Healing is a daily process and synonymous with everyone. God created us for one another so no one would be alone in this development. Please journey with me into my intimate stories of overcoming childhood sexual abuse, living in darkness for 20 years, caring for a parent with mental illness, coping with grief from losing loved ones, and standing in truth to my identity as a Black lesbian and strong faith-filled Christian woman. I’m on a mission to reach back and lead others to find healing with resilience, tenacity, and peace. All while restoring joy into the world, one city at a time.
This "Karen" privilege that somehow has appropriated itself in society is killing our generation. These seemingly clever but dumb tactics to box particular groups of people out of society are not working. Now we're back to overcoming triggers, traumas, and trials. But what I know about this generation is we have studied, fact-checked, and refuse to allow history to repeat itself on our watch!
Today, I'm using my platform to share my vulnerabilities, some recent journeys, and feelings about many things near and dear to my heart. But before we get into it, is anyone else wondering where Summer is? It's looking different outside every day. Our weather globally is quite unusual because global warming is real! I need to get some things off of my chest after taking a two-week vacation. I'm back and ready to have a conversation. Would you please join me?
Juneteenth is the oldest commemoration of ending slavery. Its origin came from Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, as the African American Emancipation Day. It is celebrated across the US and beyond. On this day, we gather with those we love, share prayer, have a picnic or feast, sing, dance, hear speeches, attend educational events or festivals, and dance. But, most importantly, we reflect and remember. Juneteenth is a celebration of achievement to be free from bondage and chains mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, economically, and geographically.
For the past six years, I have been silently walking in my faithfulness, trust, dependence, and boldness of who I am in Christ Jesus. However, I did not know that God set me up to build His Kingdom, especially for the LGBTQ community and ALL people. Our responsibility is to love like God loves us without question or thought; that’s it! Not love to understand but love because as undeserving as we all are, “Yet God loves us unconditionally when He created us." Many of us have to move beyond being comfortable and break chains and soul ties with wombed situations that impede and stunt our growth socially, spiritually, economically, individually, collectively, mentally, and emotionally. Once we break free from spiritual slavery and oppression of "modern-day Pharisee church folk," and what people think or say. There will be no progression. How are you committed to doing your part?
God's love is for all of His children-everyone everywhere! The "church" and "society" have to stop dictating who is deserving of receiving God's unconditional love! The institution of God's church was created by God to shepherd and heal the sick and poor, not preach hatred! I suffered in silence for many years and walked away from "the church" because "the church" told me that He did not love me because I was same-gender-loving. But God found me and told me how much He loves me and how valuable I am to the Kingdom! Man has modified the Holy Bible to allow hatred to a particular community of people, and I'm tired of it!
June is the month of celebration of Pride for the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) community. I will stand steadfast in my identity as who God created me to be as a same-gender-loving woman. I'm not hearing what anybody has to say about me because God's word has me covered! Therefore, I'm unapologetically shutting that untrue rhetoric down and boldly, "Changing The Narrative! for the LGBTQ community!" PERIODT!!!
Do you see the opportunity to move beyond a particular situation, obstacle, or circumstance in your life? What action steps are you taking to begin implementing the changes necessary to move beyond to the greater purpose in your life. Change requires movement and, movement involves activity. The two cannot stand alone but must work parallel to each other. Let's activate our boldness, increase our faith, release dead things, ask for help then; we're ready to move beyond.
Family, we have come to the end of Season 1! YAY! These past three months have moved fast!
I look forward to each of you continue on this journey with me as I keep on healing and living unapologetically!
To receive the things we want, desire, and even need, we must start making room. When we pursue what we are passionate about, we see it differently. There's labor and pain to endure when we set out in the making room what the things we set our minds to accomplish. Making room is not easy, but there's a non-transferable currency attached that will last a lifetime.

In life, we will face many challenges, obstacles, and setbacks. However, we have the control always to be a student of our lives and learning how to re-evaluate what's valuable. Also, discover how to be more gracious to yourself.
Happy Mother's Day to each of you!
Today, as we honor our Moms and every person in our lives who nurtured, raised, carried, and loved on us like a mother. I recognize that not everyone shares the same experiences. However, we can choose to recreate the moments we wanted to experience. In everything and all things, "choose love." Go out into the world and continue to create beautiful memories and moments. Be blessed and highly favored!
There are times when we have to learn to let a thing go to grow and excel in our lives. We all "go through" things, but it's time for us to change our trajectory of how we see our life and where we desire to be and learn to "grow through" it! Please journey with me as I tell you some things I incorporated into my life to allow God to pivot and position me for more incredible things and heal better.
“We all deserved to have a better life!” Modeling our lives as seed planters is possible by changing our trajectory and perspective to see it differently. Also, to fill our atmosphere with goodness so that when we overflow, we saturate others, creating more seed planters. Keep doing good, causing a residual effect.
Character is our distinctive morals and values that we have in our lives. We hold firm to them unapologetically and without wavering. What does your character reveal about you? Are you authentic to yourself? Are you evaluating your integrity daily?
We all are healing from something in our lives. The most important thing that we can do is show up for ourselves and be present in our healing, then we can go out into the world and help others heal. "Healing is a purpose, and it's possible."
Many of us battle daily with ourselves, especially with dead things. This is a new opportunity and season to finally rid ourselves of "said" things and resurrect our life, so we can get up and live again! Because just as "Jesus Got Up," you can too!
"Where’s The Love?" A powerful question with three words. So how are you choosing to love? The world needs a lot of love right now! God created us all and said we were good! Throughout our history, the plague of hate has divided us from one another. So, "Why Not Love?"
It’s crucial to “Save You First!” We all may have the innate ability to always want to save others first before ourselves. But honestly, how is that working out choosing others' needs and wants before your own.
