In today’s episode I am joined by Sam Hudson. Sam is a UEFA A License and Academy Coach at Aston Villa Football Club. Sam is also a Coaching consultant and Tactical analyst for the Coaches Voice. In today’s episode we talk about Sam coaching experience in the U.S and his progression from category 3 to category 1 Academy coach. We also learn more about Sam’s recent book publication “Football in a Pandemic An insight into the strategies and tactics used during the 2020/21 Premier League season.

Today i am joined by Nick Dunbar. Nick is the former President & Director of Business development at North American Soccer Camps (NASC) & Major League Soccer Camps (MLS Camps).  Nick has coached youth soccer in the U.S over 30 years.  He holds a USSF A license & United Soccer Coaches Premier and Master Coach Diploma.  Nick recently graduated with a Masters in Sports Directorship, Management and leadership of high performing organizations from the Manchester Metropolitan university.

In todays episode we discuss Nicks introduction into coaching and his personal and professional development throughout his career especially at   NASC/MLS Camps.  We also talk about Nicks passion and desire to continually learn in a formal and informal setting.

Today I am joined by Kaique Fernandes  Kai is a coach for SUSA Long Island. He is a Brazilian born soccer player who grew up in Queens and Long Island New York. He is a former defender at Iowa Western & Wright State University as well as a playing professionally for Nacional in Brazil. In today’s episode we talk about how a his love of soccer, family and Brazilian culture has developed him as a player and coach and what Brazilian  and characteristics can be applied to the U.S player and coach.

Today i am joined by Dan Giorgi.  Dan is retuning for his second podcast and was a guest in season 3.  Dan is the Director of Coaching at Oyster Bay East Norwich soccer club and captain of the Oyster Bay United Football Club in the UPSL Northeast conference.  In todays episode we talk about the formation of Oyster Bay United F.C and it's influence and benefits  to the soccer community of  Oyster Bay NY and the impact of being a role model to youth soccer players.

Todays episode am joined by Byron Gutierrez. Byron is a High School Spanish teacher and Girls Head soccer coach at Edmond Memorial H.S Edmond Oaklahoma and Director of the Chandler Soccer Academy. In todays episode we discuss Byron’s transition from American Football to Soccer and how he has developed as a coach. We also talk about the formation and reasoning behind the formation of his own soccer training academy program.

In today’s episode I am joined by Professor Peter McGahey. Peter is currently professor of Athletic Coaching Education at West Virginia University College of physical activity and sports sciences. Peter holds a Doctoral Degree is Educational Leadership and is  USSF A License Coach USSF National team scout and former NCAA Division 1 & 2 Women’s head coach.

In today’s episode we discuss Peters Coaching and academic career as well as learning more about his role as a Coaching instructor and educational leader.

Kyle Jordan is a UEFA B License Coach from Horsham England.  Kyle is the U16 Coach and Youth Development Manager at Crawley Wasps. In todays episode we talk about Kyles introduction into coach in both England and the U.S. We also talk about his many roles with professional clubs in the London area and the formation of 2 touch Football.

In today's episode I am joined by Paul Robinson.  Paul is a UEFA B and FA Youth Award coach from North East England.  Paul is also an author and mentor.  Today's episode will talk about Paul’s introduction into coaching both in England and the U.S.  We also talk about his new book “The Soccer Sessions Book” and his role as a coaching mentor.

Dave Simpson aka Dave Kaka is a club soccer coach from Lancaster Pennsylvania. Dave holds a USSF C license and has coached in Australia, England, Japan and Malaysia.  In today's episode we discuss Dave's upbringing and how it has shaped his personality and desire to coach youth soccer. We also learn more about his coaching role with Pennsylvania classics.

Ben Swalwell is the Girls Head Coach and World History Teacher at St Lucie Pulbic Schools in St Lucie Florida.  Ben is a former college assistant in Arizona and Wisconsin as well as coaching club and recreational soccer.  In todays episode we talk about Ben's introduction onto coaching and his move to the U.S. We also talk about how Ben combined teaching, coaching and education as well as starting his own Free College ID Camp.

