Roe v. Wade
Hey everyone! It has been a long time since we recorded an episode, but we plan to upload much more frequently this summer! Devastatingly, the landmark case Roe v. Wade was overturned not too long ago. We wanted to dedicate this episode to discussing the very serious implications of the decision and inform you all about resources that you can use. More information can be found on posts on our Instagram page, and we strongly encourage everyone to do their own research.
NOTE: The case was overturned in 2022, not 2020 (apologies for the confusion in the episode)

@speechanddebatestories
Hey everyone! In this episode, Ava, Jess, and Dahlia dive deeper into sexism in Speech and Debate clubs. There are mentions of sensitive topics such as sexual harassment and body image, so please listen carefully to the content warnings that are provided. This episode starts out with some statistics, then moves onto personal experiences, and finally there are stories told from the Instagram account @speechanddebatestories. Although there are instances of gender discrimination and prejudice within the Speech and Debate world, we still completely encourage more people to join their school's Speech and Debate Club (if you have one) to fight this stigma. Hope everyone enjoys this episode!🤍
P.S. Some parts of the audio will cut out, so we apologize for the inconvenience
Like A Girl
Welcome back to our podcast! Sorry for the hiatus, the last couple weeks were super busy for us. That being said, we plan to follow the regular podcast schedule moving forward--uploading every other week. For this week's episode, Maria, Neeka, and Sally talk about gender stereotypes and how society perpetuates them through gender-related insults ("like a girl"). We hope that you enjoy this episode and stay tuned for our next one where Ava, Dahlia, and Jess will talk about gender inequality in speech and debate clubs!
