Happy Tuesday friends! In today’s episode I discuss my personal tips and ways that have worked for me to get out of a meh funky type of place. I also go into number signs and symbols in honor of this being episode 111 😊
Happy Monday to you! In today’s episode I talk about the rewind week last week. I discuss and share my final thoughts with tidying up and finishing up my space. Thank you for your suggestions and answering the poll I shared here on the gram yesterday. As we find ourselves in the middle of January I remind us to not beat ourselves up over your resolutions goals etc for the year. Also the importance of not beating others up either. Sometimes you will have to adjust or allow yourself to change things up. Xoxoxo
Happy Sunday to you all! Today I continue the conversation on tidying up as I tackled my closet and a few other minor areas this morning. I also discuss the upcoming week and the rest of this Sunday! Enjoy.
Happy Saturday to you! In today’s episode I do a brief recap of this past week’s episodes that were published. Then I go into what I wound up doing this afternoon which all was inspired by the Marie Kondo Tidying Up show...it is actually a good thing to do for the first weekend of 2019!
Happy first Friday of 2019! Continuing with touching on some things for the beginning of a new year...today I speak about remembering to be in the present moment as opposed to getting too lost in the future dreams. The important thing with being in the present is finding those big size actions to work towards all the goals and dreams and resolutions you have for 2019. I share a few of my personal things I’m working on / doing with this podcast. I hope you have a wonderful Friday!
Happy Thursday to you and third day of 2019! In today’s episode I speak about truly remembering that you are curating your social media feeds, your life, and your inbox. I go through how I really go about cleaning out my feeds.
Happy Wednesday to you all. Over these next few days I am going to speak about somethings and themes as we kick off a new year here. Today it’s all about not beating yourself up or already saying your year sucks based on one slip up. The second half is about not sitting around comparing your goals, resolutions to anyone else’s.
Happy Happy New Years to all of you!! I hope that you had a wonderful time ringing this year in wherever and however you chose to celebrate or not. I discuss the true importance of staying in a positive headspace and being able to truly start this year great. As we stay out this year make sure to really make whatever resolutions or goals you choose are truly for you not based on what you think you should be or what others will try and make you think. Also be loving in the process as it’s okay to change or recalibrate. The one thing that truly matters is that we all keep going and showing up. I also discuss a few of the nuggets I am carrying over this year. I end on the one word that came to my mind waking up today and that was the word - more. I wish you all the most amazing happiest year ahead!
Happy Freaking New Years 🥂🥂🍾🍾 It’s finally here the #year in review episode....
I start out with a little discussion of accountability and the chat I just had last night with @brytay82 on twitter and how it’s truly leave no stone unturned and how I wanted to finally share my Fuck being Silent blog on my @loveashleytay account and well I did first thing this morning!
I read the blog post and go off the written words a bit between the 15:25 and the 35 minute mark.
From there I go through the year. Being able to reconnect with family and friends and other previous supporters. Losing my last grandparent in May. A bit about how I was feeling Jan-March mentally and emotionally. March was when Jazz @thiswomanfromny and I spoke and then slowly releasing and sharing with her we started @soulgabwithashandjazz in late June.
I share about the birth of my music account @zinlobeats
Turning 33 in May and how truly magical just like Jazz had predicted.
Starting the year off with the worst flu I’ve ever had in my life.
I touch on technology... AirPods, iPhone 8+ and Alexa and Google Home.
I go into a gushy fest just talking about friends and my posi posse and so many just wonderful souls.
I go through my top 10 +2 albums from the year as well as my 33 most listened to songs.
I share a few personal achievements like savings and debt.
Truly thank you to any of you that have given me any listen, likes comments support. Grateful. Have a wonderful wonderful New Years!!
Happy 😊 Sunday to you! Today I start out by doing a brief recap summary of the last week and all the episodes from the week. Speed up to about 9 min mark to skip the recap.
I share a quote that is kind of perfect as we end the year and for me looking at 2018. I discuss a little about where I was right as 2018 was beginning and my headspace. Through my experience in coming out of being a shell of myself I highly reiterate the importance of having that core crew.
I delve into some self analysis on hiding my quirks which truly did stem from the narcissistic relationship I was in which made me question myself like I never had before.
I end the episode just reiterating the fact that trust and intuition really is the foundation for so much.
Finally what are you doing for New Years? I’ll be doing the big year in review tomorrow so stay tuned and talk to you soon!
Happy Saturday to you all! In today’s episode I share my childhood connection to this number 101.
Thank you for being a listener and a supportive person. If you are new definitely go listen to episode 0 and 1 to get a summary of what to expect.
I spend some tome going into the big thing that really has stood out as my lesson for 2018. Which is of course related to trust in oneself and truly finding that distinction between others and oneself.
