On this week’s episode, I am in conversation with Gisele Craswell, an Occupational Therapist based in Canada about the use of sensory approaches in prison environment. We discuss the sensory experiences of people in prison and the possible impact on functioning. We also discuss what the evidence says about sensory interventions and mental health, the challenges in providing sensory interventions in prisons and Gisele provides advice for OTs based in prison or forensic units who want to develop a sensory pathway. Briana currently lives and works as an Occupational Therapist in Botswana at Meribah OT solutions. She is very passionate about connecting, collaborating, educating and advocating for families within the community. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life of ALL my clients. Briana hopes to spread disability awareness and advocate for individuals with disabilities!
