A Bridgerton Commentary; Consent

A Bridgerton Commentary; Consent

A quick look at the Bridgerton series as consent relates to the show and Julia Quinn’s The Duke and I.

TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of rape is included in this episode as the consent issues with the show and book centers around such an event. I do not delve DEEPLY into what happens, but merely mention that it does happen.

The Wendy; A Peter Pan Retelling You Won't Want to Miss!

The Wendy; A Peter Pan Retelling You Won't Want to Miss!

The Wendy by Erin Michelle Sky and Steven Brown was the first ARC I ever received. I was approved for it on my birthday which was its own special moment in itself. I've since been rather in love with this book and its phenomenal characters to the point that I tend to rave about it nearly every chance I get. I imagine I got quite annoying about it in the beginning. With The Wendy existing as the first book that really catapulted me into the book blogging world in a real way, it only makes sense that I should return to it as I begin my journey into bookcasting.
If you like feminist novels about young women, The Wendy is an amazing one to pick up. I hope you all grow to love it as I do.
