I was taught that I needed to court right away, that I was not even allowed to be interested in people in general. So I felt that there was no point in even hanging out with someone if they were not going to be my husband. This toxic culture caused me to beat myself up if I liked someone who did not end up being "the one". I saw many perfectionistic men grow old with no wife, no girlfriend, because they were SO broken over ONE FAILED relationship or even one date.

Why is it only the men's job to be vulnerable? To be honest? I started to learn that I needed to express how I felt to a men even if it seemed "desperate". Ladies, when is the last time you actually told a guy you liked him? God wants to open your heart to love in this season!
