music.” Therase – Noosa FM AUS

Steph Talks with Kate Williams - The Guru Within

Steph Talks with Kate Williams - The Guru Within

Steph talks to Kate William's about connecting to the guru within you. In these current times, it is especially important to create space in our lives to go within and be still.

We've just received the news that there's an extension on the, the lockdown and that's having a lot of effect on a lot of people in it,  very real effects and there's very real things going on for a lot of people and a lot of people are finding their circumstances quite difficult to cope with so I guess about, you know for me it's been using this time adequately is a time of reflection I guess and going inward like what is it, I always ask myself what is it that the universe, asking of me right now, like, this is what it is. I can't change it I can't make, it not be here. So, you know, what is the universe, asking of me and it's asking me to be still. And it's asking me to have time alone, and it's asking me to be quiet. And so, In that, I'm going into myself even deeper I've extended my meditation practice to longer periods of time, and it's been really quite profound and amazing experience for me, and the sense of connection, I have with the greater universe the cosmos has been expanded and deepened, and you know my awareness of who I am and you know the construct of time and reality and I don't know asking those big questions about what is reality and who am I, yeah. All of that always surfaces up.

Kate and I share how we create space to connect to the guru within us and in this space we are able to find our centre and let the miracles of grace unfold.

Aine Tyrrell_We Call You Now Conversation

Aine Tyrrell_We Call You Now Conversation

Australia’s favourite adopted Irish sister, Áine Tyrrell is a modern day Pirate Queen, except instead of ships, she captures audiences, one heart at a time.

After living in Australia for a decade, Irish born singer-songwriter Áine Tyrrell has carved a unique musical path melding her own Irish roots from the ancient limestone rocks of Country Clare with her respect of the red dirt roads of 60,000 years of Indigenous culture in Australia.
It is this longstanding connection between the Irish story and the experience of Indigenous Australia in regards to colonialism that Tyrrell calls on in her powerful, gut wrenching call to arms ‘We Call You Now’.

The 7 minute ‘cultural smackdown’ is a departure in style and tone for Áine, who gathers force in a wildly emotive spoken word rant that is reminiscent of the musical poetry of rock greats like Patti Smith.

The song came after her invitation by the Bunyarra Culture Collective to be part of the Black Lives Matter protest in June in Byron Bay. After sitting deeply with some people’s reactions that claim Irish heritage, Áine penned a 7 minute history lesson and invited The Bunyarra Culture Collective to join in on the track.

"We Call You Now" It’s not a song. It’s not a rap. It’s not spoken word but it is all those things woven together. Produced by Boundy Sound.

"James Boundy had such an honour and respect for the spirit and culture within each word and contribution. So amazing to watch an engineer and producer like Boundy do his thing just quietly painting around the intentions of a song and bringing the best out." Aine Tyrrell

Track features Dhinawandreaming on the Yiddaki and the amazing vocals and stunning spirit of Emily Wurramara

Rayah_CallingAllTheSpiritSoldiers

Rayah_CallingAllTheSpiritSoldiers

Rachelle Jeanty and Rosie Henshaw Rayah are two Internationally acclaimed musicians, yoginis and inner peace advocates, who share sacred songs from the soul, chanting for the heart and meditation as a means of awakening the divine potential in all of us. Together they are RAYAH (the origin of this name comes from a Hebrew word meaning “friend of God”).

Prolific singer/percussionist Rachelle hails from Haiti via Montreal, now based in Europe as a performer, Gospel workshop leader, meditation teacher and public speaker. After years in the glamour world of music as a backing vocalist for Celine Dion, Rachelle chose a deeper path, which led to her spiritual awakening. Since then, her heart’s mission became to use her soulful presence and blessed gifts to serve the Divine

A childhood spent meditating at the foothills of the Himalayas in India brought multi-instrumentalist/singer Rosie a great sense of spiritual awareness and musicality. Between India, the shores of Australia and now currently Amsterdam, Rosie has found true joy in expressing her heart through performing sitar, guitar, voice and devotional songwriting – with an extensive music career in Australia performing with Shanti Fire, Old Man River, Lulu & Mischka and Ngaiire, to name a few.

