#53 Tim Gansrow Pt. 2
A retired NYPD/FBI Task Force Supervisor, Sergeant Timothy Gansrow was a Medal for Valor recipient and served with distinction during a twenty-year career that took him from a patrolman in Midtown Manhattan to a leader protecting the City from murderers, cartels, the mob, and terrorists. As a 9/11 first responder, he spent months at Ground Zero, where he contracted cancer, lost his partner, but solidified eternal bonds with his colleagues and the New York City community. Serving your fellow man is one of the noblest ways to find life’s fulfillment. Those who choose a path in service to others can obtain their goals through a myriad of career paths. This is especially true for Timothy Gansrow, who combined his passion in law enforcement and his love of teaching baseball. In his youth, he escaped his abusive upbringing and constant uprooting by channeling his energies into his love of athletics and his burning desire to protect those he felt couldn't protect themselves. His passion for baseball earned him an athletic scholarship where he excelled as a player. He left college after his junior year to chase his life long dream of becoming a major league baseball player. When his size and skill set had taken him as a far as he could go and his time as a player had come to an end, he pursued his other life long dream of becoming a New York City Police Officer. Throughout the entirety of his law enforcement career, whether tracking down some of the regions most hardened criminals along with the countless hours spent refining his craft in private security to building his own security firms, he never strayed far from his love of “The Game”. Whether coaching in college or on the streets of the city where he served his community, he could invariably be found mentoring young athletes in the game he loved.  Tim so desperately wanted to share his love of the game with others in hopes that they might have the aspiration to become a better stronger version of their selves. Tim lives in Western North Carolina with his loving and ever supportive wife Tracy of nearly thirty years. Tracy is an accomplished artist and her work can be found throughout entirety of the east coast. Tim and Tracy have three children. Their eldest, Connor, is a 2017 USMA West Point Graduate and is currently a 1st Lieutenant in the Army. He was most recently the recipient of the U.S. Army Ranger School’s Honor Grad. Their son Dylan is a 2018 Academic All-American and is currently a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and pursuing a degree in accounting. Their daughter Kaitlyn is in her sophomore year in Chapel Hill an is actively pursuing her goal of becoming a Neo-natal nurse so that she too, can live a life in service to others.

#27 Forensics 4 Free (Part 2) with John Paolucci
John Paolucci completed a diverse and groundbreaking career in the NYPD, spending his final eight (8) years as a supervisor in the Forensic Investigations Division. Four (4) of those years were spent as a Crime Scene Unit supervisor where he was responsible for responding to crime scenes to coordinate and assist in the identification, collection and documentation of all types of forensic evidence. He worked on many high profile cases and generated written synopses or ‘recaps’ that would be presented to executive level managers and often used to disseminate information to the media. From the Crime Scene Unit, he was selected to be the first ever commanding officer of a new unit called the OCME Liaison Unit.  In this position, he would vet all DNA evidence submitted for analysis in the City of New York and was designated as the “One Voice” for the NYPD when outside agencies had any questions about forensic evidence either in the NYPD laboratory or at the Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) for DNA analysis. His efforts drastically reduced DNA analysis turn-around times in New York City, and as a result he was awarded the Unit Citation by the Mayor and Police Commissioner in 2010.  He was also promoted to Detective Sergeant in 2010. John Paolucci reviewed thousands of cases, often examining photos to determine if the forensic evidence that was collected would benefit from analyses other than those requested by the investigators.  He worked with OCME to develop new protocols for documenting DNA evidence, and the entire NYPD’s forensic evidence collection practices were totally revamped based largely on laboratory analysis results that were collated and interpreted by Mr. Paolucci.  In this capacity he trained thousands of NYPD and other federal and local agencies on the probative value of forensic evidence, documenting forensic evidence, and collecting DNA exemplars from suspects. In retirement, John formed Forensics 4 Real Inc. to impart his knowledge and understanding of forensic evidence and crime scene investigations to students of forensics as well as law enforcement first responders and investigators by providing a true to life perspective on how evidence is identified and handled in the field as well as in the laboratory. He also works as an expert witness and has worked on homicide investigations in the states of Kentucky, Texas, South Carolina as well as his native New York State.  John was also hired to travel to Paraguay to exhume a body to collect DNA evidence as part of an international insurance fraud investigation.  Despite interference from the government that almost resulted in his arrest, John was able to conclude that the body buried in Paraguay was not the insured, saving the insurance company over $3 million. #17: Dan Bibb - A Few Good Men (Part 2)
On Part 2 of our interview with Dan Bibb, he talks about choosing Justice over victory in the fabled Palladium homicide case. Dan Bibb began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office in 1982 under legendary District Attorney, Robert M. Morgenthau.  During his career at the DA’s Office Dan investigated and tried some of that Office’s most high profile matters, including criminal activity ranging from commercial fraud to homicide.  In addition, while at the DA’s Office Dan was personally responsible for the development of new evidence in the so-called Palladium homicide that led to the exoneration of the two people convicted of the crime and the prosecution of the real perpetrators.  Dan led the investigation and prosecution of a precedent setting homicide case in which a doctor murdered his wife and disposed of the body.  Dan was appointed Senior Trial Counsel and as a result of his many of his high profile investigations, prosecutions and convictions received extensive media attention. When he retired from the DA’s Office, Dan was Unit Chief of the Cold Case Homicide Unit.  A number of the investigations and prosecutions Dan handled were the subjects of full length non-fiction books. Dan left the DA’s Office in 2006 after an illustrious 24 year career.  In February 2006, Dan joined the White Collar Criminal Defense and Internal Investigations Groups of an AmLaw 200 law firm concentrating exclusively on the defense of individuals and business entities charged with crimes or under investigation by federal, state or local law enforcement authorities in New York and New Jersey.  After spending two years at a big firm, Dan struck out on his own as a solo practitioner and continues to represent people and business entities involved in criminal investigations.  As a prosecutor and defense attorney Dan has tried over 120 criminal matters to verdict.  He is well respected by his colleagues in the defense bar, the bench and prosecutors’ offices.  If Dan cannot negotiate a disposition that is satisfactory to his clients, he has 31 years of experience and the skill and savvy to give his clients a fighting chance in the courtroom. https://www.danielbibblaw.com/
