Please Don't Kick Me Out - Episode 59 - Featuring ADHD Expert and Coach, Diann Wingert
Diann Wingert is a former psychotherapist turned coach, that specializes in helping women entrepreneurs. Her bread and butter are ADHD and neurodiversity. As a person with ADHD, and also a woman who has passed it onto her children, she has found a niche market of women who feel that they need to apologize for their accommodations and accolades. While I have a blanket statement on "NO  LIFE COACHES" these days, I am only half kidding. This type of coaching is absolutely necessary and needed. Diann and I have a great talk, which is a bit more off the cuff than my normal interviews. WE HAVE MERCH! Courtesy of Yay! GraphicDesign, and our second ever guest, Lara! Thank you! When things like this happen to our fellow content creators, we cheer them on. So it is very timely to share this, to help cheer on someone who is finding their right path in life. Through performing drag she was able to find her true calling, and start the transition a year and a half ago to find her authentic self. Both share a story of coming into themselves in a new environment, as well as their unique perspective on how we should be approaching life. Please Don't Kick Me Out - Episode 42 - Featuring Writer, Eddie Mcnamara
Eddie McNamara wrote an article about imposter syndrome, which is how he came on my radar. As a columnist for Health Central, his imposter syndrome flares up when he sometimes feels like he has 0 business giving anyone advice. He is an author, a chef, a writer, and would subscribe to none of those notions if you asked him. He is also a former first responder. We had a great chat, and I am thrilled to share this for 2021. Please Don't Kick Me Out - Episode 32 - Featuring UX/Graphic Designer, Julia

Bonus Episode: Dang, my two states are on fire AGAIN!
Bonus Episode 9: DANG MY TWO STATES ARE ON FIRE AGAIN!! Yep, this bonus episode is dedicated to wildfire relief in Northern California and the high country of Colorado. I'm from Colorado and have extended family in California. While I live down south in San Diego, I still hate that my new state is on fire, as well as my home state.  My friend Sarah Hoffman and I have known one another since 2016. Within the last year she moved to the high country of Colorado, where she has happily enjoyed the mountain life. Sarah is fortunately safe from the wildfires; however, the mountains have been desecrated yet again. Sarah has felt imposter syndrome in her career, as well as moving to a new city. I am really excited to share this interview, as she's an awesome person. Imposter syndrome impacts everyone differently. If this podcast helps one person, then we have done our job! Bonus Episode: Podcasts on Podcasts featuring Zander Stone from Recollections Podcast
Bonus Episode 8: Podcasts on Podcasts Featuring Zander Stone from "Recollections Podcast" Zander interviewed me for his podcast in May of this year, and I've been sitting on this interview. We decided to cross-promote, and this week seemed like the perfect time to release it as a bonus. I was recently featured on another podcast called 2Rich2Miss, and I felt like releasing this episode to promote both of these things was a fantastic idea. Zander's podcast Recollections likes to tell a story through the eyes of the guest, and it's really great. My episode can be painful to listen to or hear, but it's my story none the less. You can find that here: https://therecollectionspodcast.com/season-2-1 Zander has felt imposter syndrome throughout his career, going from acting to podcast and sound engineering.  The other podcast, 2Rich2Miss is a podcast that has pivoted to discussing becoming the best version of yourself in a pandemic. Bonus Episode: It's a New School Year?
Bonus Episode 7: For this bonus episode, I am pairing it to an interview I did with my friend Liz, who I went to elementary school with. Liz is an educator in Colorado, and at the time of this interview, had no idea what the school year was going to look like. She has been onboarded for a new school year now virtually, so I felt this was relevant to release. A school among a pandemic? Just how much damage will this do to our kiddos. What's next, and is virtually learning helpful? I am grateful for the educators like Liz who really care about their students, and want them to succeed.  As this is a podcast about imposter Syndrome, I want to remind everyone that it impacts everyone in a different way. Liz felt it in teaching, and in trying to fit in with her other educator peers. Imposter syndrome can sneak up in insidious ways, but you will find once she found her calling it backed down a bit. I am excited to share her story. Bonus Episode: Featuring Step Mom and Military Spouse, Jane Doe
This episode is being released in honor and dedication to the 9 lives lost during a training accident off the coast of California on July 30, 2020. 7 marines, and 1 sailor were lost during a training event. It has been nearly 48 hours since I have spoken to my husband, and while I know he is safe, the sadness I feel for those families that lost their loved ones is immeasurable. When something in the military happens, you don't feel overjoyed that your loved one is safe, you feel the loss just as much as they do. This is the reality of having a loved one in the military, and one that we work so hard to forget. The not so glamorous side to the danger and peril they endure. The duty and sacrifices that my sailor makes for our country are commendable and honorable. I am so proud of my husband every single day. This is my first anonymous episode due to the nature of the content at hand. My guest has requested to remain anonymous, and I am respecting her wishes. Jane Doe feels a considerable amount of imposter syndrome in being a stepmom to her son, and a wife to someone in the military. Imposter syndrome impacts all of us in a different way, and I hope that you find this story helpful if you are struggling with this. Bonus Episode: Activism Still Matters!
Bonus Episode 3: ACTIVISM STILL MATTERS! I am releasing this episode in light of recent events. I just want to remind everyone that Black Lives Still Matter! In Portland, things are getting quite scary, as private police are terrorizing protestors. Trump is using Portland as a test city. I have said it before, and I will say it again: if black lives do not matter, then neither do all. Activism is incredibly important right now, as I have seen a stark fall off on people talking about the movement among my timeline. One person in particular though, has not. Rachel Mercer is my guest for this bonus episode, and we met through our local community group on Facebook. We clicked immediately, and are two white women who want equality for all. We continue to educate, inform, and stay abreast of the information. Bonus Episode: WE ARE STILL IN A PANDEMIC, So Wear Your Mask, Goddamn It!
Are we all pretending this is over, or can we stop acting like toddlers and try and flatten the curve? America, I know it's your birthday and all tomorrow, but can we agree to disagree over how some of ya'll been acting? Let's stop complaining about our freedoms, and not being able to do things, and try and keep ourselves and other safe. This bonus episode is about COVID. My friend Marianne Halloran, a data scientist, has been tracking COVID-19 since DECEMBER. I interviewed her on April 15, 2020 --- what she said then still resonates now, except WE ARE STILL IN THIS. We discuss being a foreigner in America, feeling like you don't deserve what you earn, and being a female in the science world. As a data scientist for Bio, I respect the FUCK out of her. She is an amazing person, with so many good things to say. I am proud to be her friend. Imposter syndrome impacts everyone in a different way, and I love to tell my guest's stories. Please Don't Kick Me Out - Episode 1 - Featuring Tattoo Artist, Christina Ayers
For the first episode of Please Don't Kick Me Out, I interviewed Christina Ayers, a fine artist and tattoo artist based out of Ocean Beach, San Diego. She currently works at Last Days Tattoo Parlor, but frequently takes guest spot residencies around the country. We talk about COVID-19, imposter syndrome, why The Beatles are overrated, and more. It was a fun conversation, and I am excited to share it with you! She is currently interested in scar coverage and encourages you to reach out to her if this is something of interest for the future.