The duo met by the riverside in Cabella Italy at a meditation retreat, and instantly felt swept up in the joy of devotion and commitment to serving the higher purpose. Their energies and music combine to offer nourishment to the heart and sweetness to the soul.

In addition to the musical offering of their heart & soul songs, RAYAH wish to share with you the gift of Kundalini awakening through meditation and affirmations.

Latest release "This place your soul" produced by Danielle Caruana (Mama Kin)

To capture Valentina Brave's voice and music is to hitch a ride in Persephone's Ute, having burned across the darkest night of the soul, picked up the Virgin Mary herself to ride shotgun, with Betty Davis on the bonnet.

Her vintage rock, murder ballads and soul anthems come directly from the underworld. These are transformative songs that will spit you out the other side of a journey that may begin in suffering, but ends in a melodic freedom. Brave makes vulnerability her ally, a powerful medicine in these times.

An artist worth witnessing, Brave shared the stage with global luminaries Michael Franti, Jackson Browne and Juanes at Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival when Franti invited her to perform for his main stage closing set. With overwhelming response, it was a landmark moment in the evolution of powerhouse vocalist, improviser and world class artist.

Her Debut EP Wildflower, produced by aria nominated musician Danielle Caruana (Mama Kin), as the title suggests, is indicative of what grows out of human heartache. Wildflowers grow in graveyards, sprung from grief, their beauty bleeding unapologetically into the earth. Like these plants, Brave is a resilient feminine force.

Boundy is someone who is definitely being the change he wants to see, and doing what he loves, and assisting others with the creative process of doing what they love.

"Be the change that you want in the world, the covid situation has given us time to reflect on everything about our lives like that and there are so many ways, and so as long as you're clear on what your own personal belief systems is and what is really actually important to you at your core, there are so many things you can do, little things, little elements in everything you do everyday  that can be specifically tuned towards potentially contributing in benefit in some way."

Boundy shares many experiences behind the scenes of an audio engineer and as a student and teacher of sound, he shares that having empathy, knowing and valuing your time and worth, and having patience are key qualities to sustain a healthy career as a sound engineer both on the road and in the studio.

I asked Boundy how we can best support him moving forward and he answered

"By supporting the musicians that mean something to you and you feel passionate about,  it gives me an environment to still work in." James Boundy

"It’s one thing to just stop physically but all of the planning and everything that usually comes along with that all disappeared as well, so it was actually literally sitting still for the first time in as long as I can remember, its an intimidating change when its very different to what you are used to, I am used to not being in the same place for a long period of time, like lots of transport, like lots of planes and buses and all that sort of stuff. The work side of things is one thing but it was also a great upheaval of the entire lifestyle its the most time Ive been home in like forever" James Boundy

Ash Grunwald Adapting to the new ways

Adapting to the new ways

"One thing I have seen in the review of the Lockdown period and I can look back on the social media posts I was posting at the terrible times is I was trying to focus on the things you can work on, and in this brief time don't we know what the future holds but up until this point I have even seen that even in my external reality that left me open to see the opportunities.
So its like, work on the inner first and get yourself dealing with the situation well, and then from their don't worry about what your going to come up with, you'll see if your tuned right, you'll see the opportunities and just react to them and you can start to create from there." Ash Grunwald

Ash Grunwald is an Australian blues musician. He has released nine studio albums and has received five nominations for ARIA Music Awards. He is an author, and a husband and father. Ash is definitely someone following his path doing what he loves. Music was not the career path he set off on, and Ash shares how the road began to turn towards the music.

He and his wife Danni Carr are the founders of Earth Bottles. In 2014 Danni sought to find new merchandise for her high-profile hubby; something practical for the planet as well as reflective of Ash’s earthy nature. As a result Earth Bottles was created.

Ash and I caught up over Zoom during this time of isolation and he shares how he was flying over to Spain when the news broke of COVID-19 and how he was on tour with his musicians and how they pushed as hard as they could touring night after night before the emergency was declared and they he had to book flights back home for them all. When he arrived home the news was announced that Blues Fest was cancelled and it was illegal to tour for the next 6 months. At the peak of his touring it all came to a stand still, and he was faced the prospect of loosing his family home, and face cancelling all his plans for the tour that were in place for 2020.