I end today’s conversation talking about truly embracing and leaning all into being our full selves including the parts of us we think is weird or quirky.
Do you trust yourself? What parts of you are you hiding?
Happy Friday — the last one of this year. In today’s episode I speak about the importance of a true friend and core support system. I am truly grateful to my posi posse crew that I have in @goodgrievings @brytay82 and @thiswomanfromny
I discuss the process of working on my year in review and also the key of truly seeing your own growth over the years. Also the need to forgive yourself and truly leave certain stuff behind in 2018 (or whatever year). In lieu of this being the 100th day/episode I went back and gave the previous podcast - Real Talk ep 100 from 2016. Funny how much is the same and how much is not. It’s always about being the best you and be better everyday and every year. For me it’s about showing up and trying.
I also touch a bit on resolutions and a mention of the last episode as well as the latest episode of Soul Gab with Ash and Jazz. Thinking about taking both podcasts to the “next level” or constantly thinking about getting better and better.
Truly truly loving what and where I am presently. I share a memory of how badly I wanted to be back in that creative rhythm of forgetting to eat or turn on lights and all track of time - just creative flow if you will.
Think of what that stone is for you that you have not turned over or haven’t shared or come forward or clean out that has to and is best left in 2018?
Finally, if you had to think of one or two words entering 2019 what would yours be?
Happy Thursday to you all. We are definitely in the weird time here between the holidays and the new year. How are you spending it? I chat about resolutions, goals and the vision board future focused place without actually doing things to line up to it. I share a bit about truly being present and truly finding the good moments in your 2018 as opposed to just shitting on it and expressing gratitude for the end of the year. We all had good and bad occur this year and every year. Give yourself credit for your own personal growth be it small or big - external or internal. Make sure whatever you are doing is ultimately lined up for you. Use these next few days before 2019 to your own advantage and truly be present with yourself and of course reflect in gratitude for all that transpired.
Happy Wednesday to you and post holidays! Today I do a brief holiday recap and then go into how much really can change in a day and a year. You and I really can make change happen even if it is small or big or as quick or slow. I end the chat just with a reminder to spread love to yourself and others as the holidays can be extra hard for many.
Happiest Sunday to you! Today I keep it short and just share a little of what I’m up to currently. Basically wrapping up some things before heading out for the holidays. I discuss how much music really takes me to just what I was feeling and my top picks will definitely be coming soon in the year in review episode. Thank you for listening and enjoy your holidays!
Happy Saturday to you all! Today I speak all about apologizing. Of course when you actually do need to apologize for something you are in the wrong please do. But more so around feeling the need to apologize for who I am and for my being all over and for my constant evolving and trying various things. Also I share how much I feel a need to apologize for my past experiences or for disappointing and disappearing for the past podcast or to all my past audience. I spend some time analyzing myself in a way off the cuff in today’s discussion. It boils down to me feeling bad for ever letting people down. The best thing is that I am showing back up and that is what matters. I hope this resonates for someone today. Xoxoxo
Happy Friday before the holiday! Today I speak about self care, music and a little about how important those small accomplishments and reflecting back positively. Regardless of what transpired this past year there is always a good lesson to be learned. As we all go into holiday mode we might find ourselves out of our “normal” typical routine so enjoy but also do what you gotta do for you.
Happiest Thursday to all of you! In today’s episode as we get down to the final weekend pre holidays I wanted to riff a little more about how there is no right or wrong gift and how it never ever is about how much money you are spending. Rather it’s more about the love.
Happy Wednesday to you all! In today’s episode I speak about truly reflecting more on the good that transpired in 2018 and not beating ourselves up or getting too critical. Honor your growth. It's so easy to beat ourselves up (especially near New Years). Look back with love and then be in love with yourself right now and face the future in love.
Happy Monday! Today I speak all about a few people that have been my rocks in 2018. As well as a very happy birthday to my amazing pal and co host @thiswomanfromny and a little recap of last nights @soulgabwithashandjazz
Happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I start the episode with a little shameless plug 🔌 for tonight’s @soulgabwithashandjazz episode. Fast forward to around 11:26 mark if you don’t wanna listen to the recap of the past six days. I share how I made my least favorite chore full of fun and a finding regarding laundry room etiquette. I close with a little quote about being yourself and being in joy. Also my thoughts on being a “weirdo” and out of body perception of me.
Hey Happy Saturday to you! In today’s episode I speak about how we all have so many characters come in and out of our lives, being friends with exes and creating or making your own closure. I also speak further on that thing mentioned yesterday about “writers block” is merely a cop out or an excuse to hide behind. Push past that and become ok with not every single thing you create or do being incredible or even interesting ... not only do we have to remember that is very subjective but also we get better with time and you never do know who needs it or who will get something from it. Would I listen to my own thoughts via this show? A random note from my phone notes - Stop trying to find IT let it unfold. The number symbolism - 37 that I keep seeing and what Google has to say about it.
