Press X To PodcastMar 17, 2018
7.7: Swolena Gomez
Dune 2 popcorn bucket - we're talking about it. Also video games like Unicorn Overlord and yes, still Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
7.6: Madame Web Watch Party
Madame Web is worth seeing for under $5, but make no mistake: it's baaaaad. We also talk about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth now that the public can play it.
7.5: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Review
An embargo lifted, so we talk about how Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth fits into the broader mythos of the series. Also, Helldivers 2 is still a great time AND breaking servers.
7.4: An Xbox Nothing Burger
The magical Xbox reveal revealed precisely nothing we haven't been saying on this podcast for YEARS, and James mysteriously teases the content of our next episode. Meanwhile, Rhett couldn't find Colt 45 (the beverage) at the store and that's wildly unacceptable.
7.3: VR Love Is Real Love
It's mostly tangents, as usual, but also mostly impressions of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Is the title a misnomer? Probably not. James also gets into the ... pitfalls? of VR based ... entertainment.
7.2: Chinese Food Near Me
HA! We win, Google SEO. Chinese food near me is ACTUALLY a podcast episode about video games like Death Stranding 2, Foamstars, Judas, and more.

7.1: The Gamening Begineth
Lucky season 7 of the cast kicks off with a look forward. What does 2024 hold? Probably fewer amazing banger games than in '23, honestly, but there are definitely signs of life. We talk about it all!
6.18: Game of the Year 2023
What's to know? We argue about the best games of the year and come up with a DEFINITIVE top ten list. What wins? Does Gollum top the list? Maybe.
6.17: The Game Awards Debacle
The Game Awards garnered serious heat this year, for hardly any of the right reasons. We talk about the highs and lows, but also a bunch of great games: Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Wonder, and more!
6.16: Best Superhero Game Ever
Spider-Man 2! We talk about it. It's great. AC Mirage? Not so much. Elsewhere, Forza Motorsport is right around a seven on our patented 3 point scale.
6.15: An October More October Than Most
We talk about some things that are happening like Starfield maybe not being QUITE as expansive as we thought, Cyberpunk 2077 finally getting to the state it should have launched in, Baten Kaitos for some reason, and October. 2023 has been ridiculous, and October isn't slowing down. Pray for us and our eyeballs.
6.14: Walgreens' MLB Team and Star Things
It's all stars this time out, with extensive discussion of Starfield and Sea of Stars. Starfield is mid AF but still addictive and fun for RPG fans, while Sea of Stars is a brilliant example of making what's old new again.
6.13: Human Pez Dispenser
Rhett continues to berate James until he gets Baldur's Gate 3 on PC. Meanwhile, James played Immortals of Aveum (it rips) and The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood (also rips), and Paul 'played' Fort Solis (it does not rip).
6.12: Canadian Shield Culture
James fondly reminisces about classy purple bags that can hold golf balls, cash, and occasionally adult beverages. Rhett likes Baldur's Gate a whole bunch. Paul and James can't talk about their games, but think FF XVI is swell and Starfield damn well better be.
6.11: Press XVI to Fantasy, Finally
So Final Fantasy XVI happened, and the fellas are mighty impressed. To quote one podcaster, "Game of the last few years". And he might be right, we spend this entire podcast discussing how and why FF XVI works, and inevitably plan for a spoilercast in the future.
6.10: Xbox Showcase Reactions
Now it's Xbox's turn to show off cool stuff like Fable, Forza, and a bunch of videos that might eventually turn into games like Bioclockwork.
6.9: PlayStation Showcase Reactions
We discuss all the cool and uncool things about the PlayStation Showcase 2023. Spider-Man 2? Great! Phantom Blade Zero? A nice surprise! PSVR 2? Sad trombone. Join Paul and James for all their well formed opinions.
6.8: So, Zelda Happened
Unfortunately, Redfall also happened. It's the good and the bad, and the bad is also the ugly, but the good is PROBS game of the year? Maybe.
6.7: Where Money?
