Thundercats Review: 1:21 "Dr. Dometone" (1985)

Thundercats Review: 1:20 "Return to Thundera" (1985)

Episode: 55 "Sugar Hill" aka "The Zombies Of Sugar Hill" (1974)
This is hands down a favorite of Ryan and David: It's "Sugar Hill" a 1974 horror blaxploitation zombie film, directed by Paul Maslansky and starring Marki Bey as the title character who uses voodoo to get revenge on the people responsible for her boyfriend's death. It also stars the amazing Zara Cully (aka Mother Jefferson) as "Mama" Maitresse."
"When her boyfriend is murdered by gangsters, Sugar Hill decides not to get mad, but BAD! She entreats voodoo queen Mama Maitresse to call on Baron Samedi, Lord of the Dead, for help with a gruesome revenge. In exchange for Sugar's soul, the Dark Master raises up a zombie army to do her bidding. The bad guys who think they got away clean are about to find out that they're DEAD wrong."
(Today's movie from 1974 uses language and stereotypes that are considered outdated and harmful. Including Infrequent use of the "N" word. Viewer Discretion is Advised if film is watched after this review.)
