153. Is it Evangelization or Coercion?
What does true evangelization look like? Many of us (especially in America) have ill informed views about evangelization, how it is done, and what it is. In this episode, I seek to clear up some of the confusion about this topic and offer solutions. These solutions are not novel, but truly getting back to the roots of the Christian message and history.

140. Why Atheists Can Have Catholic Morals
Can an Atheist agree to a Catholic system of morality? In this episode, I argue "Yes! Why not?"
139. The Traditional Latin Mass vs. Novus Ordo (Where I Stand)
The Traditional Latin Mass currently in use is more accurately described as the "Roman Missal of 1962."
The Novus Ordo is more accurately described as the "Roman Missal of 1969."
138. Realism and Nominalism

137. Why Symbolism is Real
136. Tensions in the Liturgy Wars - Part II (The Conservative Side)
This is a continuation of our last episode on tensions in the liturgy wars; except this time i examine the tensions that I see in the conservative side of the conversation. Please know that my views expressed here are fluid and works in progress. Particularly, my claim that "the Novus Ordo breeds chaos" is not a hill I am willing to die on, and also needs to be understood in its context. It is a statement that sounds harsh, but the word "chaos" is used in a particular way, meaning that the Novus Ordo seems to err on the side of "de-rubricization" or "de-regulation." I view this as a flaw in the way that the Novus Ordo was constructed. I also view the fact that the Novus Ordo can be factually considered to have been "constructed by a committee" to be an unfortunate reality of history that is not in the Novus Ordo's favor.

135. Tensions in the Liturgy Wars -- Part I (The Traditionalist Side)
In this episode we discuss some of the tensions that I see in these discussions about the Liturgy. This first part mainly focuses upon the tensions that I view on the "Traditionalist" side of these debates.
The next episode (Part II) will focus mainly on the tensions that I view on the "Conservative" side.

