#s1e10 what next?

In the last episode of this series we answer many questions. Where to go from here? What to learn next? The resources we spoke about in this episode are the blogs stratecherry.com, the product management subMedium, San Francisco product school, kwokchain, blackbox of product management. Some of the books we recommend are Cracking the PM Interview, Crossing the Chasm, Product Management for Dummies, Hooked, The Lean Product Playbook, The innovators dilemma. We also talk about the boring and bad parts of product management. If you'd like us to discuss more topics let us know on our social media handles: Sarosh (@SaroshMohammad) and Tanay(@tanaypratap) on Twitter.

Experimentation is needed to find the right fit. But which one is the right experiment? When to do A/B and when is it a bad idea? Do you know that the sample size/distribution of any experiment heavily influences the result? Countering the bias in data through this episode. While some say and we agree: "Data is God!", there are places where data can give you wrong impressions. In this 3 part mini series we'll start discussions on data. Why you need, how you can get it, and what to do with it once you have it. If you like the podcast give a shout-out to Sarosh (@SaroshMohammad) and Tanay(@tanaypratap) on twitter

There are times when you don't need a PM in your team. Having a PM when you don't need one can go against you, your product, or your company. So when do PMs start bringing value to the company? If you're a PM what kind of startup should you join? How to get a PM on a shoe string budget in a start-up? These are some of the things we cover here. #s1e3 pricing your product right (SaaS model)

#s1e3 pricing your product right (SaaS model)

Pricing deserves it's own podcast. In this one we try to give an overview and framework of how to think about pricing. A couple of small corrections, towards the end of the episode we talk about "predatory pricing" but the concept we were referring to was dynamic pricing. Predatory pricing is a different practice where you price a product very low to drive out competition. Also variable costs are the costs which vary with the amount of output produced. Employee salaries are therefore variable costs. If you like the podcast give a shout-out to Sarosh (@SaroshMohammad) and Tanay(@tanaypratap) on Twitter

#s1e2 tools for managing the product well

#s1e2 tools for managing the product well

We all need tools to be good at what we do. A Product Manager uses a bunch of tools as well to get around their work. While a PM has a wide array of work, in this episode we touch upon the tools and frameworks a PM can use in the space of project management, product strategy and user research apart from talking about a few more things. A small call-out: the lean canvas framework and the Porter's 5 forces are great frameworks for setting product strategy, and not for doing customer research. The Voice of the Customer framework helps in assimilating the customer research. If you like the podcast give a shout-out to Sarosh (@SaroshMohammad) and Tanay(@tanaypratap) on Twitter.
