With Season 1 of Young Rock in the books, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite things about the show, as well as looking toward the future with some of our hopes for Season 2. Which Dwayne is the best Dwayne? Will The Rock be the next President of the United States? What in the world is going on with Randall Park? Chris and Tessa answer these questions and more in this Season 1 recap and wrap-up!

Bang bang! Election day is approaching in 2032, but the Rock isn't counting his chickens just yet. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 11 of Young Rock, "Election Day," in which the Rock shares three times when things didn't go as planned for him and we get probably the closest look at who Dwayne Johnson the person - not the machine - really is.

The 2032 election is on the horizon, and The Rock won't accept defeat. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 10 of Young Rock, "Good vs Great," in which Dwayne is outshined by his teammates on and off the football field, Rocky's coupon game is unmatched, and, maybe more importantly, Randall is back!

It's 1982, and big things are on the horizon for the Johnson family. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 9 of Young Rock, "A Lady Named Star Search," in which Lia Maivia is on a warpath for Greg Yao, Ata has the opportunity to chase her dreams on Star Search, and Little Dewey just really wants a boogie board.

We're back in 1987, and Dwayne Johnson is doing all kinds of groveling. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 8 of Young Rock, "My Baby Only Drinks the Good Stuff," in which Dwayne’s relationship with Karen is on the rocks, the Johnson family’s financial problems come to a head, and Ata inspires Rocky and Dwayne to stop working the gimmick and start “working the solution.”

It's 1991 and Dwayne is about to prove he's the most electrifying man in...Phone Services? Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 7 of Young Rock, "Johnson & Hopkins," in which Dwayne and his new friend and co-worker Hopkins get to live out their action hero dreams in a race to make sure every emergency phone on campus is working. Meanwhile, Lia returns to the United States, where she must make amends with her family and friends.

Hold onto your butts! It's 1982, and we're once again immersed in the Hawaiian wrestling scene. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 6 of Young Rock, "My Day with Andre," in which Little Dewey spends a day with a giant, Rocky’s family loyalty is put to the test, and the Island Battle Royal ends with a royal disappointment.

This week on Young Rock, we return to 1987, where 15-year-old Dwayne’s attempts to steal the heart of Karen have him literally stealing. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 5 of Young Rock, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," in which Dwayne's bad behavior is revealed to Ata, leaving her no choice but to lay the smack down while Rocky is away at a wrestling convention.

It’s 1990 and Dwayne is playing football at the University of Miami. But not for long, as an injury suffered during practice sidelines him for the season. Chris and Tessa discuss Season 1 Episode 4 of Young Rock, "Check Your Head," in which Dwayne gets hit hard physically and mentally and struggles with his descent from the highs of college football to the lows of depression, while Ata and Rocky deal with empty-nest syndrome and have very different ways of coping.

Before Rocky Johnson was portrayed by Joseph Lee Anderson on Young Rock, he was portrayed by The Rock himself in 1999.
