Overheard presents - Aged

Sharon, a care worker, has built a close relationship with Charlie, an elderly man with early onset dementia that she cares for.  While carrying out her daily duties in his home during lockdown, she overhears his conversations with his two sons, Brian and Sean.  Through a series of socially distant interactions between them, Sharon learns that Brian and Sean seem to be taking an increased interest in their father’s assets, particularly in an important key to a security deposit box.  Driven by her compassion for Charlie, Sharon makes a decision that may go beyond her duty of care.

Overheard presents - Self-Conscious Objectors in a Viennese Coffee Shop

Little do Daniella and Archibald know that the October Revolution is about to break out as they discuss society over cake in a Viennese coffee shop in 1848. Their conversation is overheard and misinterpreted by the waiting staff who are equally suspicious and paranoid amidst the propaganda and political differences of the times. Confusion reigns, as does cake.

Written by Vanessa Cutts who was also the assistant director

Directed by Dominic Stinton

Edited by Stephen Wess