Happiest Friday to you all! In today’s show I speak all about accountability with ourselves, creativity, and showing up with or without “flow” if you will. Also the idea of stream of consciousness and the importance of consistent efforts.
Happy Thursday to you! Today I spend a little time doing some housekeeping and recap for all the newer listeners. I also mention how whatever you and I are doing it will only get better with tome. Have a wonderful night (or day)!
Happy Wednesday to you!! In today’s episode I speak and share my thoughts on truly considering and remembering how much you have grown on internal level. By solely focusing on external or typical measurable growth you tend to feel depleted or you ignore the true internal growth. I speak about my big internal growth which is truly truly trusting myself first and foremost. What is one thing on an internal growth area have you experienced the most this year?
Hey guys! Happy happy Tuesday to you all! In today’s episode I talk a little about seeking validation and the thirst traps and phony facades. As well as just truly thinking about what your intentions are and if you are coming from a place of desperation. It all stems back to being able to truly validate yourself and trusting yourself.
Today I spend some time talking about the gifts and the rushing around that so many people find themselves caught up in leading up to all the holidays. Remember that it really is more about the love, intentions behind the gifts not just the money.
Happy Sunday to you! In today’s episode I speak all about truly making everything fun and my personal way of how I do that and my least favorite chore. Shout out to my random cold shoulder dance yesterday. Ck out @loveashleytay if curious. I also mention gifts for the upcoming holiday season. I end with a nice recap of the past week’s episodes.
Happy Happy Saturday to you all! Thank you so much for tuning in and for your continued support. I have so much love and connection for anyone out there that is starting over or beginning something brand new. Always seeing good in every person and a little discussion on Mister Rogers. Bottom line from today’s chat - Trust your feelings.
Hey guys happy Friday to you!
In today’s episode I discuss just how much the simple stuff that often gets overlooked is so so important. Whether that’s a smile or a thank you. Also please remember that you truly never ever know who might need your smile, your interactions, your experiences and or content however you share yourself in the world. Thank you all for your support always. Have a beautiful evening.
Hey 👋 happy Thursday to you! In today’s episode I speak all about the Spotify 2018 in review using the website www.spotifywrapped.com
I mention how Bryan of Pass Podcast shared a sneak peak of his year in review and how much we all have truly grown and gone through this year. Wrapping in the music 🎶 as I’ve been listening to my top 100 songs of 2018 via Spotify it sure takes me through every single second of the year and everything good bad and in between that I’ve felt.

Happy First of the month to you!! Today is a beautiful day which is symbolic with the rain 🌧 coming down. What to do when you say “um” and guys! I found the airport photo 😂 I discuss more about how we can truly take the end of the year as a time to truly stop dimming and to take into account what we need to say do let go of or change or iterate. I end discussing the importance of just allowing yourself to share your experiences and feelings because even if we go through a similar scenario we all have our own individual reactions and experiences that all are valid. Have an amazing Saturday!
Happy last Friday of November to you!! Knowing that we are now entering the last month of the year let’s end it strong and know that so much can be done still. I end today’s episode sharing some random things including what I could eat a lot, song I can always listen to, my favorite place and some funny stories from college. As well as Jazz and mines plan to meet on a moving sidewalk.

I also mention today’s 50th episode of @soulgabwithashandjazz coming out later today. The true gift of presence and time. I end discussing knowing that everyone has their own reactions and or thoughts but you can always control your reactions.
Hope everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving and Black Friday sales - in this episode I speak about how it’s far more important to think beyond the materialistic stuff that comes this time of year and also how nothing is too small when their is a love intention behind it.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Xoxoxo
Happiest Tuesday to you all! In today’s discussion I chat about breaking rules and going against the typical grain. Dealing with stereotypes and not fitting a certain “box”. The true importance of staying true to yourself as opposed to what someone else is telling you.
Happy Happy Monday to you! In today’s episode to kick off the new week I open up a little chat about finding internal and external things that we can truly love about ourselves. I also share a fun little superstition start to my morning.
Happy Sunday to you!! In today’s episode I talk a little about wanting so much to truly truly convey what is inside of us. The true testament is being able to stay high in the lows of this rollercoaster called life. Definitely check out last nights conversation on my other podcast - Soul Gab with Ash and Jazz.
Happy Happy Saturday to you today! In today’s episode I speak about how anger, struggles and all emotions can produce really incredible progression and creative flow. The clicking for me of the word Random in this podcast name and how it just fits for me. The importance of creative outlets that bring you joy and or is cathartic.
Happiest Friday to you all! I hope you are having an amazing amazing Friday thus far. In today’s episode I speak about my absolute love of music and how much it can take us back to that exact moment in time. Just like how it can truly put into words what I’m feeling or thinking but can’t personal lot even find a way to verbalize it. Do you have a favorite song or artist? Talk to you tomorrow.
