E. 50 - Meeting People Where They Are | The Fort Smith Crisis Intervention Center
This episode is full of impact and positive light shining on the people who deserve it. Many people in our community do things without any public praise or pats on the back. Especially people who help victims of abuse with private situations. It's not something to be displayed because it's someone's life and their confidentiality is very important. This specific episode shines a light on the wonderful Fort Smith Crisis Intervention Center. Our special guest, Penni Burns, is the CEO of the Crisis Intervention Center. Penni explains more about the organization and how amazing it truly is during our conversation. Penni is a wonderful and gifted person who goes above and beyond for our community and Kelsie was honored to meet her. If you or a loved one have encountered abuse, this episode is very healing and informative. Kelsie encourages everyone to listen with an open heart and remember that we all have different struggles in our lives. Sometimes people have been through incredible amounts of pain and trauma that they do not know any different. "Why didn't they just leave?" is an insensitive approach to someone who has been in an abusive relationship. Penni explains this perspective wonderfully and we are thankful she did. We never truly know what someone else is going through. Life is hard and this world is full of very difficult things, let's try to give grace and put the eyes of Jesus on every day.

Episode 43 - Growing Up With The Host
Today's episode is with Kelsie's older sister, Megan! She is Kelsie's only sibling and they are 5 years apart. Their sibling dynamic was a bit of a unique one growing up. When they were younger they used to fight all of the time. Mainly because Kelsie wanted to live life on the edge doing things she shouldn't be doing and Megan was the protective older sister that just wanted the best for Kelsie. They were both imperfect with problems under the surface that needed to be addressed. Fast forward to their lives now and they are in their 30's, married with kids, and running businesses. Kelsie never thought in a million years that her sister would be a close friend and one that she could tell anything to. Kelsie and Megan are both completely different but offer so much as sisters.
This episode includes lots of super duper embarrassing stories about Kelsie that she has learned to embrace over the years. Her past is what has created her into the person she is today. Kelsie loves being able to use her negative experiences in life to help other people going through the same situations. We hope you enjoy this episode!

Episode 41 - Part 2| I Belong To Christ
Today's episode is Part 2 of Ruben's interview
Episode 40 - I Belong To Christ
Today's episode is part 1 of a 2 part interview with Ruben Lopez. Ruben is a family friend of Kelsie's with an awesome testimony. Please note that Kelsie's microphone was not adjusted perfectly during the interview. This caused her voice to sound like she's sitting in the Bobby Hopper Tunnel. Thankfully Ruben was the one talking the most, so it worked out. Ruben became a part of Kelsie's family only a couple of years ago when he walked into her sister and brother inlaw's church looking for a church to attend after moving to Fort Smith from Oklahoma. They all became good friends and this started the process of their family taking him in as their own. He has a silly sense of humor and is always pranking Kelsie alongside her brother in-law, Mark. Getting him on the podcast with a serious topic was something Kelsie was slightly surprised with. Ruben is the type of guy that you can rarely take seriously because he is always laughing or trying to make others laugh. It was nice to see this serious side of Ruben and to hear his story from his perspective. This was the first time he has ever shared detailed parts of his life. He was in and out of homes with an abusive childhood including drugs, parents in and out of prison, and getting into some hard times himself. He is now living a life for the Lord and trying to embrace everything God places in his path. Please remember that this episode is just the beginning of his testimony, Part 2 will air next week and will explain the rest of his story and how Ruben found Christ. We hope you enjoy this episode!
Episode 39 - 32 Kids and Counting | A Foster Mom Story
Today's episode is with Leslie Lee. Leslie and her husband opened their home to foster care right after they got married. Their story is really incredible and sheds light on the foster care system. They have had a total of 32 foster care children in their home and have adopted 4 of those children. Leslie and her husband have been obedient in their calling and have trusted God to open and close all of the doors in their lives. It's truly inspirational to hear their story.

Episode 35 - Releasing Expectations (Part 1)
This week's episode is part 1 of Kelsie's interview with Miranda Marie. Miranda has been a long time friend of Kelsie's for about 12 years. She is a beauty salon owner and hair stylist. Miranda and Kelsie have worked together on and off on business projects throughout the years. The reason Kelsie asked Miranda on the show was to share her life story as well as a recent story of an encounter with Jesus only a week after telling God she was done with him. She stepped foot into Easter Church service for the first time in years and after experiencing the Holy Spirit, she made a post on Facebook describing the story. Kelsie reached out to hear more but to also encourage her to not give up seeking this new healing journey. Miranda, like many people, has experienced difficulties in the church and trusting Christians. Kelsie's goal was to acknowledge that how Miranda is feeling is normal and that she doesn't need to put any heavy expectations on herself. Miranda has also suffered from chronic back pain for several years. In this episode, Miranda and Kelsie discuss many different topics related to mental health, addiction, being a business owner, and Faith. We won't get to the main Easter story until Part 2, but Part 1 is filled with lots of good talk. We hope you enjoy this episode.

They have both made major changes over the years including their relationship with Christ. Jesse shares his testimony and answers questions from viewers. Jesse and Kelsie are not your typical surface level couple...enjoy the realness!

Episode 24 - Photographers: The Untold Truth
Today's episode is about the Untold Truths in the service industry, from a photographer perspective. When people have never worked in a service industry they don't really understand the ins and outs of what goes behind it. Being a small business owner and working for yourself definitely has it's perks when it comes to creating your own schedule, but it is extremely difficult at times. Most businesses, especially during the pandemic, walk on thin ice daily to keep their clients happy and to not "rock the boat", even if that means not sticking up for themselves. One bad review could destroy a business, and as photographers, we are constantly on high alert to make sure we don't upset a client and possibly lose our business. We hope this episode gives a solid understanding to others of how important grace is. This goes both ways! Our goal was to shed light on some topics that aren't easy to discuss. Hopefully it helps people understand both perspectives and to also help other small business owners feel like they aren't alone.
