Remember What Mom and Dad Said?
As we grow older, we become more independent and seek to figure things out on our own. Our teenage years are the years we know all the answers (at least we think). But in our adult lives, we learn that our adult parents were not so square after all!
May 8, 2021
He’s Able Beyond Our Understanding
We serve an amazing God with all the resources to provide for anything we could ever ask for! But that’s the key - that we ASK for. Believe it or not sometimes He’s just waiting for us to ask so that He can give!

How to Stay Out of the Fish’s Belly

May 3, 2021
Just Who Does This Belong To?
We “own” many things. We can show papers, receipts, deeds, titles and other documents of possession. But, who does it really belong to? It belongs to the Lord! Let’s see things as being on loan from the Lord and not ours to begin with!
May 2, 2021
He Spoke To Create, Suffered to Redeem

Turn on the Lights!
No one likes to be left in the dark. That goes for the literal darkness but I think it also goes for knowing and knowledge. We’d like to be in the know. When it comes to God’s word in God’s will, we need to turn on his light. That light? It’s the word of God.

One Track Mind...
Multitasking. Although that’s probably a good characteristic to have in some workplaces, it can be a distraction in the Christian walk. When we try to serve the desires of man and the world while trying to serve Christ, somebody will be slighted. When we doubt, we get our eyes on man and not the Lord. Focus in one direction and that’s Christ

Unlimited Supply
Community help is a great thing to have. Family and friends coming to the rescue. We should be thankful for all the blessing we have in those who are ready to help. But they are limited; God however, is ready to give all we need and can supply us with our needs according to his riches as we have necessity!

The Perfect Relationship
We all desire close and personal relationships. They take work. But no matter how hard we try, our relationships here will eventually cause disappointment. We are imperfect people. But, one day, and even now, we can and will have a perfect relationship with Christ!

Hello? Are You There?
The world is full of distractions that pull us away from the important things in life. We are all guilty of not paying attention. Even the disciple lost focus of Jesus being alive! We too need to regain our focus and get back on track with the Lord.

God Will Go Over Before You!
Sometimes the battle seems almost impossible to deal with! It seems that the wall is too tall to climb or the valley is too deep to go through. The nation of Israel faced many obstacles but they faced him with the God of the universe and he went before them time and time again to fight their battles and to do things that they could not accomplish without him! He will do the same for us today through the power of the Holy Ghost in the name of the blood of Jesus if we will just call on his name!

We Represent the King of Kings
We have been made ambassadors for Christ! Let’s say that again! We represent Christ - the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As Christians, we should strive to represent Him well and the world should see sometime special when they see us!

A Savior Who Knows
Our bodies seem to never find rest or relief from aches and pains. We look for a day when doctors and medicines will be unnecessary but for now, we live on in this world knowing we have a Savior who understands pain and suffering and one who will see us through each day. He could heal us if He so desires but for now, I believe He desires for us to lean on Him for our every need every day.

Having the Real Deal
People today need to see Christ shine forth in our lives. They need to see the real deal; not a form of God or a form of religion. They need to see truth love and true faith living out in our lives.

Receiving What We Ask For
Prayer. So widely talked about, preaches about, written about, read about and sang about. But are we really serious about prayer. Jesus spoke of asking, seeking and knocking and receiving, finding, and opening; promises of God that we haven’t tapped into. Why not?

When We Can’t Find Anyone Around, Look Up!
Loneliness affects everyone at some point. We look around and feel as if no cares or is willing to listen. But, we have One who is reliable! Always there! Never too busy! Ready to listen! Never distracted!

The Cross - Not the End But the Beginning
Jesus wasn’t quite finished. The plan of salvation was complete but the work would go on. The great commission to go would be given and the church would be built. The gospel message is born and we are go carry it forward.

A Story Worthy of Attention
News media continue to bombard us with story and story of what they feel is important to us and then we have to choose to listen to tune out. The story of Calvary is worthy of attention and we are the ones who need to be the ones telling it. Do not rely on the worldly news outlets to tell the truth of Calvary - we must share the story ourselves!

What Does “Thus Saith the Lord”?
Reading into the scripture has to be done with care. Where the scripture is silent, I believe we have to be sure not to add beyond what God has said. There is opportunity to infer but not to add to or take away. What is “thus saith the Lord?”

The Forgiving Heart of Jesus
Even on the cross, Jesus was about others. You and I, I doubt we would have even considered the life of others had we been the one placed on the cross in the manner that he wants. But Jesus, he was there because of us and was there for us and was there to forgive us.

Whose Will Are We Having to Be Done?
We have to be very careful sometimes about our will compared to the father’s will. Our will can be a very dangerous path. So let’s not forget to look to the father’s will instead of ours.

Agonizing Prayer....

Denial in Our Silence
Overcoming the fear of rejection or the oppression of the ways of this world are oftentimes quite difficult. The resistant that the satanic forces put up to the spoken Word of God and to the witness of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Christian is powerful. We have to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome and give the Gospel to those who need it. Silence is many times equal to denial.

In Remembrance of Him
The journey to the cross was one of the most amazing weeks recorded in history. The world wants to forget about it but we need to spend time remembering it. Let’s take time this week to give thought to the cross of Calvary.

The Best Place to Learn is with the Teacher
Everyone learns in different ways but in the end, we all require a teacher to learn something new. We have to have someone to Instruct us. When it comes to the Christian life, there’s no better teacher than the Holy Ghost who can teach us all things!

No Separation Anxiety with the Love of Christ
We all have had stress associated with being separated from someone we love. We miss them and we want them near us. Young children experience this when going off to school - but the parents may deal with it as well! But nothing can separate us from the love of Christ - nothing!

Lots of Instructions - We Might Need to Get Started
Many of us have trouble reading the instructions when it comes to assembling something we have purchased. Usually we have to make several mistakes before we have returned to the instruction manual. Let’s not make the same mistake with life. Open the instruction manual first.

Good Times and Troubled Times All Lead to The Lord

Who Are We Following After Today?
As kids, we had people we looked up to. We wanted to be like them or to follow in their footsteps. Having a role model is a good thing as long as the model is of good standing. Let’s set our standard as Jesus and lead people to follow after Him.

Humility Isn’t Easy to Come By
Experience - it usually takes a little of life’s journeys to teach us a few lessons and there’s nothing better than life to teach us about our pride and humility. Nothing better than a dose of humble pie to be served up along the way to keep us in check.