Eric Clermont is USSF A License and United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma coach who is the Boys competitive director for U13-U19 at Tampa Bay United in Tampa Florida. I first met Eric back in 2010 when we were both coaches for Noga Soccer in Long Island and Southern Connecticut.  We were also both participants on the USSF National Youth License back in 2014.

In todays episode we talk about Eric's first steps into coaching and how he came to the U.S to coach.  We also talk about the continuation of his formal and informal learning as a coach and how he transitioned into new coaching roles after his big move from New York to Florida.

Rickie Powers is one of the head coaches for Chattanooga FC Academy in Chattanooga Tennessee. Rickie holds a USSF C License and has coached in several states including Colorado, Ohio and Tennessee. In today’s episode we talk about Rickies first introduction into coaching and his move to the U.S. We also talk about how he turned a hobby into a career change and some of the big moves he has made in the U.S to further his coaching career. We also discuss his current role and thoughts on coaching youth soccer.

 Scott McBride is the Women’s Assistant coach at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Connecticut and former Associate Head coach at Bridgeport University and NOGA soccer regional manager. I first met Scott back in 2006 when I started working for Noga soccer in Connecticut. In today’s episode we talk about Scott’s introduction into coaching with Noga and the many programs he has helped develop in his 23 years coaching in the U.S how he progressed his coaching career from summer camp coach to Division 1 College assistant.

Today I am joined by fellow Burnley supporter Callam Booth. Cal is the Director of Juniors Coaching for FC Dallas Eastern Texas, a satellite academy of FC Dallas in Tyler Texas. Callam also holds a UEFA B License and Is a graduate of John Moores University in Liverpool England. In today’s episode we talk about Callam’s introduction into football and coaching in Europe and the U.S. We also talk about his current role with FC Dallas and how being a Burnley fans has shaped his coaching philosophy and passion for the game.

Gary Fowler is the Youth Development Manager at Institute Football Club in Londonderry Northern Ireland. Gary is midway through completing is UEFA A License with the Northern Irish FA. I first met Gary back in 2004 when we were both coaches for Major League Soccer Camps in Southern California. In today’s episode we discuss Gary’s 10 years coaching in the U.S and how it helped him in his return to coaching in Northern Ireland. We also talk about his current role as Youth Development Manager and the tremendous job he is doing in giving youth players and coaches a clear pathway to development. We also talk about Gary time completing the UEFA A License and the beginning of his Master’s Degree.

Ben Scott is back for his second podcast. Ben is the Director of Coaching of Larchmont Mamaroneck Football club and owner/operator of GB Soccer in Westchester County NY. Ben holds a UEFA B, USSF C License & United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma. In today’s episode we discuss Bens coaching in 2020 and some of the changed and adaptations he has made to his coaching. We also talk about the launch of GB Soccer and how he was able to continue his formal and informal learning.

John Stewart currently the operations manager and development coach for Future Football in Melbourne Australia. John also holds a UEFA B license from the Irish FA. I first met John back in 2005 when we were both coaches from MLS Camps and the NY/NJ Metrostars. In today’s episode we talk about John’s introduction into coaching in Northern Ireland and our time together in the U.S. We also talk about his coaching roles in 3 continents and the cultural landscape of soccer is Australia and his roles as a developmental coach.

Jason Collinsworth  is the owner and operator of Play Maker Training in Buffalo NY. I first came across Jason via social media, You Tube and his website playmakertraining.com. Jason recently opened his own indoor training facility specifically designed to work with individuals and small groups in Western NY. In today’s episode we talk about Jason’s introduction and background in soccer background in soccer and reasons behind the Playmaker training organization. We also talk about the design and operation of his own indoor soccer specific training facility.

Dirk Bennett is the Assistant Coach at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston Illinois. Dirk holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, USSF C License and Masters in Business Administration. I first met Dirk back in 2017 when we were both participants on the Premier Diploma in Elmhurst Illinois. In today’s episode we discuss Dirks transition from the business world into soccer coaching and his coaching career from volunteer to full time assistant.

Eddie Hackett is the Boys Technical Director of SUSA Academy, DOC of Baymen soccer club and a USSF A License Coach. I first met Eddie back in 2005 when we were both player development officers for the Metrostars and MLS Camps.

