Today I got an Amazon delivery of 2 new microphones. The RODE PODMIC which retails for about $99 most places I've seen it. Its supposed to give a radio broadcast sound to your voice. So lets give it a test drive and see.
Then I'm joined by York Campbell from the Poetic Earthlings podcast. His show is done in the narrative style, with sound effects and clips throughout each episode. We talked about podcasting and how we both enjoy doing it. https://poeticearthlings.com/
After running multiple interviews and shows on my old PC, it ate up the audio on our last interview we did. We record all our interviews via Cleanfeed and this was not their fault. Our computer has been running extremely hot and glitchy. We've ran into this problem before where the audio sounds good as you record it, but the track would have corrupted sound. And that is what happened to us. Our last interview, on the last half of it, our side of the audio went bad. In this episode I tell you how I was able to fix the interview and fix the computer.
This is my 20th Episode here on Podtastic Audio. A small milestone in this podcasting journey. This episode I'm joined by both cofounders of Cleanfeed, Marc Bakos and Mark Hills. They joined me from London UK, have a passion for high quality audio, and a extensive background in audio production. Enjoy this episode as I get to talk to the very guys that have created the one podcasting tool I rave about the most.
This week I talk about review swaps and how they are completely dishonest. Recently I've had a few different podcasters reach out and ask if I would do a review swap on Apple Podcasts. Without even asking if I would be interested in their type of show. Review swaps are a bad idea because its totally fake. Reviews do not increase you in the Apple charts, they only make you feel good. Wouldn't you rather feel better knowing you got an actual honest review instead of a fake one?
Thanks so much for listening!
Leave me an Honest Review on Apple
This week I'm joined by Dr. Kristine. As a fellow podcaster and my cohost on The Kris and Kristine Show, she has some first hand experience in podcast content. We discuss how to structure your podcast in a way to keep your show fresh. Then we talk about how Apple has unveiled a new way to make money with your podcast. Would you charge your listeners to play your podcast?
Please reach out on Twitter, Instagram
This episode I find out that Twitter has rolled out its Twitter Spaces to the public to use. I think its a fantastic place to try podcasting on a micro level. If you have a Twitter account, you should give it a try. Then later I'm joined by Juleen Moreno of the It Goes Down in the PM podcast. We talk all about her podcast and her marketing company. https://www.momisalwayswrite.com/
And to sprinkle in a little fun we play the movie trivia game! Play at home and see how you do:-)
This episode I share how we on The Kris and Kristine Show use our social media to help grow our podcast. Social media can be a very useful tool to share your show and meet other podcasts in your genre. Podcasting is about 20% creating the actual show, and 80% promoting it. Show promotion can be done a variety of ways. But no matter what, be consistent. That is how you will grow. So keep on making fantastic podcasts and I cant wait to hear them!
This week I dive into the content of your show. I came across 13 tips to make your podcast more entertaining to listen to. You want your show to be a fun place to listen, and return back for future episodes. Whatever you do, just don't be boring. Create the show that you would want to listen to.
If you have a podcast and would like to be a featured guest, email firstname.lastname@example.org
This fun Bonus Episode was recorded a few weeks ago with my stepson Ezekiel aka ZEKE. He loves music, mma, podcasting, talking, and a variety of things. He wanted to do a fun episode together so here it is. Enjoy!
Find out what your listeners want by running a survey. On the Google drive section, look up forms. There you will find templates designed to create a survey for free. The data you get back will help you to know who your listeners are and what they want you to talk about. All feedback is good feedback. Create a better show for your subscribers.
This week I'm joined by the hosts of SpyHards Podcast, Scott & Cam https://www.spyhards.com/
Agent Scott Hardy
Whilst little is known about this relatively new agent, what is for certain is that he relies more on luck than skill. Hailing from London, England, Scott is mostly likely to be found at the local pub drinking an appletini and trying to convince people that George Lazenby is underrated. Before his most recent assignment to the SpyHards podcast he taught Baccarat-flirting and last-minute-bomb-defusing at the British Intelligence Academy. We are reliably informed he fancies himself as a bit of a ladies man. The ladies disagree.

Agent Cam Smith
A near life-long 007 fanatic, whose life was irrevocably changed watching Roger Moore snowboard to a cheap Beach Boys cover, British Columbia native Cam Smith loves nothing more than watching classic cinema and then manufacturing excuses to talk or write about it. While his career as an importer-exporter of rare antiquities can be action-packed, in addition to SpyHards he also finds time to co-host the long running Star Trek podcast Subspace Transmissions, as well as the Schwarzenegger film discussion show Arniegeddon. Also, Cam once tried tap-dancing in Rosa Klebb knife-shoes. It didn’t end well.

Thanks for joining me this week. Promote your podcast everywhere, including social media. A-B-P, always be posting. Social Media is like a free place to advertise you show. Using hashtags like #podcast #podcasting #podcastshow and others. The more times you promote the more times you have the potential to reach new listeners, while keeping the ones you have.

With my guest Dustin from Sandman Stories Presents Podcast. https://anchor.fm/sandman-stories. Tired but can't fall asleep? Best listened to during work, during commutes, when you are trying to fall asleep, or any time that you need a calm friend to read to you. Enjoy!
His podcast is stories to make you fall asleep to. A podcaster that wants you to fall asleep listening to his show.

Today I take a dive into micro-podcasting. Which are short podcast episodes that are usually 10 minutes or less in length. I am joined by Wifey, the host of Chicken Mind Nuggets Podcast https://www.chickenmindnuggets.com/. The bi-weekly micro-podcast combining mindfulness, transformation, and science as food for thought throughout your day. This podcast started as an idea to share some of the concepts that she loves to talk about in hopes that you can take away some mind nuggets for your mental repertoire. Each episode is designed to be under 10 minutes, so you can listen to them and digest them throughout your day.
This week I'm joined by Keona Tang from https://anchor.fm/renegadepopculture. His podcast is a variety show covering all types of interesting topics in the pop culture world. Podcasting can be fun, and in this episode we'll find out that the Renegade Pop Culture podcast can be more than just one show. Its many different shows in one. Then later we play the Movie Trivia game where I play clips from movies and our guests have to tell me what movie that clip is from. All thanks to Cleanfeed Pro. www.cleanfeed.net
Thanks so much for listening and if you would like to be a featured podcaster, email me at email@example.com.

Here in this episode I share how we are able to create the cleanest sound for our podcast interviews. We use Cleanfeed. https://cleanfeed.net/ It will give you highly clean audio across the web in real time. Clean audio was the main purpose for which Cleanfeed was created. On the Kris and Kristine Show, we use Cleanfeed to record a variety to different guests. www.krisandkristineshow.com On this episode I share 5 different clips from 5 different podcast episodes to show you the audio quality when using Cleanfeed.

This is part 1 of Editing. We will cover a few basic tools in Audacity to help you edit your podcast. Trimming, Silencing, Noise Reduction, and the Undo button. (Best feature of all.)