Happy happy Thursday to you all! It started snowing right after I finished recording 😊In today’s episode I discuss about how we should never suppress your happiness while also still feeling for others. Same goes for all of the human emotions. It’s never ever a good idea to ignore or suppress your true feelings.
Happiest Wednesday to you! Today I mention the fact that yesterday was actually world kindness day. I riff on what makes me feel lit up and happy. Change and happiness really does start with the individual. Recognizing when we are going into mind chatter and one of my favorite phrases to remind myself. And the true beauty of the messy human experience.
Happy Tuesday to you! In today’s podcast, I chat about some of the dark and light, eb and flow of the human mind and life. The bottom line is that as humans we want to be heard, seen, loved. Showing up and continuing without the typical measurable stuff. As you start reflecting on the year remember to think and give yourself credit for all the unseen or unmeasurable growth.
Hey guys! Happy Monday to you!
Today I speak about feeling happy for no reason and feeling blessed based on the people in my life. I also go into personal definitions of what we look for in friendship and happinesses. The cliche truth of happiness being an inside job and of course I share the song I can’t stop listening to!
Happy Sunday, Veterans Day and the magical manifestation day of 11:11.
Today I speak about what this day really is all about and what to be putting your attention and thoughts toward and always being open to things change. I also speak a little about me and Jazz’s convo of this past year and how much has transformed since January. Piggy backing off the discussion I had yesterday... I go a little more on not letting yourself slow down or do less to ensure someone else is comfortable. And of course the reminder that everything be that self care or what you can do be driven by someone else. All these things are so individual. XOXOXO
A happy Saturday to you all!!
Today I start off doing a recap of Monday-Friday’s episode. I discuss how much happiness really does come from nothing but yourself. Recognizing and checking in why you are looking for outside counsel. The importance of truly checking in with how everything and everyone around us makes us feel. No one can dictate your choices because it really is critical to come back to what feels right or wrong for you. Standing strong alone regardless of who or what is standing with you. Bottom line - You Don’t Need to Have your Intution or Happiness Validated.
Happy Friday to you! Today we got to have our very first snow of the season and the year. A little early but pretty none the less. I discuss how everything and every single experience is helping us to truly blossom and it all makes sense as we continue growing and going through our lives and all the various experiences good and bad and tough. I also mention the importance of loosening up our death grip on how we hope things work out or transpire. I end on reminding ya to never take simple things or people for granted. XO - enjoy your Friday evening
Happy Thursday to you! In today’s episode of random Observations with Ash, I riff on how people come in and out of lives and being able to embrace this and cope when relationships of all varieties come to an end if they do. Everyone meets people for a reason: either a blessing or a lesson. Some will stay with you until you learn what you need to learn others will stay with you through all of the lessons.
Happiest Wednesday to you! In today’s episode I speak all about the evolution as humans (no not the monkey science one) but more so about the constant trials and the beauty of being willing to try a thousand different avenues. I share some of my random past trials and share many of my random old domains from yesteryear 🤣
Happy Voting Day! Did you ?
In today’s fiftieth episode I speak all about giving ourselves the necessary credit which TBH is still a work in progress for me...I also talk all about the importance of learning to embrace the uncertainties of life and become friends with the constant changes that occur in our lives. And of course a little music toward the end ;)
Happy Happy Monday and full week of November!!! In today’s episode I share a very important reminder for all. If someone makes you feel less than or is doing more tearing down and suppressing who you are than loving you or supporting you or at least offer constructive criticism ... you are allowed to walk away don’t allow them to hold you down. The importance of being a human and not merely ghosting others. Always always check into how you are feeling with all your connections. I also wind up talking about the randomable bologna oscar mayer lunch meat and how very shady it is.
Happy Happy Sunday to you all!
Today over my coffee two, I start with a little recap of yesterday’s episode and also @soulgabwithashandjazz - I discuss how things happen that may or may not be in your control or unexpected but more often than not it’s needed because as we all hear the hardships grow you and make us stronger. Never ever feel bad for having to continue to having to learn a lesson repeatedly different times - different versions of us and of course different ppl 😊 learning to trust myself and believe my gut feeling has been ongoing. Enjoy!!
Happy Saturday to you!
Today, I sit down and have my second cup of joe with you as I hit record and go into a stream of consciousness. I delve into the tricky topic of comparing ourselves to not others but to ourselves. How much we tend to discredit ourselves and what we are doing, what our skills are, what we’ve personally survived ourselves etc etc etc. And kudos to those souls that are going through stuff that can’t necessarily be publicly verbalized for whatever reason.