What I love is how Ash faced his crisis head on and made a choice in that moment to adapt and find a new way, using the skills and knowledge he has inside him and to collaborate with the skills of others around him.

He shares how he is adapting now to the new norm, and how he is live streaming his gigs and what that experience has been like.

Kawika and I caught up in 2018 with such a beautiful sharing, and we sat down and began the interview and all time and space was lost as we chatted into the sunset and continued the interview at sunrise. You can capture these episodes on Onespacelove You tube.

It is so good to have him on Onespacelove Podcast and talk about these current times.

"This is the one of the most important time for people to really begin to envision, where they want to go and what they want to do, this is in almost every cultural context, Ill speak from the cultural context I stem from personally, this is one of those moments where people get to absolutely to go in,  figure out whats working for them and what isn't working for them and then move in the direction that their called to move and to completely capture this vision of themselves, their family dynamics, their history their past experiences, clear out what ever is not good in that image of who you are right now,  and then totally project out to where you want to go, what you want to be doing . Paul George - Storytelling, Flamenco Guitar, Creative process

Storytelling, Flamenco Guitar, Creative process

I really enjoyed catching up with Paul George. Paul is no stranger to the Onespace community, having hosted Tijuana Cartel, at Onespace HQ Bondi with Kallidad opening the event. Paul was also part of the incredible line up in Wild Marmalade at “Earth Beats” Onespace event at The Sydney Opera House.

Paul shares how he has been playing guitar since he was 11 years old, and when he was a teen he would play it every night and fall asleep with his guitar, he always knew he wanted to be a musician. He shares many of the different jobs he held, and some of them may surprise you, but they all guided him back to the path he was set to take..

Paul grew up in the Gold Coast and met Carey O’Sullivan, while at school and their friendship took them onto the path of creating, learning, and co-producing music and they went on to perform live and then tour the world.

It was so nice to learn about Paul’s past and how he came to come to where he is today, doing what he loves and continuing to play music and learn and grow.

“Tijuana Cartel serves up a tasty mix of world music and club beats. These Gold-Coast-based our addicts are renowned for their live shows and tight production.” triple j Unearthed

How you can support Tijuana Cartel to continue doing what they love, and bringing us new music, especially during these unknown times, Donate to Patreon account, follow them on social media, join a live event.

Bobby Alu Spreading the good vibes

Bobby Alu Spreading the good vibes

Byron Bay singer, ukulele strummer, and drummer Bobby Alu

"It's easy to be overwhelmed, I found myself getting overwhelmed in my decision-making process, I had so much different thoughts of all the scenario that could happen, so many scenarios you could dream up, infinite amounts of scenarios, for you staying in the situation, what might happen today, what might be happening, what is he thinking what is she thinking,  it becomes a crowd in your head of all this stuff that's made up... it's amazing how much it becomes on piled up on top of each other.

What brings me peace at times, is being insignificant. What I love about touring is getting off the bus, and there is crowds of people, and no one knows who I am, and I don't know who any of these people are.

I find that really comforting, I am an insignificant speck of dust in the universe, just a second in a massive long sequence of events, get over it, that's the heart of the song. It's about finding that pathway into what moves you and being cool, and owning it, its not an easy path but its a rewarding one." Bobby Alu

It was so nice to catch up with Charles Wall aka Bobby Alu. We met when Bobby was touring with OKA, and OneSpace hosted its first event with them at Petersham Town Hall, Sydney with Sacred Earth Music. We went on to host solo shows with Bobby Alu and The Palm Royale.

Bobby has been surrounded by music since a young age, music is not something he had to learn how to play an instrument, how to read music, from an early age he was always having to listen and play his part in the music.

Growing up on the Gold Coast, he went in search of the community and over the years he found it, in his 20's he was playing with about 12 different bands, Kooi, Cool Calm Collective, Georgia Potter, Saritah, Tijuana Cartel, OKA.

Sharing a well-nurtured and lengthy musical connection with producer and multi-instrumentalist tour buddy Paulie Bromley (The Beautiful Girls, george), Alu’s recorded and live presence has been boosted from a range of creative alliances.

Bobby shares how he asked for something more challenging to his musical skills, and he met Xavier Rudd while playing a gig with OKA in Lismore, and he then went on to dedicate himself and his world-class percussion skills to touring internationally with Xavier Rudd for five years of his path. He went straight onto the tour bus and he shares this experience and how it was challenging and exciting.

