Robyn Chuter || Creating Space for Inquisitive Awareness

Robyn Chuter is a well accredited and widely respected Naturopath living and working in Queensland Australia.

In a previous interview, Robyn told us about how our immune system works, its connection and influence with the complex gut microbiome, and the importance of eating a healthy whole foods plant based diet to maintain good health.  In this video we look back and evaluate the effectiveness of lockdowns and mandates, and consider the connection between what’s going on in Australia and the larger picture of what’s happening in, and what’s planned for, the rest of the world.

Anita Krajnc is formerly a professor of Political Studies at Queens University in Kingston, but she’s better known as the co-founder of Toronto Pig Save, an organization that bears witness to animals in their final moments as they approach slaughterhouses. Since 2010 the Animal Save Movement has become a global phenomenon, with 1000 chapters in many different countries, and it includes Climate Save, Youth Climate Save, and Health Save chapters in addition to Animal Save.  The collective mission of the Animal Save Movement is to spread the idea that we all have a moral duty to bear witness, end animal agriculture, and reforest the Earth.  In 2019 Anita was named one of Toronto’s most inspirational women, and she is here today to tell us about the Climate Save Movement’s new Plant Based Treaty project.

Justin Douglas: Fairy Creek, The Last Stand

Justin Douglas is Managing Director at Just In Canada, an independent, alternative media platform and youtube channel that gives voice to innovators, community activists, educators, and other involved, informed Canadians.  Recently, Justin released a documentary called Fairy Creek: The Last Stand.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-DitozPh98&t=0s

Fairy Creek: The Last Stand (Documentary Film)  In less than 150 years, 97.3% of British Columbia's old growth forests have been logged. These ancient trees and their ecosystems have been lost forever. Fairy Creek (Ada'itsx), one of BC's last untouched old growth watersheds, lies on Southern Vancouver Island on the unceded territories of the Pacheedaht, Ditidaht and the Huu-ay-aht Nations. Despite Premier John Horgan's 2020 election promise to protect the remaining 2.7% of old growth forest, logging of Fairy Creek continues unabated. In August 2020, forest and land defenders began setting up blockades to prevent the destruction of this beautiful and fragile ecosystem. One year later, after mass civil action, over 500 arrests and intense public pressure, the conflict continues. This comprehensive and compelling documentary film sheds light on the issues around the logging and blockades, through conversations with Indigenous Elders, politicians, police, lawyers, front line activists, and many others.

Robyn Chuter is a university-qualified health practitioner, she earned a Bachelor of Health Science (and the Dean's Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement) from the University of New England, a Bachelor of Health Science with First Class Honours from Edith Cowan University, and a Diploma of Naturopathy from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies.  In addition, Robyn is a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, she holds a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and has Level 3 EFT Practitioner and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner accreditations.

Robyn opened her own naturopathic practice in 1995, and quickly developed an interest in chronic, medically 'incurable' health problems such as IBS, CFS, migraine, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

(The first 50 minutes are radio friendly - due to the current climate of censorship about that which is controversial - and Ruben kindly stayed on and shared her educated opinions about how we might best proceed into a cautious but healthy vegan future for all.)