In today’s episode we talk about Eddie’s introduction into coaching in Suffolk county and MLS Camps. We talk about Eddies desire to develop youth soccer players and provide them with the best facilities, training and competition. Simon Cook is a youth director and coach at De Anza Force soccer club and a professor and head coach at Evergreen Valley College both in San Jose California. I first met Simon back in 2004 when we were both participants on the NSCAA National Diploma in Moreton in Marsh, England. Simon is a USSF B license & NSCAA Premier Diploma coach as well as graduating with a Masters in Kinesiology from the Fresno Pacific University. In today’s episode we talk about Simon’s time as a coach and regional director on the West Coast and the time and dedication into progressing as a coach, director and educator in the San Jose area of California.

Tom Harris currently the Assistant Academy Director at North Carolina FC and the Head coach of the clubs USL 3 U23 team. I first met Tom back in 2004 when we both coached summer camps in Florida for MLS Camps. Tom has also coached academy level soccer for NY Redbulls and Houston Dynamo. Tom also holds A USSF A license and Elite Formation Coaching license from the French Football Federation.

In today’s episode we reminisce on our time together with MLS Camps and the NY Metro Stars. We talk extensively about Tom’s remarkable career that took him to Red Bull Ghana and his time as Assistant Coach of the Sierra Leone National Team. We also talk about Tom’s current role in North Carolina.

Richard Simpson is the High School Age group Head Coach at Chicago Rush West. I first met Rich back in 2004 when we both coached for MLS Camps in Los Angeles California and we have kept in contact ever since. In today’s episode talk about Richs introduction into coaching. We also talk about how he made Chicago home and learn a little more about his role with the Chicago Rush and the Bartlett Soccer Club.

Oscar Villegas is the owner of One Touch Soccer Academy and has over 20 years’ experience as a youth soccer coach predominately here on Long Island. Oscar is an advocate for the freestyle soccer movement and has represented several organizations as a freestyle performer including the likes of NY Red bulls, Nike & Pepsi. I first met Oscar back in 2009 when we were both participants on the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma at Hofstra University. In today’s episode we discuss Oscar’s introduction into soccer and how he started his coaching career. We also talk about how he got into the freestyle movement and how it has had a strong influence on his coaching style.

Today I am joined by Patrick Snyder. Pat is the Head Coach of Real Central NJ a USL Division 2 U23 Men’s team based in Trenton New Jersey. I first met Pat in 2015 when we were both participants on the USSF C License in Orangeburg New York. Pat is also a former College Head coach as well as coaching club travel soccer for several years. Pat is also holds a USSF B license and a Bachelors in Communications. It todays episode we discuss Pats coaching career in New Jersey, especially his new role as Head coach of Real Central NJ.

Today I am joined by Mark Nash. Mark is the Director of Coaching at Stony Brook Soccer club. I first met mark in 2009 when we were both participants on the NSCAA Advanced National at Hofstra University. Since then I have followed Marks career from a distance, especially through his social medial handles.

Mark has been with Stony Brook Soccer Club since 2003 and has been coaching for 25 years. Mark holds a NSCAA Advanced National and USSF License. In today’s episode we discuss Marks time coaching for Stony Brook and how his role in the club has evolved from volunteer assistant to Full time Director of Coaching.

Enda Crehan is the newly appointed Mens Head coach at Christian Brothers University in Memphis Tennessee. Enda was most recently the men’s head coach at Ferum College and DOC at Piedmont Youth Soccer League, a position he held for over 10 years.

Enda holds a UEFA B license, NSCAA Premier and Master Coach Diploma as well as a MBA business leadership and bachelors in International business marketing.

I first met Enda in 2008 when we both coached for Noga Soccer at the Terryville Soccer club here on Long Island. We had recently reconnected through the North American Irish coaches webinars.

In today’s episode we discuss Enda’s route into coaching and moving to the U.S as well as his academic achievements. We talk about how his down to earth approach and interpersonal skills have helped him gain contacts and lifelong friendships that have helped Enda in furthering his career as a successful college and club coach.
