Android tells Apple to stop playing games and let's end the separation between iMessage and YuckMessage and we question our loyalties in friendship and relationships surrounding the status icon of "green texts". Elon tries leveling the social media playing field and it kinda backfires. This leads the guys to discussing what the whole big deal is with social verification and why is society so obsessed with it? And whole lot more!

Continuing our entrepreneur circuit this time around we got to visit the Constantly Create Shop out in New Hyde Park, NY. It was a dope experience and right from the gate the shop's founder, DJ Kinslow, surprised us with some fire hoodies for this episode!

DJ dived into his beginnings as a car salesman (a la Handsome) with a dream, a dream he worked on and toward every waking day. As he saved up from every car sale and invested in his then side gig, designing and printing tees. Inspired by Kobe's last game and his obsession with sports memorabilia, he realized he could do better then most vendors out there. The rest is history.

The world of American sports has been stagnant for a long time. Aside from MMA and the UFC, no one has been able to keep up with the big four  (NBA, NFL, MLB & NHL) - but that's about to change.  

This week we had the honor of sitting with not only an amazing  entrepreneur, but also a Queens NY born and raised go-getter, Chris Viso.  Some might recognize his name from the Miami party scene as he's been the brain behind many top businesses out there, including; The Franklin  Hotel, Bacon Bitch, Drunk Bitch, and his pride and joy, Shh, one of  Miami's top night clubs hit by the pandemic.  

We sat to discuss Chris' past. His humble beginnings growing up in  Queens, raised by a single mother on the beat, to being a server at STK  before the world really knew what it would become. To working on Wall Street without a college degree. He studied many of these spots and  gained experience that would one day lead to him owning multiple  restaurants and even his own hotel.  

After 6 years of making miracles happen and living the life many can  only dream of, at the young age of 32, Chris decided to retire. A move  that left many, including his own childhood friends in disbelief. And  fortunately for us, this is where the story truly begins.  

Chris has finally decided to come out of retirement and discuss with the  world his newest game changer... W.A.R.

This week's episode was an honor, something that's been in the making on our end for a hot minute. Thanks to our colorful guest, fam of the show - Stephanos Groutas (@StephGrout), we finally got Mr. Veterans Minimum himself, Nick Dais (@nickdais10) to stop by and join the Purple Cup gang!

Nick is the creator of the long running and well praised show, Veterans Minimum (@VeteransMinimum). Twice a week he gets on there and without fail delivers hard hitting content surrounding sports, sports betting, life and more. 

We dove into his beginnings (after he stunted on us letting the crew know he was 2000+ shows in), the ups and downs of podcasting, what drove him to really get into high gear, becoming part of one of the top creator networks, Blue Wire, and more. We talked NY sports, the impact of betting on fandom, where he sees his show in a few more years, and he joined in on some Purple Cups #BrunchBanter fun.

Joshie's REAL intent behind making it to this episode was none other than this segment... MR. MORALE AND THE BIG STEPPERS!! We go into depth on this AMAZING work of art by the young prophet of our time, Kendrick Lamar. The guys discuss the impact of such art at this point in time, what kept Kenny at bay for so long, how he did when it comes to the "Big 3" and much more. We also get into YSL and their Rico charges as well as hater a** Nick Saban trying to make Deion look bad now that the youth has incentive to go to other colleges outside the big few.

Sometimes we get emotional. We let our anger get the best of us. We make some heated and IGNORANT decisions when our ego is at play... and that's what happened when Meg The Stallion decided to have sex with this midget man thinking he'd write some hits for her and help her crossover. Well, she was wrong and the little man made her dance!!

Over a year after Tory Lanez allegedly shot up Megan's feet she finally breaks her silence with Gail King (we ask on the show what you're all thinking; how is GAIL the motherfu**er who gets to interview the top controversial artists' of our culture???). Meg takes a while to respond when asked if they smashed (obviously they did) and speaks on other horrors of that night, like him telling her "Dance bi**h" while he lit up the sidewalk around her, and more.

DaBaby can't seem to chill the fu** out and we ask; when is he gonna realize this isn't sustainable? Worst part is Rolling Stone Magazine, conveniently, decides to release old footage of Kirk's claimed self-defense case back in 2018 when he killed a young man at a Wal-Mart, and the timing couldn't be any worse or less fishy... Amir Khan's wife decides to bolt on him during a stick up and the internets goes crazy claiming she should've stuck it out with him. Cheddie & Hand look at the other side of what her sticking around would've have led to and question; doesn't ride or die mean for the WHOLE family, not just your significant other?

Ben Simmons decides to evade responsibility and sights "Anxiety" as to why the 50 Million Dollar Man couldn't suit up for his squad in the 4th and possible elimination game of the playoffs, but that wasn't all. Stephen A. Smith decides to take upon himself to tear him down (which he has the right to) and Jamie Foxx comes out the woodwork and tells him to stop bashing our men in front of his family and the masses.

All this is MUCHO MAS!!!

As Joshua is out on paternity leave Cheddie and Handsome pick up the slack in give us their AMAZING points of view this week.

A little reminiscent of our last episode, we now have DJ Envy taking a page out of Will Pinkett's book and letting his wife demolish his manhood, we give our UNBIASED opinions. A man asks his employer to NOT celebrate his birthday due to anxiety issues, they obviously didn't oblige and due to his breakdown he sues... AND WINS! Should he have gotten all that bread? We also jump into Handsome's dark views of BDays.