Can Xbox get a solid W someday? For gaming's sake, please use that infinite cashflow to NOT F it up for once.
6.6: Put a Thing On It!
It's videogames and stuff, what more are you looking for?
6.5: SpiderMan vs. Starfield, Lock It In
Destiny 2 Lightfall, PSVR2, and more Octopath Traveler 2 are rocking - or something - our worlds. Also, we're calling it - Starfield and SpiderMan 2 will go head to head this fall.
6.4: The Bill O'Reilly Files
Octopath Traveler 2 and some video game stuff, but more importantly we were doin' it live.
6.3: Reggie! NOOOOOOOOO!
The Nintendo Direct consumes our discussion because heck, there was just so much good stuff! Elsewhere, James talks about Octopath Traveler 2, and Paul think Kirby's Return to Dreamland could be a sleeper hit. But will the Switch GBA project finally give us an English Mother 3 release? Nope. Not if Reggie has anything to say about it.
6.2: The Post PT Era
We're just fools living in a post PT era where scary stuff is more boring than scary. But HiFi Rush is surprisingly delightful.
6.1: We Know How To Podcast, OK
We're back for another year of casting our opinions out into the ether, in pod form. Paul, Rhett, and James talk about Elden Ring, Fire Emblem Engage, and preview the year in gaming. Spoiler: it might be a gooooood one.
5.18: The Best Games of 2022
We decide on a top ten, and we promise, it doesn't go as you're expecting. We get weird up in here. Opinions are created, changed, destroyed, and rebuilt repeatedly in the space of seconds.
5.17: 2022's Best Games of the Last 2 Weeks
It's exactly what the title says. Game of the year? Forget it. At least until next time ;)
5.16: Some Developers Apparently Aren't
We played God of War Ragnarok, Pokemon, and more, and were shocked how clunky a game from a bazillion dollar franchise can be. The game is rad as hell though.
5.15: The Episode That Got Left Unpublished
Hey what can we say. This is an excellent, insightful, and mostly also excellent podcast from the day before Dad of Boy 2 came out. We just... didn't publish it. It's great though. You should listen to it repeatedly.
5.14: The First One We Did Live
HEY WE WERE LIVE AND TALKING ABOUT THE VIDEO GAMES. Bayonetta 3, NHL 23, Splatoon 3, AC Valhalla, AND MORE.
5.13: Henry Cavill Is My Witcher
What? No, no, you're mistaken, we didn't go on a massive hiatus because the job market was in turmoil. Oh, we did? Yeah you're right. Anyway, we still play HOT new games like Middle Earth: Shadow of War and Session: Skate Sim. Meanwhile, Rhett got a party light and modded The Witcher 3 until it was held together by a single Dandelion song and the hopes of the Skelligan people.
5.12: Driving Off Into The Forza Horizon
Slap on your virtual mustaches for heavy discussion of Top Gun Maverick, but also video games like Live A Live, Shredder's Revenge, Gran Turismo 7 (which is better now), and much much more!
5.11: Diablo Immoral
Diablo Immortal is exactly as slimy as you feared, and then some more just to be sure. Elsewhere we discuss State of Play, the upcoming not-E3, and games like Mario Strikers Battle League.
5.10: Everything's Good
Everything's good this time with Trek to Yomi, Shredder's Revenge, and of course Sniper Elite 5. We also hear Rhett's pipes.

5.9: Factory Fresh Salt
Let the salt flow free as the hottest takes on earth land directly in your ear holes. Lego Star Wars is the bomb, Elden Ring seems to have no end, and the game pass has games, be they good or not.
5.8: Press X To Pachinko
Games and what not as Paul finally plays Elden Ring, James wears a Tunic, and Rhett's getting ULTRA wide! And a new business opportunity?

5.7: Moist Mouth Feel
This episode feels good in the mouth and also on the ears with Forza Horizon 5 as played by a racing noob, GT7, Destiny 2, Tiny Tina, and More! Subscribe on Apple: https://ift.tt/omQW2wZ Google: https://ift.tt/l7KYVfA
5.6: Furry Sonic Sticks
Some crazy marketing intern decided furry controllers are a good idea, and we're here to discuss the merits of that. Also, Elden Ring has taken over, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is delightful, and WWE 2k22 doesn't totally suck!