Happy Happy Friday to you all!! In today’s “random” episode I share a ton of music picks and how much I find something in the air this November. A brief recap and thoughts on Halloween 🎃 I also shout out my peeps per usual @soulgabwithashandjazz @brytay82 I end today talking all about candy and my opinion on American and Canadian chocolates 🍫
Happy Happy First of the month! In today’s first episode for the month of November I riff on the true importance of trusting and believing in your own read and feelings on vibes situations people things etc etc etc. Also noted is how to deal when those feelings or hunches are opposite of the “popular” Enjoy! Xoxoxo to an amazing rabbit 🐇 rabbit 🐇 month!
Happy Halloween 🎃 to you all! In today’s episode I share some fun Halloween memories and music (of course) I also speak about constructive criticism and being liked by everyone. As well as not letting one person and their criticism hold you back. Take in everything and really decipher everything within yourself. I end the episode with some trick or treating grab your loot haunted house conversation and another classic Halloween song!
Happy happy Tuesday to you! In today’s episode I start with a little shout out to my bud @brytay82 of PASS podcast and of course of course my other podcast - @soulgabwithashandjazz I speak a bit about the need and importance of truly being in the current moment as cliche and as often as we hear this it really is necessary. Especially as we wind down this month and year which is when we are naturally going to be reflecting. A good few things when going into reflecting mode - set a timer, and really remember the good happy stuff. How can we take what those good moments or feelings to our current self.
A very happy final Monday of October to you friends!!
On today’s episode I discuss when we find ourselves getting hit heavy with some of those #selfdoubt types of thoughts 💭 along with those big big deep types of life questions like what’s the meaning, what’s the purpose I’m here to serve, am I doing enough, am I good enough...I share some ways that I’ve navigated these things and hope you enjoy.
Happy Sunday to you all! Come spend your Sunday morning with me as I share a lot of various thoughts and so much of it is very cathartic. Skip ahead to 7:30 if you want to skip ahead from my recap from this past week. I go into a discussion of learning how to truly connect to who you are. Discuss how in my early 20s I was more into having a ton of friends and acquaintances as compared to my early 30s. Going through situations that make you doubt, question yourself. You might veer off , change direction, or ppl might try and stop you or tell you you’re not doing something good or it doesn’t seem smart or it’s dumb ...but if it’s your natural state, what makes you happy you’ll always come back to it or be led eventually back to yourself.
Who really has the power to decide to tell you what is right or wrong. People are going to come to us with what their own fears are. People get used to how you are and then when you do something a little different it can make them question or think that’s not you. When it’s better to be silent or agree to disagree.

Happy Saturday morning to you!
Today on @randomwithash I wind through a lot of different topics over my morning coffee ☕️ Including thoughts on being optimistic and pessimistic, getting through and grieving the ending of various relationships be that friends or romantic relationships. Being able to find those silver linings and choosing to see and remember the good memories not the crappy ones. The episode ends with the first thing I do when I wake up. And ramdom tidbit about all the random words that I say just cuz I wanna say them 😂
Happy Happy Friday! In today’s episode I go into a random flow about Little Miss and Mr. Men from youth and of course my other gem - The Gnome show! To wrap up I share some of my favorite songs and other music stuff this week.
Happiest Thursday to you all!
In today’s episode I speak about truly knowing when to push and when to pause based on what’s going on in your current situations and life. Of course everyone is going to be different and everyone will listen to themselves differently. We must remember that a lot of the stuff that you are worried about, frustrated by, hurt or all the other emotions....probably won’t really matter or hold as much weight in the near future.
Happy Wednesday to you!
In today’s show, I talk about that common question - what advice would you tell your younger self? Spend some tome and think about what you would share with your younger self and share with me! Some of the things I would tell younger Ashley? It’s okay to not know where you’re going, always trust your heart, be mindful and smart with money, cherish and love yourself first and foremost, cherish those that will always be there for you while also knowing people will come in and out of your life and know that not everyone will understand your heart or your intentions- everyone will assume what they are going to assume.
Happy Tuesday to you! In today’s Random Observations I riff on how so much is a gamble. The back and forth we tend to experience with listening to our heart and our minds. Being aware of both ends of the spectrum with these types of things. I also touch on when people hesitate, overthink or over analyze. As well that common question we all hear - where do you see yourself in 5 years...
Happy Monday to you! Inspired by another brand new week ahead I chat a bit about checking in with ourselves and seeing how we are feeling. Along with mixing things up in our day to day life and how to find ways to bring ourselves back to ourselves and truly tapping into when and if things feel just meh or too “routine.”
Happy Happy Sunday to you! In today’s episode I discuss and share my feelings and thoughts around self care. Self care is something that is not going to be the exact same for everyone and there is always going to be fluctuations with how we go about it and what we need at different points in our lives. It’s ultimately about being able to tune in to ourselves and feeling into what we need most for our physical and mental wellbeing.
