Pedestrian Plight

Pedestrian Plight

The pedestrian could be me, could be you, could be one of us walking on the street (or the sidewalk, if possible), or trying to deal with a challenge, where the driver(s) of the car(s) around you or the support infrastructure and poorly-planned software and technology tools are not on your side, even if you are in the crosswalk.

The X in Customer Experience

The X in Customer Experience

Whether you just want to use the thing you purchased or the service you signed up for, or you are developing something (software-ish for example, but it could be anything), it helps when there is someone at the other end of a conversation who knows what you need and how to answer your questions...

Moving to Friday

Moving to Friday

Thrashing on interrupts? I know how you feel... Friday seems like a better day to talk about any sprinting from the previous 5 days, and any potential sprinting for the next two. Until we have some willing participation in the form of guest discussion about projects and ideas and whatnot, you got me on Fridays for updates and stories... subject to change without notice.

Reading From Home

Reading From Home

Reading is fundamental! It is a part of work, a part of not-work, make it a part of your day, whether form home or not!

Also, put the boo down and work on your projects, whether they are work or not-work as well...

Solve Stuff

Solve Stuff

Shall we publish this podcast more frequently? Maybe even, periodically?

Seems like a good idea.

The theory moving forward is, people don't really check the description of a podcast in their podcast player application to see what sorts of comments the host(s) or guest(s) have to add. Maybe a link to an article or picture referenced, or maybe contact info for the guest(s), but for the most part the show notes are hidden in the RSS feed, and rightfully so. RSS is a hint at the full content.

There is a QuogglingSand newsletter, via Substack, which I mentioned in the episode.

Please SUBSCRIBE to it!

https://quogglingsand.substack.com/

Since there's a race condition between publishing the podcast on Anchor and publishing the newsletter on Substack, the Substack newsletter will publish AFTER the episode is posted to Anchor, and so the URL for the episode will be in the corresponding newsletter.

The wheelchair article I mentioned during the episode is linked in the newsletter!

Support the Show

If you enjoy what you're hearing in this startup show, and if you would like to hear more, or if you'd like to support the larger canvas of projects your host is working on, buy him a coffee! Funds contributed here actually will go toward coffee, be that a spend on beans, on brewing devices, mineral additives for distilled water, urmex to clean the devices... actual coffee!

In addition, you can like, share, subscribe, re-share, re-subscribe, and eventually participate in live stream chats or even some drop-in audio, most likely via Telegram (or maybe something else, but not Clubhouse).

Either way, I thank you for listening.

Reasons Not Excuses

Reasons Not Excuses

Well, my sprint schedule slipped. If you listened to the very first episode of this new show, you heard among the random bits of story and ramble, that I wanted to deploy the websites that correspond to this and two other new audio programs I'm a part of now, but...

As the title suggests, these are not excuses, because late is late, but I do go into substantial detail about the two reasons for my slippage.

If you like food trucks, mobile vendors, service industry, Sunnyvale, Las Vegas, python, pyramid, postgresql, stored functions, or any of a few other intertwined subjects that came up along the way, you might be interested to spend an hour, or maybe 90 minutes if you make it all the way to the end.

If you do make it to the end, there's some mention of Telegram chats coming up, because DoNotJoinClubHouse, right? Talking to myself is fine, I do it all the time, but I would like to talk to you about what you're working on, and hear what other people have to say along the way.

Thanks for listening!
