The Little Book Corner

Hey everyone, today's poetry reading is a poem I wrote back in 2020 called "Snapped". It was one of many poems relating to my struggles with depression, anxiety, trauma and being suicidal at the time, so trigger warning.

I was going to publish them all in a book, in fact I did temporarily self-publish the book on Amazon but then deleted it as I found I wasn't ready at all to allow these poems to all be put out in a book for a greater audience than my blog followers to see. But I'm thinking of collecting all my poetry together and trying to publish it again one day.

I apologize for the delay in getting around to another podcast episode, I've been busy with my first semester of my undergraduate Bachelor program, work and moving to a new city! Now that I've moved and somewhat settled into a routine, I've now had time to get around to my writing and podcast again, whoo! So we are on episode 4 of season 2 which is all about poetry! Today's episode, I decided to try something a little different, and experimented with voice effects, please let me know what you guys think of these voice effects, I thought they might help add to the feel of this particular poem as it's about a heavy topic, but as the creator, I'm most likely biased, so please let me know what y'all think, any feedback is welcome :)

Hey! Here's the second episode of season 2 of my podcast! This season is all about poetry, so here's a little poem about social injustice and a plea to accept and love each other, corny, but thought it would be nice :) Happy pride month, stay safe out there and I love you all!

Here is the last entry into the dear diary series, and the end of season 1 of this podcast, we're now onto season 2, which will be about my poetry, hope you enjoy!

This was an interesting one to record - started to record it, paused to have a drink and my bedroom lights get turned off because my little brothers wanted to go to bed lol! That was fine, I was able to record around that without waking them up because I didn't wait until morning. Maybe not the best idea, but still. Also, please excuse my trembling voice in the recording - I promise I am fine, despite what it might have sounded like, I promise I wasn't about to cry, I don't know why it sounded like that.

Anyway, today's episode is called Coffee Broodings and was meant to be the current last entry in my Dear Diaries series and the end of season 1 of this podcast, but inspiration struck in the middle of recording and I will post another entry into the Dear Diaries series a heck of a lot sooner than I anticipated XD

For the first two minutes, I just have a bit of a chat and a catch up about what's been happening and some of my ideas about things and then for the rest of the episode, I read out my third entry in my 'Dear Diary', called 'As Fleeting As Smoke', the link to the original article can be found here:
