PST RPG - S1 Ep 4: Chimera Whiskey
TW: This episode has a family/characters finding out about contracting a magical disease and, even though fictional, might be a little much given our real COVID19 pandemic times.
Our fourth installment of PST RPG series, a continued narrative role playing series of comedy with friends. Barim and Datari head back to town while now Reticent disappears. Sudema is to be found at the village, they all shoot the old man’s rod at a tree, there’s free beer because dwarves look out for each other, Chimera Whiskey, and then bad news for a super nice family. Bummer. Amidst a downer down time, Datari does a few benefit concerts as they wait for their ride to make it to town. Level up!

Having defeated (or murdered?) some bandits and then forced them into listening to a song, the party finds out where to go to next on their search for an antidote to a mysterious disease. However, Hunty’s character mysteriously disappears, the rest of the party meet the mysterious Quibble who gives him his rod, Reticent acts suspiciously strange, and they get some dwarf’s bridge wet. PST RPG - S1 Ep 2: Team Sports, Possession and Fake Cops
Our second installment of PST RPG series, a continued narrative role playing series of comedy with friends. We continue where we left off last time: A combat instance of ambushing some bandits, or maybe they are just elves harmlessly looking for something? Classic cartoon detective moves ensue, Guardian becomes an arsonist while Hunty temporarily becomes a firefighter, Mar(x) possession (is it the specter of communism come haunting?!), and fake cops. PST RPG Ep1: R.I.P. Birdfucker
Our first installment of PST RPG series, a continued narrative role playing series of comedy with friends. This Episode 1 features the introduction of characters played by Mar(x), Lichen, Luci, Hunty, and our new friend Guardian. There a couple audio issues, apologizes! With Lazarus narrating as dungeon master, the party finds themselves at a funeral for Urgon Birdfucker….or was it Ergon…whatever, they’re dead from a freezing disease and now the whole village is under threat. What is this mysterious illness and is there a cure (and can they find it in time)? Laz has too much fun with censor-beep-tones; Beans are a tasty high fiber meal. Adventure starts at 23 minutes in, but you’ll miss out on everyone’s backstory and Birdfucker so don’t do it.

Episode 05 - Beyond the Pale: White fragility and the perpetuation of whiteness
On this twice-recorded episode of PST, we are joined by Charlotte, Professor of English and Education, to discuss the concept of whiteness in the U.S. and how the privilege and ideology that comes with it perpetuates and normalizes itself; Luci questions us white folk and shares his perspective on being brown in this white system; and how with unearned power comes great responsibility.
Public Space Travel is a podcast dedicated to social/political critique, comedy, and education. Coming from an anti-hierarchy/oppression perspective, we aim for progressive/radical left solidarity with brothers/sisters/trans and non-binary folk of all stripes.

Public Space Travel: Side Quest
Episode 01 - More or Less Pleasure
One this episode of Side Quest: https://youtu.be/Ww3GTNv9hHk
Today’s episode will be the first of (hopefully) many more episodes that are shorter and more fluid than our other typical episodes. Side Quest will focus on off-topics, recent everyday experiences, and other tangents in a more comical (yet sometimes dark) light.

Episode 04 - The Barbershop Cinematic Universe: Diversity in the tech industry
On this episode of PST, we welcome our new co-host Hunty and discuss how some [tech] companies utilize social-justice-washing (or diversity-washing) in order to appear as more caring, when in reality they are just marketing tactics that target profitable demographics. These are not real solutions to systemic problems and historical inaccessibility to socio-economic resources, but are instead merely bandages to cancer.

Eggs and Oil: Eco-fascism, ideologues, and the NZ shooter manifesto (with special guest Johnny Lupinacci)

Episode 03 - Eggs and Oil: Eco-fascism, ideologues, and the NZ shooter manifesto (with special guest Johnny Lupinacci)
WARNING: The following episode of Public Space Travel is a critical discourse analysis of the manifesto written by the shooter who committed the New Zealand massacre on March 15, 2019. As such, this episode contains material that some may find disturbing and/or triggering. We have chosen to intentionally refrain from using the shooter’s name.
Public Space Travel stands unwavering against hate, bigotry, and oppression in all of its forms. May this episode help comrades and allies better understand the twisted ideas and sick justifications inside the minds of the alt-right. We hope this episode will agitate and inoculate the left and their allies from these abhorrent alt-right beliefs.
Now, more than ever, do we need to organize in solidarity against all oppression. We cannot delay.
On this episode of PST, we are joined by Johnny Lupinacci, eco-critical scholar and professor of Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education, to discuss the ideology of eco-fascism presented in the manifesto of the Christchurch, New Zealand shooter; how these alt-right ideas are spread on the internet, functioning as an informal learning space of bigotry; as well as some related commentary regarding “whiteness” and “white-fragility,” which we will explore in greater detail in an upcoming episode of PST.