What Would the World Say of Our Faith?
The churches of Revelation were inventoried by Christ Himself with each spoken to about their good and not so good characteristics; Paul too visited churches and addressed many aspects of their daily walk with Christ; what would he report on us?

And Unwavering, “UnStaggering” Faith
So much in the Bible is grounding in us having a strong and unwavering faith in The Lord. We face challenges that are truly insurmountable in our own strength but with Christ, we can do all things! Our faith is our guiding light and our fuel to press on in times of darkness.

Don’t Fear What’s Behind the Door of the Lord
Fear of the unknown can be paralyzing! When we place our trust in the ways of the world and in the ways of man, we are truly trusting in the unknown and man is uncertain in his ways. The only certain path to take is that of the Lord’s; the path of righteousness.

Pain Will Give Way to Peace
We are sure to experience a little pain and discomfort in this life.  Our bodies grow older and begin to fail.  As children, we feel invincible and as a result, we take chances that our bodies can't cash in on and we end up injured.  As we age, we try to be young again and pay the price with aches and pains once again.  If there's any benefit to pain, it reminds us that we are still alive.  Jesus suffered immensely on the cross of Calvary - well beyond anything we could imagine or will ever experience.  We deserved the suffering of the cross but He paid the price for us that we would not have to endure such punishment for our sin.  As a result, we can accept the gift of eternal life, a life free of pain and full of peace as long as we accept Christ as Savior.  Pain will eventually give way to peace for those who believe.

Don’t Forget the Source of Your Power
So many times we rely on our own strength to accomplish daily living.  We work our finger to the bone trying to be all that we can be; we should work hard. However, we have to understand where our true power comes from. It comes from the Lord and we should ask for it and rely on it every day!  The leaders and prophets of the past surely depended on the power of God; so should we!

We Have Something the World Cannot Understand.
The people of God live with a different mindset and have a different understanding of life than that of the world.  We see tomorrow differently and as such, we see today differently.  The reason is that we have been given a gift to see us through the days ahead.  We have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us and with that comes the gift of the Spirit of Truth.  The world lives in the state of lies and deceit but the people of God live with the truth and the promises of God; let's not forsake those wonderful gifts!

Jesus is a Matter of the Heart
The celebration of the announcement of the birth of Jesus was something to behold.  A babe leaping in the womb, kings, traveling distances, shepherds, shepherds hearing from an angel... and then the birth... may gathered to see and to bring gifts.  But think of Mary.  It says that she pondered in her heart.  Can you imagine all that she was thinking?  All that she was imagining?  Maybe you and I can do the same - stop and ponder in our hearts what Jesus, living inside of us, can stir up inside of each one of us amidst the noisy world.

Feeling Defeated? We All Have at Times...
All of us at one time or another have had troubled times.  It may last a day or it even longer but regardless, the scriptures say it will be for a season, a period of time.  We are promised brighter days - but the promise didn't necessarily when that would be.  We have to come to the realization that life comes with good days and not so good days but it also comes with good friends and a great God to help us through it all.

The Love Of Jesus - Let It Show in Us...
So many people feel that mistakes made in their lives has taken away the opportunity for forgiveness and second changes at living.  Jesus was all about relationships with people outside the realm the religious community felt appropriate.  Maybe it would serve us better to emulate Jesus and love others as He loved and forgive as He forgave.

The Firm But Loving Hand of God
No one really likes to be corrected but no one is perfect! So we should all expect a little help along the way and that includes to be put back on track when we sway of the path. God the Great Motivator!
We all need encouragement and some days, we need it more than others! Sometimes we need a big push to get motivating to simply get out of bed! I’m thankful did a God that can pass by and speak to us in a still small voice to help us know that we can make it another day with His help!

Personal Responsibility - Not the Blame Game
There’s no need for anyone to point the finger anywhere except in the mirror when it comes to our personal actions. We are responsible for who we are and what we do. But so many times today the finger is pointed away from us and we try to blame others because of our past or because of the actions of others. Let’s take personal responsibility and address those one on one with God and steer clear of trying to blame others for who we are and what we’ve done. Personal repentance is God’s way - let’s stick to His plan.

Holy and Set Apart But Call Me Father
We sang the song, “what a mighty God we serve.“ That statement is very true. When Jesus taught us how to pray, he used the phrase, “Our Father”. How special we must be for Him to desire for us to call the creator of everything Father!

The Highway Signs on the Road to Heaven
We all must learn the "signs" when taking driver's education and we must pass them not only in written form but in visual form before we can get our license.  We too must also learn and know the signs through scripture of how to reach Heaven!  Genesis to Revelation, God has set up the way markers for us to know and follow.  It's time we learn them and follow.

Do We Pray for The Younger Generations?
There’s a great deal of influence in this world when it comes to framing the minds of our children. The home must be a positive influence and must have the things of the Lord in mind when it comes to leading our children through this world. Outfront, prayer must take the lead.

For Our Little Ones...
It’s a time when people feel helpless and hopeless and wonder what they can do in a time of difficulty and distress. They wonder in their time of weakness what they can do to help those beside them and around them. When you feel like that they can’t play a part. God desires to see our availability put into action not our ability. He will enable us if we will just say yes.

Stick with God and Let Go of All Else
We are tried every day by the things we encounter in this world. We could easily be let astray and our testimony ruined in a matter of minutes if we gave in to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life. Let’s purpose in our heart that we will follow after God as Daniel did.

No one likes the idea of going through trouble times but it seems the life of the Christian is one of suffering and difficult ways. Watching The Signs of the Highway of Life
It’s true that life in the direction of it can be very difficult to figure out at times. But I believe God has given us direction through his word and that we can travel in the general direction he wants us to go if we will stay in his word every day. Let’s try our best to follow the signs that God has given us and to follow the path that he has set before us.

Let’s Take A Walk...
There’s not much more that can take your mind off of things and taking a good walk out into nature. But a walk with God will be far greater than anything else we can do. The Right Tool for the Right Job
Trying to use a Phillips head screwdriver when you have to have a flat head is going to cause a lot of heartache and a lot of waste of time. The same is true when we tried to do the Lords work trying to do it by ourself. We have to understand that to do the Lords work we have to have the Lord. The right tool for the right job.

In the Name of Jesus!
The presence of Jesus should be something very special to every Christian. His presence in the garden on the night of his betrayal was powerful enough to send the guards to the ground. When we are lost and alone in this world, let’s speak the name of Jesus and watch the darkness disappear.

