Now a viral creator and performer, Gabby was born an only child in Goiania, Brazil, to a mother (Brazilian performer) and father (Professional martial arts master). Gabby was instantly synchronized with two worlds that would eventually shape shift her passion to entertain. Due to her time spent living in many different countries, Gabby B is fluent in three different languages and sings in four (English, French, Portuguese, Spanish). After realizing her ability to rap at her childhood summer camp, she decided to focus her musical talents on rap and hip hop. Having been on stage since the age of 3 as a dancer, she found herself no stranger to the spotlight and made the transition from performing at dance recitals to performing her self-written lyrics as a rap artist at 10 years young. When she returned to the United States for her final year of college she earned a spot as a 2019 Official A3C Festival Artist and shortly after released two singles (“Malarkey" and "B.A.M (Buss A Move)”) which still make their way into her performance sets today. In 2021, she released singles “Born Winner” and “Pop Shit” showcasing her ability to do melodic rap as well as her growth and prowess as a “bar-spitter” respectively. That same year, she performed at the Move Forward Fest alongside rising artists such as Sleepy Hallow and Doechii, marking her first official opening set for a festival lineup. In 2022, two years removed from her college-spurred hiatus, she focused on experimenting with different sounds while perfecting her craft as seen in her singles “Like This'', “REP!”, and her Memphis-influenced collaboration with labelmate Migs718 on “Militia”. While attending SXSW, she was interviewed by Billboard and noted as an “artist to watch”, establishing her as a premier candidate for those looking for the next big thing in music. Katie sits down with the man behind Hip Hop's Baby pictures Joe Conzo JR.

In an article published on October 4, 2005 by The New York Times, reporter David González heralded Joe Conzo Jr as “The Man Who Took Hip-Hop’s Baby Pictures.” The long and perilous journey of his photographic images had finally captured the gaze of mainstream America.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Joe Conzo Jr. acquired a passion for photography as a young boy attending the Agnes Russell School on the campus of Columbia University. He continued his formal artistic education at the School of Visual Arts (NYC).

During his early development, “Joey” bore witness to the volatile state of South Bronx community activism, and to the vanguard world of New York’s Puerto Rican cultural music scene. On any given day, he could find himself at the heels of his grandmother, the late Dr. Evelina López Antonetty (a dynamic leader and passionate activist ), engaged in a defiant act of civil disobedience for the educational rights of minorities in the South Bronx. On another day, he’d find himself clinging to the shirt-tail of his father, Joe Conzo Sr. (longtime confidant and biographer for the legendary orchestra leader and musician the late Tito Puente), behind-the-scenes with the giants of Latin music like Machito, Charlie Palmieri, Johnny Pacheco and Ray Barretto. These two vivid realities would have a profound effect on how Joey viewed his environment through the lens of a camera.

Like most modern photographers, Joey has undergone the transition from film to digital. His work from behind the lens continues to reflect the main tenets of Hip Hop culture. As he once said, “Just because of a camera…,” he has traveled the USA coast-to-coast and has crossed oceans to parts of the world he thought he would never see, and everywhere he went the unfathomable spread of Hip Hop music, culture and dance was irrefutable.

Joe Conzo Jr. continues to lecture, meet with young people, exhibit his work, and attend international events.

Get to know GTM Haze.

GTM Haze is a contending hip-hop artist born in Ohio and raised in New York. At 11 years old he picked up his first instrument in the orchestra—he chose the bass, and from there, his musical journey began. Being the nephew of a hip-hop legend Get Loose Bruce, Haze has always felt a deep root in the hip-hop culture. “Music breaks any barrier” is one of GTM Haze’s favorite quotes. Haze started (GTM) which stands for Gifted Through Music. Additionally, he plans to use his musical talents to create a platform for musicians to come together and build no matter what the genre.

GTM Haze is a contending hip-hop artist born in Ohio and raised in New York. At 11 years old he picked up his first instrument in the orchestra—he chose the bass, and from there, his musical journey began. Being the nephew of a hip-hop legend Get Loose Bruce, Haze has always felt a deep root in the hip-hop culture. “Music breaks any barrier” is one of GTM Haze’s favorite quotes. Haze started (GTM) which stands for Gifted Through Music. Additionally, he plans to use his musical talents to create a platform for musicians to come together and build no matter what the genre.