He shares how he had to make a difficult decision to end this path and shift the direction back to his musical creation and slow down.

This talk is a beautiful reminder to be careful what you ask for as it may just show up and when it does you have the opportunity to be taken out of your comfort zone, and being asked to be brave and follow that inner calling, and to not be afraid to shift directions.

Bobby's latest release is "FLOW" during this episode we talk about the track "DUST" you can support Bobby and download this track, and album. I have this album on rotation on my playlists, every track has so much depth to it and the lyrics sink into your subconscious.

"when you think that you have had enough, you want to hold onto love.." Dust

Keep the music alive and support the artists doing what they love!

Jessica Chapnik Kahn - Welcome home, identity and motherhood

Jessica Chapnik Kahn - Welcome home, identity and motherhood

Jessica is a singer-songwriter, actress, mother, and author.  Her latest book is called Madre.

I really enjoyed catching up with Jessica and having this open honest chat with her, about motherhood, the music industry, growing up as an immigrant, and love, devotion, and life. Jessy took me on a journey into her life and how it all unfolded. She is a beautiful soul and everything she does her soul shines through.

Jessica Chapnik Kahn shares how she immigrated to Australia as a child from Argentina. Growing up raised by Jewish Polish Catholic Italian Argentinian parents. How motherhood was like a welcoming home to this land in Australia.

How she struggled with belonging and identity and how this shaped her driving force and the fire that ignited her to stay on her creative path and reach her goals to find her place.

She used to play in the bands of Sarah Blasko, Old Man River, and Ben Lee. She acts. Jessica shares how meeting Ben Lee reconnected her back to the music.

She shares of her experience meeting her beloved Nadav Kahn, and how it felt like destiny when they first met, and shares about motherhood and finding space to create.

Song featured "She is the Sun" Live version with Jessica Chapnik Kahn and Nadav Kahn.

Poem Featured "The Loneliness is deep"

"Madre"  available now

Jessica Chapnik Kahn did not intend to write a book in the first weeks and months of giving birth to her son. But it was in this time, immersed in an exquisite difficult bliss, that she found herself inadvertently drawing his face and scribbling down her new experiences without restraint. It was a quiet attempt to grasp the ungraspable.

After giving birth to her son, Jess has release Madre a collection of poetry from her experience with motherhood. I highly recommend this beautiful divine book to our listeners, you can purchase it online https://www.mother-courage.com/madre

MADRE is a very personal exploration of the mysterious unfolding of becoming a mother. This raw collection of poems and drawings honors the mystical process of creation, transformation, and expansion. They are never far from the grief inherent in joy, as well as the inseparable nature of birth and death.

Lou is definitely a woman in the Australian Music Industry who is great at getting shit done, she is a dynamic force who has shown how it is to be brave to pave her own way in the music industry and get the job done, and a woman who I admire greatly.

Dubarray - Feels like Heaven

Dubarray - Feels like Heaven

Brett Gadenne from Dubarray - Feels like Heaven

Today's show is "Feels Like Heaven" after the new single which is available now. Brett shares how this song was birthed out of an experience they had with rebirthing and that feeling of oneness and bliss they felt, which feels like heaven.

It was so nice to take time to speak to Brett about how he came into union with Kate and how they began the journey and Dubarray unfolded, and how they continue to integrate their lifestyle and wellbeing through their music.

Dubarray describes their music as conscious world/electro/dub music. Combining a fusion of house, trance, drum & bass, trip-hop and dub reggae grooves Dubarray incorporates live instrumentation such as soulful euphoric vocals, powerful guitar riffs and expressive floating piano melodies all intertwined with tribal percussion rhythms and ambient electro undertones. Inspired by the likes of St Germain, Thievery Corporation, Groove Armada & Portishead. Dubarray released their debut album 'Ebb & Flow' in June 2012 and have toured Europe & Australia non stop since. Dubarray's smooth fresh sound is an experience of emotion and uplifting energy to stimulating the sublime in your mind.

During this time of isolation especially while touring is at a standstill, please support the artists and download their music, follow them on social media and stay connected.