The Ultimate Security System
The discussion of our privacy today is very popular. So much of what we do is out in the open and we are being watched on every corner. Security cameras, surveillance cameras, and any other security measure that you can think of has us on the screen. But so does God! And I’m glad that he’s watching over me, listening to what I have to say, and has his face against those who are against me.

Seek and Ye Shall Find (With Your Heart)
When a loved one has left us, usually way before we would have desire it, We spend a lot of time searching for them in our hearts and minds. We long for their presence once again. When times become troubled in our life, There are instances when God seems far away as well and we have to search. But God hasn’t gone anywhere and we too have to search our hearts to find him.

Heavenly Inheritance, Not Earthly.... A Little Different Than We Think
The way families see inheritance is based on birthright for the most part. The first born is given certain rights to family possessions as so on and so forth. But when it comes to the Lord, birthright and the order thereof does not necessarily take precedence.

Take Time To Remember and Reflect
Lent, Ash Wednesday... some will participate and celebrate while others will not. Regardless, all Christians should take time to reflect and remember. All should take time to recall times past and remember where Christ has brought them from and where He has taken them to and to give thanks.

Breaking Free of Possessions to Serve Others
The value of the things we have sometimes take precedence over things that truly are of far greater value. Serving others and using our material abilities to do so may be what the Lord is looking for. Material possessions have a strong hold on many today and they keep us from serving as we should. Let go and serve Jesus.

Taking That First Step With the Lord...
We are so proud when our babies take their first step but at the same time it’s a sad time because we know they are growing up and becoming more independent. God wants us to become more dependent upon him and he wants us to relinquish control that he can order our steps and show us the right way to go.

Oh How Sweet to Trust in Jesus...
All of us to an extent have a sweet tooth. We all have a favorite candy or something that we desire that satisfies that sweet tooth. The altar of incense paved the way for the priest to offer up before God something sweet smelling that was pleasing to him. Christ was our sweet smelling savour, our sweet smelling offering. His Sweetness can’t be matched!

Our Daily Taste Test...
All of us have a taste for something. Whether it be pizza, steak, or sweets, or something else, we all have a particular taste for something. The Bible tells us to taste and see that the Lord is good. To consume all that we can of the Lord and to trust him. To take all that we can in and see how a good He really is!

That Human Touch...
People long to be held. A hug gives so much to a hurting person - they feel secure again. They feel wanted and welcome. The importance of human touch was exemplified in the life of Christ. He remained in physical contact with so many. And it made all the difference.

It’s as If We Have Ear Plugs In
It’s not that we can’t hear; it’s that we don’t listen. God has spoken but are we truly listening to what he has to say. Many times we are so anxious to talk and give our opinion that we’re not really listening to the truth. Maybe it’s time we kept silent and let the Spirit say to the church what needs to be said.

Following the Only True “GPS”
Finding our way through this life can be very difficult. But with the right navigator and with the right directions, we can make it. Maps can help us around this world and the technology in the GPS that we have in our phones can help us go from place to place. But to navigate life, we need the God positioning system which is the only true GPS.

Sometimes it’s the Little Things...
Mann rarely pays attention to the little details of life but with God, the little things really matter. And we consider all that God has created, we would think that he would use the Majestic things to teach us a lesson. But no, He used the ant... the little things to teach us big lessons.

Memories of a Special Place
We all have special places special times and maybe even special occasions that we all remember. Many of us will remember Granny’s place. A place of good memories of long ago. A place of many smells and tastes. All of those are wonderful and good and we should long for those days in many ways. But we should also long to be in the house of the Lord.

Our Meekness is Not a Weakness
The definition of success in this world is a far cry from the definition of success and a heavenly manner. It’s the meek that shall inherit the earth not the marquee names that scroll across Hollywood. Our meekness means so much more to the Lord than any of our worldly successes.

Back from the Sea of Despondency

Taking Ownership of Who We Are
God is a just God. He is a righteous God. And he will always do the right thing. As for Man, we will always try to get by. But God will never overlook the sin of man. We have to take ownership of all that we have done wrong, repent, and return to God. It’s not his fault. It’s ours.

We’ve Come A Long Way But How?
Man has made many advancements for sure but we have to realize the source of all that we have. God has been good to man but man has not been so good back!God deserves credit for what he’s given to man but man desires to take all the credit for all the good.

Standing Together
It would please the devil for us to be divided continually one against the other. The ways of the devil are cunning and manipulative. Many times we don’t even know that he’s working. Let’s not let the devil win. Let’s stand together and fight against the powers of darkness.

A Once Shipwrecked Life Made Whole Again
We all have a favorite song or hymn but I know for sure that most Christians and even non-Christians are very familiar with the song Amazing Grace. That song was written in a very trouble time my very troubled man in Christ, but a very trouble time imported that grace to all of mankind.

Walls Are Closing In But God Opens a Door
We all feel like the walls are closing in around us some days and that there’s no end to the task list that needs to be completed. We become overwhelmed and feel like that there’s no help. We even feel like there’s no help from family and friends and we feel like giving up. But we have a God that is ready and willing to open doors to deliver us out from the panic and the pain if we would just cry out.

No More Night... No More Darkness...
We have so many familiar paths that we walk When darkness comes, we have to take each step carefully because the darkness impairs our vision. Regardless of how well we know the way, darkness, storms, fogginess, and rain, blur our vision. The same can be said about our spiritual walk as well. Our spiritual vision can grow them and we begin to walk in spiritual darkness in need of spiritual light of which Christ can provide.

A Visit With Our Personal Physician
I don’t know that anything brings more worry to our minds and bodies that are physical health. And many times it is kept to ourselves. We know we have aches and pains and we don’t always share them. And we also have the mental and emotional and spiritual aches and pains that we keep to ourselves as well. We have the great physician that can heal them all.

Putting Forth The Effort
We will spend countless hours on things we enjoy but will we put the time in when it comes to the things of God? Well we seek his face on a continuous basis when we are searching for an answer to a prayer or two will need? Or do we just expect him to give without us putting forth the effort?

Tick Tock Says the Clock... Time is....
We are given 86,400 seconds each day. 1440 minutes in 24 hours. Sometimes it’s seems to pass by slowest and other times, very fast - it all depends on what we are doing. Regardless, time is limited and we have no idea how long we each have... how much are we giving to the Lord?

It’s Better If I Leave... For Now!
We never like to see our loves ones walk out the door but we know that sometimes that has to happen. Kids grow up and they build their own families. And yes, family and friends die and we miss them. Departing is hard to handle. Jesus himself in fact, told the disciples He had to go so the Holy Spirit could come and eventually, set the stage for His return! Leaving in this case was a good thing!

