The New Year is here and we are all setting resolutions! So why not set some resolutions that include your pets? It will be good for you, good for your pets, and good for your relationship. Plus they can be a lot of fun!

Bring Your Pet to Work Day is June 21st. If you are thinking about bringing your dog to work on this special day, there are a few things you'll need to consider first. Some dogs don't like to be forced into a new environment, or some are fine but will distract you all day. If you have any thoughts that there will be an issue, don't bring your pet into work with you. If you think he or she will do well, then great, listen for my helpful tips on how to prepare for a great day at work!

We all love puppies but if you are thinking of adding a new pup to your household, you want to be sure it is from a rescue or from a good dog breeder, not a puppy mill. Sometimes it can be hard to tell if a puppy is from a puppy mill, so today we talk about the signs and what to look for in a good dog breeder. 

If you work from home, are a student, or just like to occasionally get things done around your house, cats can be a nuisance! Working as pet sitters, we love cats and when we go for visits, all we are there to do is pay attention to them, but we understand the difficulties of trying to get work done at home. Really you just have to figure out what your cats wants and how to provide it in a way that works for you AND your cat. 

Cats can seem pretty baffling to people, even those who live with them. As pet sitters we work with a lot of cats and have to know how to be safe and read their body language. Today we try to demystify cats and give you a few clear signals to watch out for, so you can get along better with all of the cats in your life. 

 Adding a new dog or cat to your household can take time but if you do it right then they will live together much more peacefully than if you rush the process. Today we discuss how to know what is a good fit for your household: a dog, cat, kitten or puppy. We also discuss how best to introduce your new family member to your home so that all of your pets can get along. Spoiler: the key is not to rush the process!
