Clients appreciate her analytical and precise approach to moving and organizing spaces.  Amy received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia before attending Southern Methodist University Deadman School of Law for her Juris Doctor. She is currently a member of the New York Bar. In addition, Amy is a Licensed Realtor in Florida and is a hands-on property manager. Prior to joining LeFrak, Taylor spent six years leading the sales and marketing team of a privately held New York based real estate portfolio valued at $1.2 billion. Having acted as a consultant and agent for three of New York's premier real estate management companies, Taylor is highly skilled at identifying and executing the objectives of investors, developers and private owners.  Originally from New York’s Finger Lakes region, Taylor now resides in downtown Sarasota and holds a BA in English from the University of Rochester and is actively involved with its Alumni Association. Karen Harmon is the General Manager and COO of the Sarasota Yacht Club.  Her responsibility is extensive, overseeing the operations of an award-winning culinary team, a 110 slip marina, a fitness center, pool, many watersports offerings including youth sailing, a private event venue and of course a private social club.  The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association recently awarded the Sarasota Yacht Club with a Seal of Commitment, FRLA's highest designation for hospitality safety and sanitation standards.  The Seal of Commitment is a promise that your restaurant or hotel meets safety and sanitation standards as designated by FRLA.  Awarded establishments have invested resources to ensure that the location, staff, and guests remain safe and healthy.  In this conversation, Karen shares the practices that have been put in place to ensure good health and safety for members, staff and guests as well as some general discussion about the club and her personal and professional background.  Without further adieu please enjoy this conversation with Karen Harmon.

Timothy Clarke, Chairman of Gulfside Bank, has been a founding director of two area community banks. He was an organizer of Sarasota Bank which sold in 2003 to Colonial Bank and of Insignia Bank which was sold in 2017 to Stonegate Bank.  His professional career has been in marketing and branding. He founded Sarasota-based Clarke Advertising & Public Relations in 1987 and held it until 2005, selling the firm to his managing partners. Prior to that, he held management positions with Tropicana Products and Chris-Craft.  In addition to the two banks, Tim has served on the boards of the Tervis Tumbler Company and FCCI Insurance Companies. He currently is on the board of SAGA Communications, a publicly-traded company and he chairs its audit committee.  Tim is very involved in community affairs and is past Chair of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and former chair of the Sarasota Season of Sculpture. Andrew is trained as an architect and has devoted his lifes work to urban design.  His passion is energizing cities and reducing suburban sprawl through effective design.  Andrew graduated with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Miami in 2000 and 2001 before working with some of the most brilliant leaders in the urban design industry.  Andrew is presently working with Plusurbia Design on various projects around the world.  In this conversation, we speak about designing cities to be on a human scale that promotes physical health, mental health and a sense of loving the city that you live in.  We also spoke about some local nuances relating to the work Andrew has done for the CIty of Sarasota and discussed how Sarasota relates to other cities in Florida such as St. Petersburg and Miami.  If you enjoy pondering the systems and structures of cities, transit and overall wellbeing, this thought-provoking conversation is for you!
