In this episode, I chat with Camille Longley on her graphic novel "Lampback." Lampblack is a comic inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle), The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Fantastic Beasts. We talk a lot about the graphic novel and the motivations behind protagonists. It was a very fun chat.

In this second episode of the Superman: Red and Blue series, I cover the second story of the comic miniseries, 'A Measure of Hope' in which Superman meets a young man grieving for his mother's death. Both Superman and the young man find trauma, sadness, and healing as latter reflects on the impact both Superman and his mother had on him.

In this first episode of the Superman: Red and Blue series, I cover the first story of the comic miniseries, 'Untitled' in which Clark Kent reminisces about his ordeal at the hands of the ruthless Colonel Nikolai Koslov while captured in the Soviet Country of Lubania. This was a very grounded and powerful Superman story.

In the seventh episode of Season 3, I review Mad Cave Studios Nottingham #1 which is the retelling of the Robin Hood folklore. The roles of hero and villain are told in reverse. The Sheriff of Nottingham is the protagonist who is investigating a slew of tax collector murders carried out by the Hood (Robin Hood) and his band of Merry Men. This is the first episode of the second season of the Earth-16 Comics Wire Podcast. In this episode, I will be discussing the graphic novel Batman V. Deathstroke, This is one of my favorite arcs which was written by Christopher Priest (Black Panther) and illustrated by Carlo Pagulayan, Ed Benes, Robert Viacava, Jason Paz, Richard Friend, Trevor Scott, and Andy Owens.
I normally do not talk about social issues but due to what has been going on these past few weeks, I was reminded of the powerful comic Green Lantern/Green Arrow #76-No Evil Shall Escape My Sight. The comic was written by Denny O'Neil and Drawn by Neal Adams. Here's a rare commentary on a very important issue involving what the late Stan Lee calls the social ills in the world today: racism and bigotry.
On this 16th Episode of the Earth-16 Comics Wire, we are going to look at The Walking Dead origin story Here's Negan. I will talk about the story as well as the character of Negan (Pre-Walking Dead and Walking Dead).

I give my own take on Tom King's DC Comic Graphic Novel Heroes In Crisis. I discuss the Sanctuary, Booster Gold vs Harley Quinn, the moral aspects surrounding the controversy of Sanctuary, and the confessional sessions of the heroes. This was one of my favorite graphic novels.
In this 14th Episode, I delve into the Nigeria's iconic superhero Guardian Prime. This one is a little personal since I am an American who is part Nigerian and I feel that reading Guardian Prime has helped me learn a little bit about my background. Please note constant listeners, I might mispronounce some Nigerian words since I do not know too much of that part of my background nor have I been to Nigeria.