Happy Saturday to you! Today I delve into the hero’s journey and how our struggles and tough experiences help us to be able to better help and serve others. And of course how with all these experiences it also helps us to grow. Remember that we all go through difficulties in life be that death, heartbreak or financial hardships. If you can start to really let the Elizabeth Gilbert quote, ““Suffering without letting yourself grow from it is nothing but wasted pain...and at the end of the Hero's journey, you come back home and share what you learned...the hero's journey is not just for you, it's a public service.” sink in it will help you to better see that all the suffering and pain is worthwhile in the long run.
Happy Happy Friday to you guys! Today I start out by doing a quick recap of this week’s episodes before I dive into this Friday’s randomable questions segment.
Here are the questions 😂 let me know your first inclination.
WOULD YOU RATHER LIVE (PERMANENTLY) IN A ROLLER COASTER PARK OR IN A ZOO?
WOULD YOU RATHER LOOK LIKE A POTATO, OR FEEL LIKE A POTATO?
YOU’RE IN THE CIRCUS, WOULD YOU RATHER BE THE PERSON WITH THEIR HEAD INSIDE THE LION’S MOUTHS OR GET SHOT OUT OF THE CANNON?
WOULD YOU RATHER NEVER BE ABLE TO EXPRESS YOURSELF ACCURATELY OR ALWAYS HAVE TO SAY THE EXACT TRUTH?
WOULD YOU RATHER BE ABLE TO COPY AND PASTE IN REAL LIFE, OR UNDO IN REAL LIFE?
WOULD YOU RATHER KEEP YOUR CURRENT SLEEP SCHEDULE OR HIBERNATE FOR 3 MONTHS AND HAVE 9 MONTHS OF 24/7 ALERTNESS WITHOUT BEING TIRED?
WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE A PERMANENTLY CLOGGED NOSE OR A PIECE OF GREEN FOOD ALWAYS STUCK IN YOUR TEETH?
WOULD YOU RATHER BE ABLE TO BREATHE UNDERWATER OR HAVE THE AGILITY OF A CAT?
Happy Thursday to you! I hope you are having an amazing day today. In today’s episode I talk about gratitude. Gratitude is one of those things that we all hear and post about but it really does have a very powerful weight that should be taken seriously. There is no “right” or “wrong” with how you go about it falling into a gratitude state. It’s all about whatever works for you and know that the way you go about it can and will evolve. Finding gratitude even in the heat of a moment or in a bad rough place.
Happy Wednesday to you! In today’s episode I talk all about the power of a simple smile. The sheer action of allowing yourself to smile it does help to not only lift your vibration but it could also help someone else. Smiling can also help bring you back to the present moment. It’s all too often that we are going through your day to day without even thinking about smiling. The importance of interjecting joy and play even as adults. I also go into the wonderful world of Brownies and Girl Scouts.
Happy Tuesday! On today’s episode I speak about starting over and beginning fresh. Allowing yourself to be a beginner and seeing things with fresh eyes. There is so much bravery that comes with starting over. Allowing yourself to have compassion for yourself as you move forward. The importance of just deciding something as opposed to hem and haw. Trusting that first inclination that comes up.
Happy Monday to you! In today’s episode I speak about the constant rollercoaster of our individual lives. Always coming back and fully trusting yourself in your own path and various relationships. Embracing the moments where you might not be able to see the path in front of you or being in a dark tunnel. Being able to be okay with not knowing. Dealing with our personal mind chatter. The importance of giving not only others compassion but also giving it right back to ourselves.
Happy Sunday morning to you! Today I speak more about the constant evolution and growth that we all go through which does sometimes means you’ll lose people. Real friends will support you no matter what. Stagnant relationships and those friendships that merely are about the memories. Why people tend to want to hold on to every friend and / or acquaintances. I also speak about David the Gnome! Does anyone remember this one? It’s good to come at different moments when you unlearn what you’ve learned. I end the episode with a deep question that is important to think about.
Happy Saturday morning to you!! Today I speak about the goodness that come from struggles, hard times and how creative we tend to be. The “will I survive” moments deepen your trust in yourself. When other people betray you or you lose trust for others you have to come back and have that trust for yourself. If you are in the thick of emotions - journal or talk and record yourself- you’ll find so many nuggets from those moments and your thoughts. I also mention that you can never truly compare your hard times to someone else’s. We all have our way of vocalizing and / or remembering certain experiences. Finally, the classic Michael Jackson Thriller song and music video. Do you remember the video and even more important do you know the dance?
Happy Friday to you! I hop all over into the Friday randomesque questions. The rare gift of being an emotional empath. Empathy is the ability to comprehend or imagine what another might be feeling. Whereas, the Empath can literally feel what another person feeling (definition pulled from google) Showing our emotions and wearing ones heart on ones sleeves. Mastering the art of a poker face (cue Lady Gaga). My thoughts on procrastination. The lost art of snail 🐌 mail and how much I cherish handwritten notes and letters. My French pen pal that I had back in middle school.