Hello... Nice to Meet You... Have a Blessed Day...
We truly cannot tell by the look on someone's face what they are experiencing.  Of course there are the obvious emotions of crying and laughing but even then, they may be shrouded in another deeper emotion we do not understand.  Regardless of what we may think, we need to simply be encouragers and offer words of kindness.  It will go a long way.

Willy Wonka Just May Teach Us a Few Things...
What we desire in life really tells a lot about who we are as a person.  How much we desire to accumulate shows our priorities.  As we go through life, we strive for the best but sometimes acquiring "the best" may take time and effort and yes, patience and waiting.  We must make sure we obtain what we need honestly and appropriately; rushing through life and making hasty decision usually leads to bad and costly decisions.  Life will throw us curve balls and difficult times and test us but we need to step back and take a deep breath before making choices we will regret.

Reaching Our Place of Silence...
There's lots of noise around us.  If we had a volume button, it would be time to at least turn it down but, it may also be time to find the mute button.  Life can become overwhelming for everyone no matter what walk of life you have and no matter what your age or spiritual health.  Our faith can be tested.  Maybe it's time to be silent and let God speak.

Resisting the Natural to Do the Unnatural...
It’s easy to be wronged and just naturally retaliate. But for the Christian, our job is to do the unnatural and to work to turn the other cheek and to pray for our enemies and those who simply do not like us or our beliefs.

How Does the World Know We’re Believers?
Who we are and how we act is very important when it comes to showing the world who Jesus is. Are we leading people to Christ or are we giving them reason to doubt. Christ gave the commandment to love as He Loved. I believe the time to start is now.

The One In Control of the Whirlwind
Little whirlwinds are actually kind of neat - they pick up dirt and leaves and carry them into the air and are fun to watch.  They are amazing things to watch and a puzzle to me as to how they form.  It has to do with warm air I believe but regardless, they are pretty cool to watch.  This world we live it is full of mysteries - unfortunately, one thing is not a mystery.  Mankind's actions are not getting any better.  The end of the story tells of the fall of man and it tells of the God who is in control of the whirlwind of time that we live.  He's in control and we must not lose sight of that one fact.

We have a God that is able to rule with the rod of iron and raise His "arm" in judgment while at the same time, use the same arm to cradle an injured sheep as our Shepherd.  What a mighty, gentle God we serve...

Show Me Lord!
I believe we all have asked for the Lord to show  up in our lives in the past. But, have we really cried out in such a way that we sought in a sincerely reverent manner, that we called out for Him to show us His true and powerful glory?  I don't believe anyone today has truly seen the power of the Lord in its truest sense.  I believe He's wait on us to prepare ourselves for it and to sincerely ask for it!  And then, I believe He will show up!

Sayings of Old Are Helpful For Today....
My what a time we live!  Emotional and spiritual rollercoaster would be understatements to describe how people feel.  Anyone, including pastors and preachers, who tell you otherwise, are hiding behind a lie.  Our faith is strong, but as the Bible states, the spirit is many times willing but the flesh, the "who" we are, seems to get in the way and cause anxiety!  Sometimes we just need to step back and take a deep breath and find a little nugget of comfort somewhere and maybe in someone!

The Whole Truth... Sweet and Bitter Together...
The truth is so important to the times in which we live. And yes, the truth is not always pleasant do not always enjoyable but as the Bible says the truth shall make you free. John saw things that were not imaginable to us but yet he was told to share both the sweet and the bitter. God’s word is powerful and we need to ingest it all even when it convicts the soul and makes us feel unworthy. It’s the same word that then save the soul and sets us on the right path to righteousness.

Think on these things...
Life. Fill in the blank because each one of us can and will tell and different story. It will be different from day to day as we experience the ups and downs of life. Put your mind in track with the Lord and think on His thoughts...

Carrying His Message With Us....
There are a lot of things you and I could talk about day in and day out but there’s nothing better than the story and life of our Savior Jesus Christ. In fact, we are instructed to tell all the world about who he is and what he has done, especially for us as individuals. Let’s utilize the gift of the Holy Ghost and share the story of Christ and what he has done for each one of us each and every day.

Time and Time Again...
Practice makes perfect.  Ever heard that statement?  When it comes to athletics or something technical in nature, I believe that to be the case as best as is humanly possible.  The implication is that repetition brings about improvement.  Hearing something over and over again usually brings about remembrance.  Just think of your favorite song... you've heard it time and time again... and you remember it...

Difficult times require clear minds...
If we desire to make right decisions, our minds better be as clear as possible.  We should be focused on the task at hand.  Fear, doubt, and anger will surely cloud the situation and lead to emotional choices instead of thoughtful and prayerful actions.  Sober minded - a Bible term we should become familiar with.

Rejoicing... Singing... Praising.... While Alone....
Separation and isolation can be hard.  We are people who need togetherness.  In times when we are apart from each other, and circumstances are not what we would like, maybe it's God trying to get in touch!  Let's not forget that when we are alone, we're really not!

A Measure of Faith For the Questions of Life...
We have a lot of questions that may or may not have answers.  Many will try to give answers.  The friends of Job tried to answer the issues of the trials of Job but they were way off base.  We never know the conversations of heaven and what may be happening in the "mind of God".  But by faith, we trust that He knows best.

I'll Believe It When I See it... Says Thomas...
"Proof is necessary to believe" is the philosophy of the world.  Our kids are being taught that scientific proof is necessary for us to believe in creation and that simply having faith in something isn't enough.  Faith is the substance (tangible) of things (material) hoped for, the evidence (proof) of things (material) not seen.  (Words added for emphasis).  We have to show the generation to come what faith really is and doubt cannot be a part of that equation.

Being an Active But Not a Busy Christian
Being busy is not always being productive. This is true in the workplace and it is also true in the ministry. We need to live an active life as a Christian and do the works of the ministry but we can’t be so busy that we soon our wheel, accomplishing nothing. Our focus has to be on the works for the Lord and not for man and self.

Knowing the Rules and then... following after them...
As teenagers we despised rules. But they were necessary for our safety and now as parents we see that a lot more clearly. As adults today, we don’t necessarily like all the government oversight many times, the rules are for our safety. The Bible, the rulebook of mankind, is for our ultimate safety. If we follow after God‘s word, we are sure to be eternally safe!