Gillie clowns Wiz Khalifa in some honest fun and Wiz takes the opportunity to make Gillie seem like a bully by using trigger words, in the process Gillie's account gets banned and Gillie shares some fairly unkind words for him - Philly stand up! Kay Slay passes away at the young age of 55 and we reminisce over his greatness for a bit - and much more!

Slapping Chris Rock shocked us all, especially over the cheapest joke Chris has said. So we try our best to dig deep and see what could have led to this madness.

Significant others and gas expulsion, when in the relationship does it become cool? Or does is not ever? We also speak on the worst mayor New York has ever had and his bi***a**ness when it's come down to "rules" and regulations. And much much more on our path to... EPISODE 100!!!

We kick things off right with a special shout out to the Ukraine and those in pain. Jonathan Cheddie btw) decided he's owed bread by the journalists and media outlets who "wrongfully" mocked him for shooting people... huh?!

Thousands of devout Catholics in Arizona (sh** state dos) are told they aren't REALLY Catholic anymore because a priest was off by one word at their baptism, so Cheddie wants to know what the Catholic King, Guapo Contreras, believes is just in this situation... Charlamagne the Regular Person gets a taste of his own medicine, as people dig up an interview where he pretty much tells Ye to just shut up and dribble instead of pursuing fashion, and now the internets has dubbed him Donkey of The DECADE for his cold a** take. Is they right to attack him, o' is they wrong?? 

Josh gives his Locks of the Week and makes a foolish claim about the Timberwolves and the Dominican Don Karl Anthony Towns, which Handsome rebuttals and.. well just check it out and do your Googles, let's see who got that one correct.

Two cornball podcasters had the internets a blaze as well when they stated in their dating preferences black women were excluded; is not dating a particular race (even if your own) a sign of disrespect? Or do we have the right to like what we like? The guys discuss the whole Antonio Brown incident as well as a man suing the Jets & Giants for falsely claiming to be NY teams while playing in Jersey and causing him emotional stress (why didn't we think of that?!).

Final episode of this WONDROUS year - 2021!!  Of course we know this year was a sh** show in terms of lives lost and  economic treachery (not to mention being mandated left and right and not  much of it making sense), BUT, we are glad to have made it through.  

We greatly appreciate the doors that were opened for us and our show  this year. The amount of love we were shown by not only our friends and  family who supported, but also our listeners who stuck it out with us  during our growth.  

Obviously due to current circumstances we thought it best to enter the  new year safely and at home to protect our loved ones. However, we knew  you guys deserved at LEAST one more go 'round to close out 2021 - we owe  it to you all.

Fresh off the Thanksgiving holiday the world fell upon some not so great news, the passing of visionary Virgil Abloh (September 30, 1980 – November 28, 2021). Picking up right where they left off the guys discuss Urban Meyer and the messiness that happens when they question your work dedication due to at home issues. #BrunchBanter this week had the guys asking if it's a red flag when someone claims to be a shi**y texter or can it really be excusable? Well, it depends according to Handsome, and the worst texter of the cast, Josh, actually agrees that it's a red flag! This week the internet was ablaze when Joyner Lucas finally decided to break his silence and out the infamous Karen Civil (something Cam said yeeears ago) and a mass amount of celebs and organizations came out the wordwork with Karen heat! Cheddie asks the guys if we'd do business with her and Handsome oddly enough responds - it depends.

JD calls out Puff and the results were UGLY when Diddy just went into full Harlem mode on the ATL legendary writer. The internet polls whether or not Drake is Michael Jackson status and Handsome says... FU** NO it does NOT depend. And much more!

Most of the cast is big on fashion and love to delve into brands on the come up. During 718 Day our production assistant Faidh, ran into a young gentleman wearing a fire shirt with the World's Fair Globe on it. He learned that the gentleman was actually the designer of said shirt. They chopped it up for a bit and here we are today, with our esteemed guest Devin Lee (@thadotman) owner of Ambition Worldwide (@ambitionworldwide).

Purple Bagels? WHAT?!! 

We had the privilege this week of stopping by one of the premiere bagel shop's in Queens, Tulip Bagels of Floral Park. Owned by a good friend and young business mogul in the making, Anthony Kelly (@anthonykellyy). Not only did he invite us into his world but he also greeted us with our very own Purple Bagels! And to top it all off he honored us with the new fall addition to his menu "The PCXC", which is an everything bagel loaded with veggie cream cheese, vintage grape jelly from the hills of Tuscany, and extra butter (available every Sunday for the duration of the NFL season, starting September 8th).

Anthony brought us into his world and let us in on how his dream of owning his own bagel shop, which began 20 years ago at the ripe age of 12, all came into fruition. During our show he joined in on some Purple Cup banter, starting with one of his child heroes, ex-governor Andrew Cuomo (Uncle Andy), and how misunderstood most Italians are when showing what they deem as affection.

This week's #BrunchBanter brought with it some interesting insights as to what each of us (now in our 30's) would advise the 20 year olds out there based off our own experience. We talk about Ant's team, The Lakers, bringing in all these old heads and how we feel sports organizations should handle the aging vets on their beloved squads.
