folks....howdy, on this episode I do a short little update with Chris about the Congress of Essential Workers, and then Matt and I discuss the big ole pandemic we all know and love, and the hooting chuds doing their best to kill themselves and everyone around them. Matt went to Sturgis specifically for the Pod so he's basically an undercover investigative journalist. Also we talk about colonialism and I read a cool excerpt from Nick Estes' book "Our History is the Future", which is good as hell and everyone should read. We also talk about Fascism and its relationship to colonialism. Howdy gang, very excited to share this episode with y'all! I was just chilling on my smoke break at work, and thought it would be funny if I emailed Norman and asked for an interview-and to my surprise he actually responded. Norm taught us about the dangers of Naziphobia (only kidding), and also talked about his jewish devil horns that we all know and love, and also basically roasted us from being from South Dakota (yeah get in line buddy!). 

We mostly just sound dumb and listen to Norm give some important historical context and ways to think about the conflict. It really was an honor and super cool for us ol' country boys to be able to speak to him. He was very funny and kind and has a lot of knowledge to share. He was also kind enough to offer to do a second interview with us, so look out for that!

Folks, this episode was supposed to be published like 3 weeks ago, but I got distracted and ended up not putting it out until now. We recorded this on May, 6th, 2020. We talked about news stories both local and international, and just have a pretty wide ranging discussion about everything from a now out dated at this point Covid Update, and talk about the racialized way in which people are being affected by the pandemic. We talk about the victory of the democratically elected government of Venezuela over what may be the dumbest coup attempt we've ever seen (so far). 

We talk about a case of body bags being sent to an indigenous health center in Seattle, the fact that the Democrats are absolute crap and we hate them, and we end on a sad/depressing/angry note, discussing the absolutely disgusting case of the murder of Ahmad Arbury and also have a totally unrelated conversation about why leftists and liberals/anyone opposed to racist violence should start buying guns.