God’s Calling On His Family... Are We Listening?
2020 led to the calling of God’s people to pray. To seek God is a mighty way and to turn from our terrible ways and to ask for forgiveness that He may show mercy. It’s the family of God that He calls upon to pray - not the world. We can’t blame the world for God not answering - it’s us - His people- who should be seeking and asking!

Don’t Look Back....
Looking back over the day, the week or even the year will sometimes reveal heartache and pain but other times joy and happiness. Either way, the past cannot be changed. The future lies ahead and is waiting for us to make an impact. Let’s press forward and do what God has called us to do!

The Life We Live Lives On....
Life and Death - two topics with lots of emotions.  Usually death brings the saddest of emotions until many years pass and then laughter begins to sneak in and good memories overcome the time of death.  Our life is recorded in the hearts of those we love.  They will remember who we are and what we stood for.  We may not be recorded in a book or a journal or a movie but we will be etched in the minds of those around us.

Doing Something For Someone Else...
Have you ever paid for the meal of the one behind you in the drive thru line?  Have you ever pick up the tab of someone else at a restaurant just because?  Little things like these go a long ways in the spiritual health of mankind.  We never know what kind of day someone is having and just small tasks or efforts of affection can go far.  Let's work to do for others in 2021.

Busy... Busy... Busy... No Rest...
The City that never sleeps - the name given to New York City.  It's always active.  Such is the life of so many.  Never any down time.  Our lives are so full of activity, that we never find time to just rest - to rest the mind, to rest the soul, to rest the body.  When it comes to our sin, we have a new rest that we can find, far better than anything the Old Testament Saints could ever imagine as they worked the old sacrificial system to obtain a religious standard.  Christ is our rest; He takes upon Himself the price of our sin and pays the price - He bears the load that we may rest from our sin.

Turning A Weakness into a Strength...
Not many people are left handed so they can been seen at a disadvantage in this predominately right handed world.  The world dwells on strengths and looks down upon weaknesses.  However, whether we want to admit it or not, we all have weaknesses, no matter how powerful or "important" we are.  From a president to a pauper, we can all be used by God and made strong in our perceived weakness.

Abiding Together In Fellowship
John was called the beloved. He was the one that was there at the cross. He was the one found in the bosom of Jesus time and time again. John knew what it meant to be with Jesus and a very intimate and personal way. He knew what it meant to abide and to be in fellowship and you and I can learn to be both as well.

Together again...
This year has been a challenge from the perspective of socializing and getting together and showing affection one toward another.  A handshake is to be avoided, a hug is frowned upon and we are to do our best to keep our distance.  That's counter intuitive for the church and for the family.  We need togetherness!  We should desire togetherness as a family and as the family of God in the house of God.

Anticipation of a Special Arrival...
Anticipation brings excitement. We can’t wait for a moment in time to occur. Sweaty palms, racing hearts, fast breathing... and it seems as if it will never come ... and then, it happens. One day, something major is going to happen... and will you be ready for His arrival...

Preparing for the Spring Growth...
We all have room to grow. And I’m not speaking physically; I’m speaking spiritually. And for someone we love, that spiritual growth may need to come in the fashion of salvation! Either way, we have a duty to be the gardener. We need to be planning the seed or doing the watering and then we can watch God do the growing!

Looking for help in all the right places…
Charles Spurgeon often spoke of the greatness of the sickbed and have been in a situation of disability that our hearts were softened to the point of truly searching for Jesus. Let’s not let the sickbed be the only time we look up to the hills from whence cometh your help.

Sent to Be our Lifesaver...
We all have to come to the knowledge that we are in need of a Savior!  Our first step to heaven is one of acknowledgement of our sin nature in need of a sin saver!  Christ was born in Bethlehem so that we could have a home in Heaven.  He came to save when no one else was interested in doing so...

Hide and Seek... Works for some...
Hide and seek as a kid was fun.  It was all about being able to find a place where no one could find you.  I wasn't very good at it and was usually found very quickly.  When it comes to our spiritual life, we can't run and hide from the Lord.  He knows us oh too well...

Seeing God Beyond Our Days and Ways...
Perspective: it’s very important when trying to see the whole picture of what’s going on around us. I cannot imagine the feelings and situations that Moses was in but I believe we see how he dealt with all the was happening... he saw God. He understood life from God’s viewpoint. Maybe we should do the same.

I Cannot Tell A Lie...
God’s word is forever settled in heaven. He said that in Psalm 119 verse 89. He also said in Titus chapter 1 that he cannot lie. So you see the truth is godliness and godliness is the truth. We should forever desire to know the truth to share the truth and to live the truth. Man seems to change with the wind but God is never changing; let’s stick with God who we know is always going to be right.

Looking Back Without Asking "What if..."
All of us have moments we wish we could get back and do over again.  We use the phrase, "I regret that I didn't..." and you can fill in the blank.  Looking back, we all can say we have events we can learn from so let's truly learn from them and not suffer the same regrets again... especially when it comes to our witness for Christ.

A time of giving and receiving...
This time of year brings lots of memories and most surround the time at family gatherings were gifts were given and received. I’m thankful that we serve a God that knows our every need and is ready to give if we will just ask, seek, and knock that he will hear an answer according to what our needs are. Many times we ask for the wants in life and all we need to do is seek out God for what we need and he’s ready to give.

Looking out for those we love...
Parents have the instinct to be on guard for the children and to protect them against all harm.  Husbands should be so for their family as a whole.  The military has personnel stationed to watch for activity that might endanger the installation at which they are stationed.  God in turn, has set watchman for our souls.  They come in the form of preachers and pastors, Sunday school teachers and yes, I believe in the Christian leaders of the home - mom and dad... we live in a time when the truth needs to be shared and in doing so, we are watching for the souls those we love.

Believing is Better Than Seeing...
FAITH: it's the word Christians used to express their overwhelming trust in God.  It simply means we BELIEVE God.  Sometimes that strong belief is easy.  Other times, when it goes a little contrary to our thinking, believing takes a little more strength and trust.  But, in the end, believing God is all it takes.

Our Banner is Flying High Over Us...
We sing the Stars Spangled Banner... we say the Pledge to the Christian Flag at Vacation Bible School.  We fly the flag of the United States with honor and we display the Christian flag in our churches in remembrance of Christ.  Every day though, we have a flag flying over us that we can't necessarily see but we sure can feel - that's the Love of God above and around us each day that we should never forget - the banner of Love we should cherish so much.

