Coach Pina Jr. brings on Andre Tippett to talk about his playing career. Andre was drafted in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots and was enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame following a productive 11 seasons with the Patriots. He is currently the Director of Community Affairs for the Patriots and also coaches football in Massachusetts.

Coach Pina Jr. brings on Ed Marinaro, best known for his portrayl as Coach Marty Daniels on the TV Show Blue Mountain State. Ed also played Runningback for Cornell, placing second in the 1971 Heisman Voting. He was drafted in the second round of the 1972 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. Ed played in two Super Bowls with Minnesota before playing with the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks.

Coach Pina Jr. brings on Malik Zaire, who was a top-rated quarterback coming out of high school. Malik played his football at Notre Dame before transferring to Florida as a Graduate. After a brief stint in the NFL as an Undrafted Free Agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he now does broadcasting for college football on CBS.

Coach Pina Jr. brings on Mike Hoecht, currently a Defensive Lineman for the Los Angeles Rams, to talk about playing at Brown University, signing with the Los Angeles Rams, and playing football in Canada when he was younger. Originally from Canada, Mike played his college football for the Brown University Bears, eventually garnering enough attention to sign as an undrafted free agent with the Rams in 2020. After spending the 2020 season on the Rams' practice squad, he will try his best to crack the Rams' 53 man roster in 2021.

Coach Pina Jr. talks with Devin Gardner about his playing career at the collegiate level, professional level, and what it was like playing football in Japan. Devin played college football at Michigan prior to being signed as an Undrafted Free Agent by the New England Patriots. Devin has also played in Japan's professional football league, known as the X-League, as well as the CFL. Devin now runs his own training program called "Young go getters", as he works to develop QBs.

Coach Pina Jr. Talks with former Seattle Seahawk Robert Turbin about his NFL Career and playing in the FCF. Robert won Super Bowl 48 with the Seattle Seahawks and spent three years with the Seawhawks and playing with the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and Indianapolis Colts. For our our season finale of Real Talk With QB Velocity we were fortunate to talk with Coach Beam!

As you may recognize Coach Beam from Netflix's "Last Chance U" season 5, he has been a football coach since 1979 and has played a big part in developing many college and NFL athletes. Some of the players he has coached include CJ Anderson , Davone Bess and Marvel Smith.

When we talk to coach , we talked about a variety of topic including Last Chance U, social justice and what athletes should focus on for development.

Tune into one of the most interesting real talks of the season! Mcleod had so much valuable information throughout our chat with him. Being a journey man in the NFL, he has seen it all and has an incredible experience in the football world!

In this episode we got to talk with Chad Kanoff! Chad played at Princeton in college having an incredible senior year that got him the opportunity to play for the Arizona Cardinals. After his time in Arizona he got the opportunity to play in the brand new XFL league before COVID-19 hit the world and cancelled the season.

In this episode we got to chat with former NFL Offensive Linemen, Cory Proctor! Cory played the majority of his career in Dallas but also played for the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions! Cory talks about playing for Bill Parcells, remembering the hardest guy he had to block in his career and much more! Check out the full blog in the link below!

In this episode we had the privilege to talk with Lofa Tatupu! Lofa had a very successful Football career starting at USC, to being a monster in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks! Lofa brought great information on what Pete Carrol is like, what mentors and being a mentor was like, and much more! 

In his junior season, Johnson started 4 games in 2019 before his season was cut short by an injury. During those games he started he averaged 4.7 yards per carry and one touchdown, he had a season-high 125 yards on 16 carries, with a long of 54 and a touchdown against Stetson.

Mekhai has many honorable mentions during his college career and prior to arriving at Marist College. Johnson is an incredible talent and he talks about his training regimen and his expectations for his last season at Marist College, along with his views on a prep year for young athletes.

Mekhai goes in depth about how hard he trains and how many days a week he will train to achieve his end goal of playing in the NFL. He mentions it was almost 6 days a week and now he’s still going 4-5 days a week. the difference he’s smarter about he does and how he works out.

In 2018 Mensah became the first running back since 2011 to have 1000-yards. He totaled 1045 yards on 225 carries and scored six touchdowns for the Huskies. Then in 2019, Mensah became the first Husky running back to rush for at least 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons since Jordan Todman accomplished this in 2009.

With his this year being canceled to the pandemic, he's hopeful for next season and is continuing to put the work in despite the situation. He talks about what the Huskies are doing during this crazy time, some advice for young athletes, and much more!

Mensah is curentry a Human development in family science Major and he is using it as an in for law school, and has high hopes for the 2021 season. Check out the full Blog located below.
