The 4 C's of Education-and a Fifth!
What exactly does “21st Century Learning” even look like in the classroom? Is it more Makerspaces, Flipped Learning, Genius Hour, project based learning, or even Gamification? Perhaps you have your own definition. Regardless, to me at least, all these teaching practices have the potential to disrupt the traditional, teacher-centered education by giving students more voice in how they learn. Students are taking ownership of their learning. Teachers are no longer the “Sage on the stage”. The 4 C’s are all about students making authentic learning experiences that will have meaningful contributions to their worlds.

Digital Citizenship
Mindful Movement
Have you heard? Sitting is the new smoking. What are students expected to do everyday? Research shows students need movement. Movement and learning are connected. Students need inviting, flexible, open, engaging, and flexible classroom environments that are conducive to learning. Purposeful movement and active student-centered instruction increases student engagement, helps students stay on-task, reduces classroom management issues, and improves students' memory and concentration.