Stop in the name of the Law! Or not...
You and I call break the law unless you can tell me that you never go over the speed limit by one mile per hour!  The Bible speaks heavily of the Law as given my Moses.  But, it then speaks heavily of the lack of the ability of the law to save mankind.  I'm not justified by what I do and how well I maintain compliance with laws.  I'm saved by grace given as a gift from God because of Calvary.

See... Saw.... See...Saw... Up...Down...Up... Down...
No one has a perfect life.  No one has it easy all the time.  Even folks that we think might have it made have hidden struggles they deal with.  Life is a series of good time and not so good times.  Seasons of health and seasons of sickness.  Times of happiness and times of sadness.  It almost sounds like Solomon writing Ecclesiastes.  But this is more about the daily ups and downs of life - the see/saw we get on every day.  All the time, God is good!  He's never moving - it's us that needs to hop off the teeter totter once in a while.  But let's give God thanks no matter where we are...

Leaving one (or many) to follow another...
Being without someone we love is very difficult.  We miss them.  We want to be back with them.  Parents would give their lives for their children to continue theirs; they would do all they could out of love to protect them.  Husbands are to love their wives to the point of giving their life for them as Christ did for the church.  Christ loved us before we ever thought of loving him.  We have had passions of the past and loves we would never let go of.  But, as a Christian, we should love Christ above anything or anyone and the Bible has tough scriptures to point us in that direction.  For us to fully understand Calvary, we have to understand a love greater than any love we've ever known.  Then we will understand the call to forsake all and follow Christ.

Child-Like, Needy, and Humble…
Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. The last thing we need to do is turn a child away when he has a question. Jesus taught that to us as well but with a much deeper spiritual meaning. We are to approach God as a little children, childlike, needy, and humble. Not as the know it all Pharisees of the Bible.

Words to Live By...
Experience has been official to those who come after us! It also keeps us from maybe making the same mistakes twice. Either way we can give our experiences to others as Paul did to Timothy. He used words and phrases to encourage him to stand strong in the Christian faith. This daily devotion gives you some of those words throughout the book of second Timothy.

It’s Gonna Take Knee Time...
The Bible says to pray without ceasing given a sense of it being something regularly obtainable before God. But I know that that praying without ceasing is more of a mindset than an act. Seeking God is not always easy and it’s not his fault but ours. But in the day that we live, knee time just want it’s gonna take to push through the times that we live in the situations that keep ramping up before us. We have the opportunity to boldly approach the throne but we are the one that hinders that; not God. So let’s push forward with our prayer life and afflict ourselves before an Almighty God and get in touch with him in our time of need.

Not Enough Books In This World....
God is so much bigger than all of us. He’s so much bigger than all that we can know and understand. The Bible says the world could not contain all the books that could be written about who Christ is and what he did when he walked this earth. Our minds would have difficulty comprehending all that God is. But I don’t believe he intends for us to have that. I believe the garden of Eden proves that. But what he does want us to know is that he loves us and gave his life for us that we may have eternal life with him. That is one piece of knowledge that is within our understanding.

This Thing Called “Time”...
I remember a soap opera that mom and my grandmother used to watch religiously. It began like this, “like sand through the hourglass, these are the days of our lives.“ That specifically makes reference to time. We see the clock, we know that it goes TickTock all day long, and we know that we are allotted a certain amount of “time“. But understanding time can be very difficult for us humans to do; God created time and is outside of time and is not bound by time. There was a “time“ before God said in the beginning. When we hear the word beginning that implies the start. But God was before… Again, our minds cannot comprehend all there is to know about God so by faith we move forward and hopefully use our times wisely.

The greatest story ever…
Each of us will have a story about our life. No two stories will be the same. You and I are unique and who we are and what we experience. Each of us could write a book. And no one could write a book like yours. We have a story but there’s no greater story than that which was told to the shepherds... It’s a story familiar to us all and should never be forgotten.

Patience... learning through hard times...
No one likes to hear the phrase “learning patience”. Most will associate developing patience incurs difficulties and troubles to build that patience. Christian suffering is something this world does not grasp or understand. As the world does not understand the benefits of suffering we do not understand many of the things of this world. We are at opposition with the things of this world and our Christian suffering is a result of a world not understanding the ways of faith and trusting in a Sacior that we’ve never met.

Door Number 1?, Door Number 2?, or, Door Number 3?...
When people enter into our home, they come through a particular door. Now we are familiar with all of our doorways in our home but visitors sometimes just can’t find the right one to get out! So you see, knowing the right way again is important. Choosing the right door to enter in the first time is always best. Jesus says, “I am the door of the sheep.“Of course we have to choose the right door and that is Christ.

There are so many things to choose from…
Satan knows our every weakness that we voice and express. But he doesn’t know those that are internal to our self. You see, God knows us inside and out where as the devil, he can only react to what we have revealed. As a result, many of our Temptations brought on because of what we revealed to the devil himself. And when he comes to attack, he will go after our every weakness. Temptations have to be battled but they have to be battled spiritually, not physically and the only way to do that is to watch and pray, and to fire back with the word of God.

All Through Life’s Journey
No matter how young or old or anywhere in between we may be, the Bible is alive and can speak to us each and everyone in our own way. When we read Psalm 23, we can see that it’s about the Lord being with us throughout life journey. He’s there when we need him he’s there when we need rejuvenation he’s there in our mourning time and he’s there in our prosperous times. And of course, he’s there when we reach the end of life’s journey and he takes us to the house of the Lord where we will dwell forever. He is our shepherd... so let’s follow Him now...

Giving Grace... Not Passing Sentence
We all know that sometimes the punishment doesn’t match the crime. I’m actually thankful that the grace of God withholds punishment from me knowing that I have sinned against him time and time again. So you see, Grace is extended and is extended along with the mercy of God. Judgment could easily be passed on each and everyone of us today. But while the love of God is being extended and shown across this world, grace is given and the sentence is being withheld. You and I were sentenced to death for our sins with the grace of God showed up and saved our souls from the judgment of God for our sins. You and I can learn to show Grace even when it’s not merited and withhold judgment for you and I will be judged by the same judgment ourselves. Give grace and give grace abundantly

Blessings... Not Cursings...
2020 has been a year of great division. It’s really sad to see people disagree with each other in so many ways and the time that we’re living. And the disagreements are manifested in our words. Our body is designed to work together to maintain a stable state of being. You and I however, get out of sync between body soul and spirit. Our tongue and our heart are intricately joint spiritually and many times malfunction! Let’s close the year by putting the heart and tongue back together in a more synchronous manner that is for good, that is, blessings, not cursing’s.

