Barbie and The Bear
Why hello sweet podsters.
This week, Olivia discusses her itchy hands (and warm heart) as in true, sapphic form, she has acquired a cat! We go deep on Barbie just in time for the end of the #discourse which let's face it, is very us!
We discuss the character arc of Ken v Barbie and how it's impossible to please everyone when you create a movie to please everyone (spoiler alert, we still liked it very much) and the importance of platforming women's silliness- we are silly, ok?!
We also go deep on The Bear Season 2 and our crushes on every single character- (Matty Matheson anyone?!) as well as *that* episode, 'Fishes.'

I GOT A TASTE 4 BLOOD
Hello hello jolly podcast sailors, 'tis us, your favourite gals about town with another monthly serving of QUEER LONGING.
This month, we recap our jet set lifestyle (Lucy went to Rome and ate delicious food, Olivia went to Valencia and ate mediocre food) as well as the myriad benefits of an air fryer (hello thirties, is that you?).
We talk about our upcoming trip to see A Little Life on the West End, and discuss how our relationship to art can change with time and context.
We cover Eurovision and how we got the best Chinese takeaway of our lives that one time (never to be repeated) and importantly, what the future holds for the Gaylor of our dreams post (alleged) Joe Alwyn break up.
We talk all our favourite telly bits from Succession to The Power as well as scary childhood memories and the importance of always splitting the G.
You'd truly be mad to miss it.

Plus we look forward to consumable fan favourites 'Succession' and 'And Just Like That', and when we say 'fan favourites' we of course mean our favourites.
We're absolutely brimming with living to be back and gooey with you all. So climb on board and feel the longing!

Queer Longing Author Special: Henry Fry, 'First Time For Everything'
We're back for a new season and starting off with another stunning author special. In this episode we were joined by the true human delight that is Henry Fry to discuss his debut novel, 'First Time For Everything', a heart-warming novel which follows protagonist Danny along the pitfalls of finding yourself explored through humour and the importance of queer family.
We talked to Henry about his new book along with a lot of chat about festivals, corporate lip service and choosing bottoms or tops for our burger buns...naturally!
Henry's book, 'First Time For Everything' is available now- go go go!
Queer Longing Author Special: Calla Henkel, 'Other People's Clothes'
And we're back with another banging author! This time we're joined by Calla Henkel to discuss her debut novel 'Other People's Clothes', a darkly comic novel set in the 00's which deals with death, sexuality and toxic friendships.
We talked to Calla about her inspo behind the novel and the specific reasons for setting this story against a landscape before the onset of mass social media in our lives- everyone's remembers when they removed their battery from their phone right?!
Calla dives in the distinct characterisation of the two friend's in the book and on wanting to give them what they want, even if that outcome may seem perverse. Plus, we dissect the changing obsession people have with true crime and 'dead girl' narratives.
