PSYx - The Systemic Psychedelic

PSYx - The Systemic Psychedelic

By PSYx

PsychoActivating System Change: Humans, as a species, are facing complex global challenges. At PSYx, we are exploring how PsychoActive technologies can help to address these challenges, especially when applied in the fields of leadership, innovation and global systems.

By “PsychoActive Technologies” we mean both endogenous means such as meditation and breathwork and exogenous means such as psychedelics. We’re especially fascinated by psychedelics because of their exponential potential for immediate system change when systemically deployed.

Jonathan Glazer (TYPM) on Improving Sustainability through Community, Gratitude and Plant Medicines

Jonathan Glazer is the co-founder of the movement Thank You Plant Medicine (TYPM). The movement was born as a response to the stigma in society about the use of psychoactive plants and psychedelics.

The aim of the movement is to create a world where these substances are free from stigma and discrimination, for personal and collective healing.

As a first campaign, the team organized a global wave of gratitude on the 20th of February 2020. This was a global “coming out” day where thousands of people shared their stories of healing and transformation on social media.

Dr. Rick Strassman on Corona, Creativity & Psychedelics as Super Placebos

Dr. Rick Strassman on Corona, Creativity & Psychedelics as Super Placebos

Dr. Rick Strassman is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He is also President and co-founder of the Cottonwood Research Foundation, which is dedicated to consciousness research.

In the early 1990s, Dr. Strassman performed the first new human studies with psychedelic drugs in the US in over 20 years.

His research involved the powerful naturally-occurring compound, DMT. Led to this substance through his earlier study of the pineal gland as a potential biological locus for spiritual experiences, he administered several hundred doses of DMT to approximately five dozen volunteers between 1990 and 1995. He wrote about this research in the popular book, “DMT: The Spirit Molecule,” which has sold nearly 200,000 copies, and has been translated into over a dozen languages; and co-produced the popular independent documentary with the same title.

Since 1996, Dr. Strassman co-authored “Inner Paths to Outer Space.” He has been exploring models for the DMT effect using the Hebrew Bible’s concept of prophetic experience, as described in his book “DMT and the Soul of Prophecy.” His most recent book is his first novel, “Joseph Levy Escapes Death”.