5.5: Have You Heard of the Civic?
Gran Turismo 7 is a fantastic racing game, but it also treats you like you couldn't possibly know what a car is. Elsewhere, the fellas attempt to resist the pull of Elden Ring, and there's no better time to get back into Destiny 2 with The Witch Queen.
5.4: Red
Listen to the end if you wanna know why this is called Red. Hint: OH YEAH!
Also, Horizon Forbidden West rules, Cyberpunk 2077 kinda doesn't suck now, and your nostalgia will need ALL the pixels in FF6 Pixel Remaster. Also also I straight up forgot to publish this a couple weeks ago. Oops.
5.3: Plant Based Shampoo & Soap
This episode isn't actually about soap, it's about Rhett's solution to every problem in Dying Light 2. We also talk about Grid Legends and Pokemon while not talking about Horizon Forbidden West yet. Meanwhile, we ponder the difference between Sonic and Richard Nixon.
5.2: Pokemon Whips Ass, Though
Game Freak is changing the rules of engagement for Pokemon games, and we talk about why Pokemon Legends Arceus is the update the series desperately needed. Meanwhile, Rhett keeps up the yearly tradition of playing important games a month too late by playing Inscryption, and Paul goes back in time a few years to revisit Horizon Zero Dawn. Oh, and the Microsoft money dumptruck fleet backed up to Activision HQ, and you know we've got thoughts about that.
5.1: Ubisoft Gumbo
We're mixing up a big 'ol batch of Ubisoft Gumbo, where games like Far Creed 6: Assassin's Cry are a thing. There are real games too, though, with Halo Infinite, Windjammers 2, and Solar Ash on the docket alongside a barrel full of news! Join us for a rip roarin' good time as we begin season 5 of Press X To Podcast: Face 2.0.

4.22: The Random Awards 2021: The Best Games For The Strangest Reasons
There's a new awards show on the block, and it's exactly what we need. How, you might ask? On this show, the categories aren't set. We make them up, specifically to call out certain games for certain reasons. Confused yet? So are we. In any case, we give out a bunch of random video game awards to recognize some of the weird and cool stuff we saw in 2021.
4.21: 12 - 20 Diet Cokes, Daily
Did you know that Diet Coke is not, in fact, a replacement for water? John Daly doesn't believe it, and it leads to a quick discussion of PGA 2k21. More importantly, we discuss the Animal Crossing DLC, Call of Duty Vanguard, GTA: The Trilogy: Definitive Edition, Pokemon Brilliant Pearl, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Some of them are at least good, while some are great. Meanwhile, Elden Ring looks kinda rad, Halo Infinite drops in surprisingly, and we talk Game of the Year plans.
4.20: Narco Piñatas
Deathloop, Metroid Dread, and Forza Horizon 5 are three of the best games of the year, while Mario Party Superstars is a shrug emoji and Fallout 76 is still fundamentally broken despite all the updates and improvements. Meanwhile, the N64 games on Switch are not good, and Ubisoft bullies people who bail on Far Cry 6.
4.19: Xbox Fridge Full of G-Fuel
We discuss the cultural influence of the Xbox Mini Fridge, and like good gamers, not a one of us even bothered to watch the Suicide Squad trailer. Anyway, we talk a lot about Metroid Dread, NHL22, Back 4 Blood, and the OLED Switch.
4.18: Captain Morgan's Rumpkin Spice
Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Halo Infinite, WRC 10, and Disgaea 6 among other nonsense like force feedback technology, rap sheets, and pumpkin flavoured stuff that doesn't actually suck.
4.17: Marvel's Charles
With Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 on the way, what else might Insomniac working on? Our money is on Charles. Meanwhile, there's a new Life is Strange game, Bus Simulator 21 is better than ever, and James gets lost in Randomness.