134. Can the Entire Roman Rite be Abrogated? (The State of the Question -- Part II)
In this video, I discuss the question "Can the Entire Roman Rite (Itself) be Abrogated? For that matter, can the Byzantine, Coptic, Ambrosian, Dominican, etc. Rites by abrogated? This is an underlying premise that is assumed in the question "Can the TLM be abrogated?" It is a necessary question to be asked, and it's propositions need to be examined.
133. Can the Pope Abrogate the Traditional Latin Mass? (The State of the Question -- Part I)
I hope to do a "remake" of this episode when I am not in the car, so that the audio will be more pleasing.
132. Should we have Liturgy Wars?
Please SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel! It helps us so much to get this content to others!
This video is my initial one regarding the "liturgy wars." I am relatively new to these particular discussions, but am attempting to remedy some of the unnecessary conflict involved therein. I have been hesitant to make a video on this topic, lest it contribute to the disconcerting lack of communication I see. I am not a fan of most of the rebuttal videos circulating back-and-forth in this field, so this video is not a rebuttal to anyone. It is simply a plea from one lay Catholic to his brothers and sisters in Christ.
131. Are Jesus and Mary's Bodies in Heaven?
In this episode we discuss the metaphysical and physical question: Are Jesus and Mary's physical bodies (as they ascended or were assumed) in Heaven? By "Heaven" here, I mean that interim-state between when we die and when we are resurrected on the last day.
I give reference to Duns Scotus' and Bonaventure's answers to this question, as well as give some thoughts of my own.
130. Can Christians be Agnostic?
I apologize again for the background noise in this episode. My new commute to work has me taking the interstate, which greatly increases the amount of background noise.
This episode examines what aspects Christians can be agnostic (or say "I dont know") about.
I also take up some interesting questions regarding our physical bodies, corruptionism, the bodies of Jesus and Mary, etc.
129. Creationism vs. Evolution
I apologize for the particularly bad background noise in this episode. I tried my best to remove all the noise, but could only do so much.
In this episode I discuss Evolution and Creationism.
128. Love
On the Theological Virtue of Love
127. Hope
126. In the Car with Dogs (on the Nature of Animals)
This episode examines the question of Animal Natures. What is an animal? How are the beasts different from humans? Can animals feel pain? Do animals have self-awareness or self-consciousness? We discuss these questions and more.
If you are wondering about my claim that people could not eat meat before the great flood, and how God gave Noah and his descendants permission to eat meat after said flood, please see this bible passage:
Gen. 9:1-7
125. What is Faith?
What is Faith? This episode begins a mini-series of episodes on the Theological Virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love.
In this episode, we discuss the various definitions of "Faith" which are used in common culture, Holy Scripture, and the Church's teachings.
I want to thank Dr. Darrick Taylor with the "Controversies in Church History" podcast for alerting me to some housekeeping issues regarding this podcast.
In this episode, I also give an example about evidence for the Roman Papacy which is relative to the question of Faith.
124. Where to Find Bl. John Duns Scotus' Ordinatio
In this short episode, I give some resources for people interested in finding and reading Blessed John Duns Scotus' "Ordinatio."
123. Thoughts on Wading into Duns Scotus' Ordinatio
In this episode, I give my reflections on how it feels to begin reading through the Ordinatio of Blessed John Duns Scotus. I also give an overview of how I make audiobooks from text files, which aid me greatly in reading through material.
122. Scripture Wars, Apologetics, The Orthodox, and Protestants
In this episode, we continue the discussion from episode #121 on Scripture Wars and Apologetics, but attempt to give an overview of this topic as relates the three (3) main Christian groups: Catholics (Eastern and Western), Orthodox (Eastern and Oriental) and Protestants (Various).
121. Irenic Apologetics, Dr. Gavin Ortlund, & Scripture Wars
In this episode, I discuss some of my thoughts on apologetics (giving a defense for one's faith), and how to do this "irenically" (peacefully).
I also give some brief remarks regarding Dr. Gavin Ortlund. Gavin is a Baptist Minister who holds his doctorate in Historical Theology. He has had a presence on YouTube for quite awhile, often doing irenic apologetics applicable to inter-Christian dialogue (mainly between Protestants, Catholics, and Eastern Orthodox).
Additionally I give my thoughts on why inter-Christian dialogue is not usually productive when we only argue from the Holy Scriptures.
120. The Importance of Upholding Doctrine
In this episode, I am giving some reflections inspired by an amazing homily spoken by my bishop, Bishop Kevin Rhoades, on the importance of upholding doctrine.
119. Human Nature - The Importance of our Bodies
In this episode, we continue our discussion on human nature (see Ep. 118 for the previous part) by focusing particularly on our bodies. The Catholic Church takes a very robust view regarding the material nature of the human being, which I attempt to lay out in this episode.

118. What is Human Nature?
In this episode we discuss my view of human nature, and specifically the relationship between the soul and the body.
The council of Vienne defined that the soul is "the form of the body."
The 5th Lateran Council clarified the above definition and said that the soul is the form of the body, but that it is also "immortal."
117. Utopianism
In this episode, we discuss the theory/theories to create a perfect society, namely: Utopianism.
116. Social Issues - Transhumanism
In this episode, which is the last of our 'social issues' series, we discuss the topic of transhumanism.

115. Social Issues - Transgenderism
114. Social Issues - Sexuality and the Physical World
113. Social Issues - Homosexuality
In this episode we discuss the social issue of Homosexuality.
NOTE: While it is (strictly-speaking) not sinful for two persons of the same sex to live together, as long as they do not act out sexually with each other -- even if they had been in an erotic relationship previously -- it very well may be the "near occasion of sin." In which case, it would not be PRUDENT for the two persons to live under the same roof. "Lest the dog return to his vomit" (Proverbs 26:11). This situation would need to be one where consultation with one's pastor would be necessary. Again, strictly-speaking, it is not sinful for two persons of the same sex to live under one roof -- even if they had been in an erotic relationship in the past; however, it may not be a prudent thing for them to do and may be the near occasion of sin.
112.Social Issues - Contraceptives and Birth Control
111. Social Issues - Divorce and Remarriage (Part 2)
we discuss how the issues of contraception and abortion relate to this issue of divorce and remarriage.
We also discuss two of the most important aspects of a solid marriage (besides the love that binds them together): 1.) The children born of said loving union and 2.) the integrity of the marriage vows.
110. Social Issues - Divorce and Remarriage (Part 1)
This is the first of two episodes on divorce and remarriage in our social issues series. This subject is our first in the sub-topic of social issues regarding sexuality.
