The story of the Tower of Babel is a story about selfish desires, disorientation and dispersal.

In the rest of the creation story, we see let up, labor, limits, loneliness, life and a command to leave.

In the creation account of Genesis 1, God spoke things into existence, saw that His creation was good, shaped man in His image and set man apart as special.

The believer’s victory formation consists of a faith that ~conquers~, a Triune God who ~confirms~ and a salvation that is ~certain~.

In 1 John 4, we see authentic love considered, communicated, consisted, confirmed, completed, commenced and commanded.

John tells believers to gauge the spirits of truth and error. The spirit of truth confesses the Gospel, is greater than the spirit of error, and those who know God gives heed to it.

As believers, we are God’s progenies presently, we have a promise to be like Him and this hope purifies us.

John instructs believers to not love the world because the three main evils of the world are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Those who don’t love others are in total darkness, walk in that darkness and don’t know where they’re going but those who love others are in the light.

True believers keep God’s commands, keep God’s word and walk as Jesus walked.

As we examine the 107th Psalm and compare it to 2023, we see circumstances of distress, cries to the Lord and calls to give thanks to God for His goodness and mercy

In “Emmanuel: God With Us”, the US being referred to includes those who are damaged, lost, weary and sinful.

In “Emmanuel: God With Us”, Jesus is not merely NEAR us, ABOVE us or BELOW us. He is WITH us.

In “Emmanuel: God With Us”, Jesus of Nazareth is the GOD being referred to. We can see His Divinity in his names Jesus, Christ and Emmanuel.

Jesus Christ is our advocate, atoning sacrifice and offers to be these things to all of the world.

If we confess our sins, we will receive the matchless mercy of God, which is displayed by His faithfulness, justice, and forgiveness.

John exhorts Christians to acknowledge the goodness of God, admit our failures, and align our lives with the light of God.

In the first 4 verses of the first chapter of 1 John, we see this real life revealed, experienced and shared.

As veterans in the Lord’s army, may we be willing to serve, sacrifice, be strong and have stamina for the sake of the Gospel.

As followers of Christ, we shouldn’t seek to be well said, well played, or well-off. Instead, we should seek to be able to hear “well done”.

We will characterize faithfulness, show a counter to faithfulness, examine some cases of faithfulness and look at Christ’s faithfulness.

As we look at the word “servant”, we will examine the definition of the word “servant”, the different deities that people serve, the distinction of the Lord God and the design of Christ that we should all follow.