Happy Thursday guys! I hope you are having a wonderful day. Connecting our own personal dots and noticing how we tend to show up. Check in to see when you feel the “flow.” Dealing with the concept of human worry and/or the old adage of putting ones foot in your mouth. Remember that we all are inspiring someone out there. The necessity of embracing being a beginner no matter where you are in your life. Throwback Thursday to my 2012 Blog Talk Radio show - Authentic Flava 😆 Losing Yourself in different relationships or forgetting who you are. People labeling or assuming things about you. - Song Mentioned- The Hard Way - Diana Gordon
Happy Wednesday to you! Today I speak on doing what feels best or “right” for you. Dealing with people that question, doubt or just make you think that you’ve changed or aren’t the same as you were. We all lose people along our lives. Being comfortable with being the “crazy” one or going against the grain. Doing things that feel so right to you but others question. There really is no one clear defined path or steps to get to whatever you want to reach or achieve. Happiness is an inside job and just remember that everything really does have to start from yourself. I discuss stereotypes, looking young for my age and not being what people expect. What’s “right” for someone else could be “wrong” for you and vice versa. I also go into my favorites from Schoolhouse Rock.
Happy Tuesday to you! Today I share a little bit pulled from a back and forth twitter convo I had with Bryan Taylor (@brytay82) regarding when people have multiple social accounts and then what happens when you neglect or drop off. There is growth and lessons to be learned by doing too much or overcommit. Without going all in how will you learn when it’s too much for you and also recognizing when it’s time to either ask for help or to recognize when the passion/spark just is no longer there. The phoenix rising from the ashes concept comes into discussion and all the deaths and rebirths and pivots I’ve gone through. I end the show talking about music talking about Lupe Fiascos latest album, my favorites from Lil Wayne’s Carter V and also Whole Heart by Teddy Marquee.
Happy Monday guys! In today’s episode I do a little recap from the weekend and the cleaning of Instagram. I share my personal thoughts around finding our voice, our purpose and of course the idea around niches. The only to find these things is by continuing to let ourselves experience and live. As humans we are going to continue to evolve and change. Not having everything figured out or being able to have everything tied up in a neat little bow.
Happy Sunday to you! In today’s episode I speak about cleaning my Instagram account of inactive, bots and even profiles that have no photo in their main photo. Holla back to the Twitter “porn and eggs.” I also share about my ongoing evolution with Insta since 2011. I share what my first photo was. The 3 groups that I removed included: 1- bot like (you can generally tell...) 2-Have no profile photo (there’d are actually ppl that don’t have that 😏) 3- are “dead” accounts as in they aren’t actively posting like last pic in 2016.
Happy Saturday to you! Today I break down those three little words...I love you. Saying it often and always. When it comes from a genuine place why wouldn’t you say it. There’s going to obviously be different dynamics and relationships with different meanings to saying it. You never ever know who needs to hear this statement. Does it lose it’s meaning if it’s said a lot? I don’t think so. At the end of the day, if you feel it say it. I also touch on how much we all as humans want and feel the same things and go through alot of the same questions about life.
In today's Friday random edition I proceed to pick a few random questions and answer them for me personally. I share a random story of my childhood and how I solved the Rubix cube. As well as some more fun question and answers including what I could always eat and my favorite colors. Tune in and enjoy this light hearted episode on this Friday!
Happy Thursday! In today's episode I talk about the need for going through both bad and good times. Both sides of the coin help teach you and grow. The importance of the most crucial relationship with yourself. My thoughts on why we need validation. Through all of our experiences we can begin to uncover what we do want and alot of the times its easier to think of what you don't want. How much we tend to take things for granted. You cant do anything with hindsight for your past all you can do is use it now.
Happy Wednesday! In today’s episode I talk about the power of connecting with people and having heart to heart conversations. I mention my recent connection and conversation with a fellow Empath/Highly Sensitive Person - Priya Ramji. Priya and I connected right through Instagram and after our first phone call it was so clear that we are on the same wavelength. Be sure to check out her company which is all about emotional intelligence for the corporate world. I also speak about losing relationships and having the harder conversations. @sixsensegroup | @itspriyaramji | Think You’re Type A? Think Again. – Priya Ramji – Medium (https://medium.com/@itspriyaramji/https-medium-com-itspriyaramji-think-youre-type-a-think-again-1b2e4f44db12?source=linkShare-2253a5322ace-1538442745)
Happy Tuesday! Today I share my thoughts on surface and depth. Using your own read and intuition when it comes to different people places and situations. Some of the reasons why you don’t necessarily trust your own read and why you need to validate for yourself. Sometimes you do need to go through things that get messy in order to strengthen your trust for yourself. Let your feelings guide you and be mindful. Being cordial towards people that we might not agree with or want to associate with. Cordial doesnt mean you are being disingengiuos, it just means you can choose to in uncomfortable scenarios or handle healthy debates.
