After tense discussions through their entire journey Northward, Strahd's most loyal chamberlain, Rahadin, arrives to escort the party to Castle Ravenloft for dinner. As they journey through familiar territory, they learn that some things have changed drastically as they draw closer and closer to the castle and to Strahd himself.

With their only magical ally, Galian, dead, and having been cornered by the demon Lathenda, SHUA takes a deal to work alongside this demon. The deal is SHUA will assist Lathenda in his chaos and he will share a possible means of escape the Abyss. But even Lathenda is aware that the group is not powerful enough to get out... yet.