The Toothpaste Is Out!
Our words can be so powerful but at the same time very destructive. Our ears are very beneficial to us and need to be used far more than our tongue. It’s our words that can get us in trouble really quick and many times we do not think before we speak. Many times what we blame our memory for, is actually us not listening to begin with! We may be so concerned with what we need to say, that we simply just do not hear what the other person is saying. I believe this is something we all can work on.

If you can’t stand the heat…
No one likes to “be put to the test”. We feel like that were being judged especially when it happens by man. But I can tell you that our faith is on trial every day. And sometimes our faith has to be tried by fire. Difficult times come in the Lord may be working on us and through us to show others his glory and power by our difficult times. As the three Hebrew boys withstood the flames and were rescued by their faith in God (Christ), so do we at times have to push through the flames and come through unscathed.

When Mercy and Grace Move In
I believe we all desire to achieve 100% accuracy and everything that we set out to do in our life or job. But we all fall short of that knowing that none of us are perfect. We should take care not to judge others for their falling short of 100% because we know the Bible says for all have send and come short of the glory of God. You see, 100% accuracy is set at Jesus when it comes to our Christian walk. We should strive but we know that we fall short. Others do as well and we should strive to help put them back on track when we can but without being judgmental knowing that we too will be judged by the same law. Let’s work together to help each other strive for the hundred percent mark but give mercy and grace when we miss.

Sometimes We Don’t Understand... Until.
Gods word may be difficult at times but with the power of the Holy Spirit we can work through those hard times and begin to see God‘s word be knit together and unfold before us in a way that we’ve never seen it before. To do so, we have to search the Scriptures and we should do so when it comes to understanding the division that the truth may cause. You and I cannot be in unison with the world but we should strive to keep the peace amongst the brethren.

Coming Out of our Cocoon.
Each of us has a time in life for a major change may take place. It may be moving away from home. It may be getting married. It may be a job or a change in jobs. Either way change comes and sometimes it’s very difficult to deal with. But we need to make one major change: that’s our choice to follow Christ. But when we make that decision and we are changed, that’s only the beginning of the changing process as a Christian. You and I have to make decisions and choices every day and so we really have to change a little at a time because we truly are a work in progress. Allow God to intervene in your life so that you may make changes that will be to the good and glorify the Father in heaven.

To follow or not to follow: that is the question.
Leadership. What is your definition? Good leaders versus effective leaders? Effective leaders will convince others to follow them even if it’s down the wrong path! One example? Pharaoh. He was effective, but not good! Who is both? I believe Christ will fit the bill for being both good and effective when it comes to leadership. He said I am the way the truth and the life… So he’s going to lead us in the paths of righteousness. The crown of glory is waiting for those Christian leaders who stepped up and took the reins and lead the church and the Christian in the direction of sound biblical teaching. What will the next generation be when it comes to leaders?I believe a lot of that is up to the leaders of today.

No One Said It Would Be Easy
The fourth of the five crowns of which we are speaking of is the crown of life. You see, if we make the right choice to follow Christ, we will have eternal life. But I also know that as we endure the Temptations and difficulties of this life, Christ will have a specific award for us. It is the crown of life. But it takes us to endure, to push through in hard times, in times of criticism. So, let’s ensure “ten days”, that periods of struggles we all face and receive the crown of life - eternal life.

What (Or Who) Are We Looking For?
Every day we should seek after what’s best for our lives for our families lives. But I’m afraid sometimes we’re looking in the wrong places what what we need. Our desire should be to seek Jesus and His teachings, and His ways. Even more so, in this upside down world, we should be looking for the return of Jesus because He said he would come quickly. Who knows when that will be.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!
Good news is always something we desire. The world we live in today doesn’t always bring that good news. But I know for a fact that the saving of a soul is some of the best news that you could ever hear! Our job as Christians- no our desire as Christians should be to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and as a result, there’s yet another crown at the end of the race - The crown of rejoicing or, the soul winners crown. The soul is far more important that the crown so let’s strive to tell the story that someone may come to accept Christ today!

How Many Hats Do You Wear?
We all have many functions and jobs in this life. Really there’s none more important than that of friend. But we also wear the hats of Daddy, Mama, employee, Christian, etc. This reminded me of a topic in the Bible about crowns. The Bible speaks of five crowns or awards that we will be given for our Christian service. One in particular is the incorruptible crown or the victors crown. This speaks of our desire to know and to give God’s word to others and that will take work and discipline. All describes it as running a race and that we should strive for the prize at the end of the run.

Nope... Not Today...
We all sometimes wake up with an attitude of “not today”. Our minds are just not thinking in the right order and our bodies don’t seem to want to follow. We waiver in our thoughts and our actions usually because of something emotional but it could also be physical. Either way we are just sometimes unstable in our actions. But we serve a God that is constant. Unwavering. Truthful. God continued His promises to Moses when Joshua took over as leader. Nothing around Moses or Joshua deterred the Lord from keeping His plan; so you and I serve an unwavering dependable God who doesn’t “wake up” some days on the wrong side of the bed!

Time On Our Hands...
There are 24 hours in a day of which part of it we will sleep part of it we will choose to sit down and have a meal and part of it we will be at work or at school. How we divide that 24 hours up is really a personal decision. What we do with the time that has been given us is so important because we really don’t know we have left. How will we use the gift that God has given us at another day?

The World Has Little to Offer... But God...
No one likes to be called foolish. But the world has a habit of seeing all that is of Christ as foolishness. Too many it just doesn’t make sense to follow after something they cannot see. Proof. Evidence. They are looking for something they can see in touch. They believe in the things of this world and try to accumulate as much as they can. All the possessions of the world will never compare to the saving of my soul by the cross of Calvary.

Beyond the Stars
I encourage you to go outside some nights and just stand and look up and gaze at the stars. But as you look, understand that even though physically we can’t reach those celestial bodies, we can reach the one who created them! God is never so far away that our spiritual eyes can’t see him and never so far away that our spiritual voices can’t reach him. We have to look beyond the physical and see the spiritual. I will lift up line unto the hills... hills that are beyond the physical ones that we can see you today. God is there… Let’s not forget and look past him.

The Warnings of Noah Still Apply....
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord… This was said after the Lord said and it repented the Lord that he had made man. I wonder how disappointing we are to God in today. I believe the warnings are being sound it again that we should repent and turn from our wicked ways that God will hear from heaven and will forgive our sin and heal our land. I pray we work towards pleasing God I’m not making him angry. The power lies within our self to either please God or to not. The choice is ours.