In today's episode, I talk about what happens when you supress emotions or hide from what you are feeling or holding back in hesitation. Sometimes, you will have to force yourself beyond your hesitations or other mind muckery. Being able to observe and feel into people online or in real life and using that to your advantage. The importance of believing your own feelings or observations.
Happy Sunday! In todays episode I riff on my thoughts around forgiveness. Both towards ourselves and others. If you forgive someone it doesnt mean that you are righting the wrong or making it seem like the action didnt occur it just allows you to let go so you can stop holding onto that. I also share just my current headspace around this podcast and how its okay to not necessarily have things all figured out. Also how its okay and "normal" to not feel like you are fitting a certain ideal of what we think we should be doing.
Happy Happy Saturday — It’s the last weekend of September so let’s make it count. Shoutout Saturday to @thiswomanfromny and her for reminding me and reflecting me to me. Wherever you go there you are. Your heart is your home. Doesn’t ever matter what your surroundings are, what job you have, starting something new, or moving - you’re still going to have all your stuff. All your truths and “baggage” goes with you no matter how much you try and run from it. A lot of these things like confidence, loving ourselves, listening to ourselves all come with time and experience. Managing and embracing yourself and your thoughts. The continuation of growth.
Happy Friday! Its time for another friday five but this time instead of 5 gratitudes and 5 random factoids about me I share my top tracks from spotify.me and answer a bunch of random questions. You won't wanna miss this one!
In today’s episode I speak about coming to the end of another month and 2019 around the corner. What is that thing that you’ve been hesitating in doing? Being our own worst critic and how that can be both a positive and a negative. Self criticism and perfectionism tend to go hand and hand. Being a human is just like an onion it has multiple and endless layers. When and how to get begins feeling stagnant. The importance of being your own biggest cheerleader and also balancing it out with being your biggest critic.
In today’s episode, I touch on perfection and how truly no one is “perfect.” We all our doing our best maneuvering through our lives. If it’s “perfect” than there is nothing to strive for or to work on. Everyone is forging their own path there really is no two paths that will ever look the same because it’s such an individual thing. The sheer power of vibrations. When you are in “rock bottom” or are going through a hard time you tend to get really creative and allowing your rollercoaster of emotions come forward. There is so many nuggets that come from being in the thick of dark times. My podcast with Jazz: Soul Gab with Ash and Jazz (https://anchor.fm/soul-gab-with-ash--jazz)
You never know who needs you. Who you might be touching or inspiring. I share my thoughts on follow through and along announcements. Sticking with a habit and becoming consistently dedicated. Letting things unfold. Being self reliant and independent. Family dynamics and the different communication and closeness of them. How I work through my own thoughts along with my creative flow. Moving through your fear or doubts or headspace. Opening up about my shame around my disappearance and shutting everything down in 2017. “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." -Albert Einstein My podcast with Jazz: Soul Gab with Ash and Jazz (https://anchor.fm/soul-gab-with-ash--jazz) Bryan Taylor: (http://passpodcast.com)
In todays episode I talk about the reflections amd awareness of finding blessing in your mistakes and your past choices. With hindsight, awareness you can truly begin to start to see why certain things transpired. When we listen to our heart it always knows exactly what we need most. I also touch on how to navigate through facing and dealing with your fear/worry around starting something new or again. I share one of my uncomfortable risks that I needed to experience at 27.
Happy Sunday! Today I share how completely glad I am to start over. Do you think you create your destiny or is it already predetermined? Having compassion for what you chose or did in your past because you did the best with what you had and the wisdom you had in that given moment. You forge your own path. You’re going to be brought similar flavored situations/relationships until you learn the lesson. My current on repeat song. — Y by Praa
Happy Autumn!!! In today's episode I share my excitement for the first day of the new season. I discuss and truly learning the crucial importance of trusting yourself. The difference between synchronicity and coincidence and noticing these moments. The heart / feeling and the mind / logic. Nothing ever happens or shows up without a reason so never overlook or doubt yourself. I also start “Shoutout Saturday 🗣” where I basically gush and love on people!! The 4 I talk about today: @thiswomanfromny @passpodcast @goodgrievings @jetsfan0523

In today's episode, Ash talks about blocking yourself and getting out of your own way. There is nothing wrong with veering off course, stopping and restarting. If there is something that you can't seem to stop wondering about or thinking about than its probably a sign that you need to try it or begin again. Alao touching on dealing with hestitating and catching oneself in fear or overanalyzing - at some point you have to rip the bandaid off.
