In this video I talk about The Devolution of the Southern Democrat into a poorly educated, emotion-driven, fascist ideology. America COULD have united his people, especially during the mid-20th Century, as the American social landscape was evolving, Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected and became one of the most divisive presidents in our history. What did Ike do that was SO divisive? He wasn't an extremist. Compared to today, of course, things might look different, but for the 1950's, Eisenhower's dedication to the two-party system, offering Democrats an ear in his administration, angered and incensed Republicans led by Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater.