Best-Seller in Every Home
How blessed we are in this country that we may own not just one Bible but many. So many places on this planet or prevented from having the Word of God in the possession. People have died because they carried the Bible with them. Missionaries have been excommunicated from the country because they were bringing Bibles into the country. Let’s realize what we have and use it every day and not take it for granted. Open up the Word of God and see what He has to say.

The only source of life...
There are no substitute for the real thing! Medical science has attempted to re-create the life substances found in our blood. But no matter how hard they try they cannot duplicate the original! The Bible is clear that the life of the flesh is in the blood. If you prick the finger of all humans, you will find the same color blood. This shows there’s really only one race on this planet and it’s the human race. Christ shed his blood that we all may have eternal life.

Love in Action....
The word love is mentioned over 400 times in God’s word. It’s mentioned 78 times in the books that John wrote reflecting almost 20% of the times love is spoken of in the Bible. The Bible says that God is love and that if we love God, we will love our brothers and sisters in Christ and even our enemies. Love is powerful but love has to have action. We saw the love of many in action in the wars of this world that have secured our freedoms. But there is no greater love than that which was shown on Calvary when Christ died for all of man.

Show Me Lord! Please! Just Show Me!
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. So many times, we want proof of where God is leading us. And we should be so glad that God is long suffering by time and time again being very patient with us along the way. Gideon was such a man and he wanted proof! May our faith increase and our doubt decrease as we walk this life seeking God’s will.

Do It All For Him...
Man will always rank humanity with those being in prominent positions and those being in lower positions with an organization that are considered to be the true workers. But when it comes to gods work, we all are equal! It’s all about spreading the news, the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ. And we all hold that responsibility as Christians to give the world Christ. All we do should be done in the name of Jesus and we should try to do it our best and to rely on him for the ultimate help to serve.

Digging Deep Into Our Hearts
No matter how we may try, we can’t hide anything from God. He knows it all inside and out. But sometimes we think we can tuck something away deep down inside and leave it there for our self. God will usually then send something into our life that will cause us to dig deep and plow up that which we wanted to remain covered

Finding the starting line of life…
I’m sure most of us will agree that life is sometimes like a race. Hustle, bustle, constantly on the go… But one of the important things of that race is that you know where to start. We have to know the beginning… God’s word shows us the beginning of it all when it comes to life and who we are. There’s some instructions about a new beginning, a new life that has to be found in Christ.

Alone But Not Alone...
Depending on our personality, loneliness may be a good thing or it may be a thing that is very depressing! Some people like to be alone but others can’t seem to do without the company of others. Regardless, loneliness is something we all have to deal with as do we have to deal with trials and troubles. David, Peter, and John, all dealt with it but I believe God was working on them during those times of separation. Maybe God is trying to separate you so that he could work on you.

Finding Rest in a Restless World
Finding rest in this sleepless world is very difficult to do. Life is fast paced and sometimes overwhelming and tiring. Finding time to be still it’s very difficult to do. God wants us to find rest in Him.

Live Life Today - Tomorrow is Too Late
Many of the sayings that we have today come directly from the Bible or they are patterned after scripture. One saying that I have always used is I’d rather be a live chicken than a dead duck meaning I’d rather be a little timid about things and called “chicken” for maybe running from fear than to hang around irresponsibly and be in danger. The Bible says that it’s better to be a living dog than a dead lion. We can have an influence while we’re living and can make changes occur but once this life is over, those opportunities are gone. Live life today while God is still giving you the opportunity to do.

The Eyes of God
Our eyes are an amazing organ they allow us to see things day in and day out. The Bible speaks of God watching over us and seeing everything that we do. Let us never take our physical or spiritual vision for granted.

Learning to Wait: Patience is a Virtue
Waiting. It’s a very difficult thing to do. I’m sure all of us have had issues with patience in the past and may have issues today! Regardless, God wants us to learn to wait on him so that he can move and he can do his work in a mighty way if we will just watch and wait.

Let Us be Glad to Go to Church!
Today, let us rejoice knowing that we have the privilege to walk through the doors of the church of our choosing without fear of persecution or prosecution. It’s not like that in other places yet we take walking through the doors of the church for granted.

From Generation to Generation.
Every generation seems to criticize the one before. But there is a responsibility of each generation to carry forward those things which are important. One thing is for sure, the love of God needs to carry forward from generation to generation.

Success: How Do Your Define It?
We are so blessed by God in so many ways. One particular way, is that we are given spiritual gifts. God has chosen us for a work and for us to be successful in that work, we have to know what those gifts are. Everyone has at least one; find yours and use it to his glory.

Have You Ever Asked “Why”?
It goes without saying that we have a lot of questions as we go through this life. One of them is very open ended and we asked the question why? I’m not sure we’ll have the answer to that this side of heaven for everything that we do and everything that we ask but I can rest assured knowing that God knows why that’s really all that matters.

Sometimes We Need to Reboot!
Scatterbrained! I have experienced it and I’m sure you have too. We have to sometimes grab a hold of all that’s happening around us, slow down, and maybe even reboot! A renewing of our mind is necessary to shut out the things of this world. If we want to know what the perfect will of God is, then we’ve got to set aside our will and everything around us and try to hear what He has to say for us during the reboot!

Finding Peace During the Week
Regardless of your work schedule and regardless of what you do for a living, stress comes during the week. There’s no better place to look than to the Lord and in his word for that piece that we need wind stress reaches its peak. In fact, it might be better we search out God’s Word on a regular basis before the peak ever occurs.

Fast paced lives deserve fast paced access to the truth!
We live in a world that knows only two speeds. Stop and Go! My prayer is that these daily messages and thoughts will help you pause for just a minute or two and give the Lord a part of your day but more importantly, that you will trust Him with your entire life!

Foundations First
If we want something we build to stand firm, we best start with a solid foundation.  Otherwise, everything else we try to add to our lives will be weak and could crumble under the pressure.  That solid foundation of course is Jesus Christ our Lord.

You Want Me To Pray for How Long?
Prayer - we have the blessed privilege of asking the creator of the universe for our needs.  Prayer makes things happen.  Prayer sooths our soul.  Prayer convicts our heart.  Prayer is central to our lives and the Bible speaks volumes on the need for a spirit led prayer life - I Thessalonians 5:17

Absence and the Heart
Absence makes the heart grow fonder is said time and time again.  In the current situation around the world and especially in the local church, Christians should have a strong desire to be together and to be in fellowship one with another.
