E-motion is energy in motion When you repress an emotion, you stop the energy movement dead in its tracks and it clogs the pathways to health and freedom. What do you do when you feel sad, depressed, frustrated, angry, or fearful? Do you avoid it? Try to cheer yourself up? Do you, or others, make you feel wrong or bad for feeling a certain way? What if you didn’t have to feel or be a certain way in order to be loved and accepted? Would that lift a weight off your shoulders? Repressing emotion causes dis-ease in the body. Releasing emotion, feeling emotion, and expressing emotion in a healthy way creates room for healing.
Our society puts so much emphasis on how smart or intelligent we are - the IQ. If you’re getting good grades, achieving high “success” and reaching some exalted pedestal state that is worthy of your striving, you are celebrated. But this creates a major imbalance between the mind and emotions. Instead, when you boost your EQ, you’ll be able to harmonize with your mind and live a more authentic, connected, deliberate life, bring your gifts to the world without burning out, reduce conflict in our relationships. When your emotions are blocked or repressed, it wreaks havoc in your life and body. Today we’ll dive into the Ayurvedic perspective on emotions and emotional stagnation, how that affects your physiology, how that influences your stress patterns, and negatively impacts your health. It also negatively impacts your mind, preventing you from having clear communication, you end up feeling frustrated, stuck, and stagnant in your work, relationships, not knowing what is true to you. These emotions act as veils to us seeing what is most aligned and supportive for us. So we’ll peel back some of those layers today so you can understand how to transform negative emotions and how to tangibly create inner peace and optimize your health on all levels through this medium of increasing your EQ. Finally, I’ll walk you through a simple 4 step process to transform negative emotions so you can experience more inner freedom.
