Professor Stephen Vladeck of the University of Texas School of Law and the Honorable Judge Nicholas Chu talk about their experiences on the topic of the practice of law in the remote era. Professor Vladeck is nationally recognized for his expertise on the topics of federal courts, constitutional law, national security law, and military justice. He has argued remotely for both the Texas Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Chu is the Justice of the Peace for the Precinct 5 in Travis County. Prior to taking the bench, he served as an assistant district attorney for the Travis County District Attorney’s office. Recently, he held the nation’s first criminal trial with a remote jury.
