The work of the Redcliffe and Temple Business Improvement District (BID) in the city of Bristol is brought to life in this pilot podcast episode where we hope you will learn something new about the wide range of activities and events organised by the BID team and also hear from some of the people involved in making the area a better place to work, live and visit. The Redcliffe and Temple BID is a not for profit organisation voted for by local businesses to deliver projects and activities focused on building a vibrant and thriving commercial district alongside an outstanding community.

You’ll hear from Ben and Brandon discussing youth work and the Grassroot Activators Programme (GAP), a year-long initiative delivered over 2 days a week for 16 to 25-year-olds from marginalised communities across Bristol that seeks to raise aspirations, create role models and develop realistic pathways to future opportunities.

We visit the popular Temple Quay street food market. We hear how the market helps build community in the area whilst feeding the local workforce with tastes from around the world. Featuring the voices of local workers, the market vendors and an interview with David from Square Roots Events who manages the market. Tom from the BID team adds to the debate around sustainability.
