On Digmi Discussion Interview #24 - we catch up with mixed martial artist, entrepreneur and motivational content creator, Eddie “Truck” Gordon.
Eddie, a native of Jamaica and Long Island New York resident, was a standout high school football player, who’s original goal was to play in the NFL. Attending Fordham University and taking advantage of a great education, Eddie was able to pivot into a career in finance, joining the corporate world, when a career in the gridiron no longer was an option. It was in the corporate world where Eddie enjoyed professional and financial success, but was leading an unhealthy lifestyle. At nearly 300 lbs, Eddie knew he had to make a drastic change.
During a trip with friends, Eddie watched a UFC fight on t.v., and immediately committed to a new lifestyle of health, training and a career. With a total shift in mindset, Eddie left his corporate office for the octagon, beginning a career in mixed martial arts that would take him to compete in the UFC and the winner of The Ultimate Fighter.
Listen to Eddie share his personal journey, how he describes that life changing career decision, why he believes in The Guy In The Tie and is a fan of the Digmi brand, and he shares some words of inspiration and direction for those who may be looking for encouragement to get out there and chase their dreams.
Still active in MMA, Eddie is an aspiring entrepreneur, recently opening his own gym, Fit Fam, where he helps train and inspire clients to build a better version of themselves. You may also hear Eddies voice on motivational videos, where he is a content contributor to MOTIVERSITY, the number one motivational video platform, as well as being a best selling author and Emmy Award winner.
An incredible example of how the power of mind shift and commitment can lead you to accomplishing things you never thought could be possible. Eddie “Truck” Gordon is exactly what being Digmi is all about. A man who set a goal, committed to it by ignoring the doubters, embracing the possibilities and staying true to himself.
