Today's episode is to explain a little about how PAFE is narrowing marketing efforts to speak directly to teachers and those in the education field.  Currently, teachers are experiencing a time of high stress in their worklives and need support from whomever is able to give.  

As a former schoolteacher, and current studio music teacher with 52 students weekly, not only do I know what it is that teachers go through, but I have the time and mental capacity to work with you on your struggles.  For example, the teacher in the classroom next door is struggling in "similar but different" ways too and you don't want to burden her with your stresses... you know what I mean here.

The "E" In PAFE stands for Exercise! 

What is the best way to exercise?  Comprehensive.  There are a number of components that should be included in how you exercise.  Exercise and fitness is NOT just cardio, or lifting weights.  Those are both very important, but are still missing some critical components.  These include balance and stability training, flexbility training and NEAT, which will be covered more in another episode. 

We start with defining what each of these critical componenets in a comprehensive fitness plan include.

3:25 Cardio!  We will talk a lot about how to get up and get those active minutes!

14:04 Strength training.  There's a lot going on with strength trainig in regards to methods, types, mediums and what can go wrong.  We examine those together and I explain how I'm able to best help you.

20:20 Balance training.  What is it?  Why is it important?  How to EASILY incorporate this in your workouts.

Episode 1: About Your Host

Episode 1: About Your Host

Welcome to the first episode of PAFE-Cast!  To start out, I'm getting my bio episode out of the way, so you can learn a little about me and where I'm coming from.  That way, we can get to the good stuff sooner!


I'm Kay, nickname for Karen.  I've been a studio music teacher since I was 15, and I hold a bachelor's and master's in music education.  I own a music store and studio, and I enjoy it a lot, but COVID impacted business in ways that I never saw coming.  

Overall, my passion is working with people, 1:1, to help them with long-term goals, like learning an instrument and playing songs that they have been dreaming about learning.

5:30- When the music business was shut down, I realized that maybe I was meant for something more than just teaching music lessons.  After all, people need their health more than music lessons, so I took the coursework needed to be a health coach with good credientials and I built PAFE. 

12:30 - A quick summary about what happened when I failed at keto. 

14:25- The realism of what it would be like to work with a health coach that isn't model thin.

They say business ownership becomes and addiction, and it has been really fun getting an online health and weight loss coaching business up and running.  Building a program that is going to help people change their lives was even more fun.  I hope you will be the next person to experience this!
