Is it permissible to pay a   poll-tax to Caesar, or not?” 18 But Jesus perceived their malice, and said,   “Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites? 19 Show Me the coin used for the   poll-tax.” And they brought Him a denarius. 20 And He *said to them, “Whose   image and inscription is this?” 21 They *said to Him, “Caesar’s.” Then He   *said to them, “Then pay to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God   the things that are God’s.” 22 And hearing this, they were amazed; and they   left Him and went away. From Anger to Reconciliation. | Ep. 37
I had the honor of speaking at Church in the Loop on the topic of anger and reconciliation. Anger is an emotion we have all felt, but it is imperative that we go from anger to forgiveness. In this message, you will hear how to do that and much more! Main Passage: Matthew 5:22-24 - But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be answerable to the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. A Loving and Avenging God | Ep. 36
There are many aspect to God's character and in this episode we focus on two. Some know Him as a loving God. We hear about His judgement and vengeance, but we take a look at why understanding both is important.  Main Passages: Jonah 4:2 - He prayed to the Lord and said, “Please Lord, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity. Nahum 1:2-5 - A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet. 4 He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither; the blossoms of Lebanon wither. Mountains quake because of Him and the hills dissolve; indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, the world and all the inhabitants in it. Staying Steady During Disruptions! Ep. 17
Do you feel unsteady whenever something disturbs your routine in life, or your peace of mind? What about living during a time of crisis, such as this? Let's talk about how to remain steady during times of disruptions! Main Scripture: Matthew 7:24-27 - “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” Finding Ways to Volunteer: Into & Outro beats provided by S.Rock:

What To Do In Distressing Times! Ep. 15
In this episode we talk about how to respond in distress. Distress is extreme anxiety, sorrow or pain. Have you ever experience this!?  Main Scripture: Psalm 88:1-9- Lord, you are the God   who saves me; day and night I cry out to you. 2 May my prayer come before   you; turn your ear to my cry. 3 I am overwhelmed   with troubles and my   life draws near to death. 4 I am counted among   those who go down to the pit; I am like one   without strength. 5 I am set apart with the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave,   whom you remember no more, who are cut off from   your care. 6 You have put me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths. 7 Your wrath lies heavily on me; you have overwhelmed me with   all your waves. 8 You have taken from me my   closest friends and have made me repulsive to   them. I am confined and cannot escape; 9 my eyes   are dim with grief. Worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth: Noticing Emotional Distress: Into & Outro beats provided by S.Rock:

Working with Effort! Ep. 11
It's already a battle to be diligent in the work we do. We hear so many times to give our best effort, but that's easier said that done!  What does the Bible have to say about this!? Main Scripture: Colossians 3:22-24 - Servants, in everything obey those who are your masters on earth, not only with external service, as those who merely please people, but with sincerity of heart because of your fear of the Lord. 23 Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve. Into & Outro beats provided by S.Rock:

R E C O N C I L I A T I O N! Ep. 10
What does it mean to be a minister of reconciliation? How do we carry the message of reconciliation? What does this even look like? Main Scripture - 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. Into & Outro beats provided by S.Rock:
